04/28 - 150.4 - I ate a little more than I wanted to last night but BF made dinner and I held out until then. Think I ate a little too much there but it was soooooo good. Shoes still have not shipped and I'm honestly nervous that they won't ship until after I go back to commuting (meaning I only have the opportunity to walk Friday-Sunday). I guess that's better than nothing at all. I'm so sore from jetskis and golf trip somehow so I'm wondering if some weight is just DOMS. Another day, another chance to make changes for the better!

Edit: The girls and I decided each of us was going to meal prep lunches for the week and divide them amongst ourselves. Hard part meal prepping is having the same thing on repeat and since I commute the longest out of everyone, it makes my life easier to have lunches prepped. I'm going to make chicken teriyaki stir fry bowls and the girls each have their own they will make as a trial before things open back up fully. All of us are trying to eat healthier so hopefully this turns out well!

04/27 - I can handle this to start. I'd love to see 14x.x this round but time will tell. Especially since my weight has been jumping around, I want to see if my scale is okay and its not just me. Though, it may just be me afterall. Old batteries so guess I'll figure that out soon. My shoes have not yet shipped but with the virus and the weekend, I'm not surprised. Can't really run or walk much without them, though. Got a nice blister from walking the golf course yesterday with the boys learning how to play. Even though I didn't play, I really enjoyed it and once I learn (and get less frustrated with myself over it) I think I'm gonna be another one to the list of people I know who like to have a nice relaxing day at the course. No known plans today besides try not to nap (as much as I may wan to right now and I just woke up!). Need to hydrate horribly! Got more dehydrated and sunburn on the course than I did the beach Saturday!

04/27 DNW today. I live with my in-laws and the scale vanished from the bathroom because I think my sister in law used it to weigh her cat. So I took that as a sign from the universe to just wait until tomorrow morning. I didn’t sleep so great and woke up at 4 AM wide awake, so I’m hoping that doesn’t affect my appetite too much today. I’m hoping to be down from 125.2 tomorrow morning. It was a weekend filled with birthday dinners for my husband but I did manage to stay relatively close to calorie goals. Last night I probably went over by about 150 or so, which isn’t a killer. I also focused on drinking more water yesterday but lacked enough fiber. So drinking a good amount of water and getting enough fiber today is my goal today!

04/28 124.4 Down back into the 124 range. Dipped last round to 124 and bounced back up to 125.6 then down to 125.2. I was excited today to see I’m back in the 124 range. I also had an NSV today by upping my daily pushups from 3 sets of 20 reps to 3 sets of 25 push-ups. I’ve been doing pushups every day for a week and a half or more and feel like I have already seen a difference in muscle definition 😊. I had remembered reading in the past that your arms are one of the muscle groups you can see a change in relatively quickly. So that was nice to notice yesterday and today 😊.

Im in, thank you!! Sorry Im a day late starting but Im Jamie and I had success loosing weight in 2014 and maintained my goal weight for a year, where I gained a few back and managed to keep most of it off for 5 years. Now Im back at it and would love to hit my goal weight by end of May of 140. Ive been using the free pelaton app and working out 3-4 times per week on the treadmill with that.

Hi There!! I'm Tisha...about 3.5 years ago I started with MFP to get some weight off, 45 kind of hit me hard. One of the tools I used at that time was this here "give me 10 days" thread which I started posting on in probably round 2 or 3, it really helped. I lost 40 lbs and was probably in the best shape I've ever been in...and then life hit the fan (Dad got sick, knee injury, a few other life changes) and over the last 2 years I've managed to put back on 38 of the 40lbs I lost. Yesterday I woke up and said to myself enough is enough, you did this once before you can do it again, and I logged back into MFP!! This morning I checked to see if this thread was still active and low and behold all of you daily loggers are keeping it going!! So I'm back!!!

04/27: 140 (+.4) Lol. Burned 850 calories doing a 3 hour bike ride and I gain weight? Maybe just working through the 3 liters of water and electrolytes I drank. Had pasta for dinner and some margaritas but don’t think it was over calories. The body is truly just a chemical reaction.

04/28 (138.8 (-.2) Got a nice walk in today – rest day from the bike. Added some core and strength.

04/29- 152.4lbs got my run in yesterday plus some stretching and yoga afterwards. Today’s goal is weights! Back, arms, chest. Doing this from home will be interesting. I’m going to have to improvise to get anywhere near where I was at the gym. I guess I’m okay with not meeting those same weight lifts and just go with the flow. Accepting the day to day changes is important and not being disappointed in what can’t be as before.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.

• April: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
• 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
• Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
• Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
• Cut down on eating between meals

Never give up! Never give in!

2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.

• Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
• A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
• Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
• The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
• Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
• The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
• When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
• Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Hi everyone! 👋👋 I’m losing track of my days here lately. Some days I’m lucky to remember my name....I swear! 😂🤣 I went from Sunday to Saturday last week without leaving home. 🤯😳 Some days are good. Some days are just “meh”. This paperless, work-from-home stuff is for the birds. I cannot stand it. 😖😖 Still no word on when we can return to the office. Still waiting on a decision to hold or cancel our June horse show (May was already cancelled). No visitors allowed for Mom’s first IV chemo treatment tomorrow.
