💜Hello, everyone!!!
I've just posted out next month's group in the Motivation and Support forum. Sorry it wasn't up earlier. But come on over whenever you're ready.
Women 200lb+, Let's Jump For Joy This July!!!
See you there! 💜8 -
@changeforeverlj - what are you talking about? you lost 2/3 of a pound! And down 7.5 for the month. So, I don't think you need to beat yourself up over losing just a little less this week. You are doing great and I'm glad you took some time to enjoy your birthday! Special occasions are going to happen. You allowed yourself to celebrate and still lost weight! That is a victory!
@CupcakeCrusoe - you have got this! Your determination is inspiring. I'm rooting for you all the way! And yeah, my weight graph looks similar without pregnancies to blame. But this time, it's gonna flat-line.
@cesse47 - Meal prep is a great strategy. It's an insurance policy against chaos in your life. And you've had your share. May July bring stability to you.
@sweetirish - teal is my favorite color, and I bet it's your's too now! Best of luck for positive results in the coming days!
@micwrites - Yes! It's really important to work on loving your body at every size. Even at goal weight, our bodies are going to be flawed, so just love it and appreciate all those imperfections.
@k1975lr - congratulations on a great month! It's amazing what results just tracking your food can bring.
Thank you @RavenStCloud for starting up July. I am jumping for joy. I weighed in at 173.6 on Sunday. Sundays are always my best weigh in day. I was up to 175.5 this morning. I took yesterday off from logging but back at it today. I'm keeping a 250 calorie deficit just as a cushion for right now. I'll monitor and see what happens with the weight. This is a whole new ball game for me - being in maintenance.9 -
The scale says I have gained three pounds but I am also sore all over from taping the house (Getting the kitchen cabinets taped off has been....interesting. I don't normally bend that way) so I'm pretty sure I know where that weight is hiding.
We should be able to start painting tomorrow, especially if I can do some of the tape-and-drape upstairs while my son paints the big downstairs rooms.4 -
@BrownSugar174 Your dinner looks SO GOOD! Love salmon!!4

Happy Birthday @changeforeverlj!
@CupcakeCrusoe it looks like you have this figured out.
@orangequilt glad you got through quarantine.
@cesse47 sounds like a plan or 2.
@Tarzan37 a pound is no big deal you have this.
@micwrites I like my clothes to fit a little loose but I have been fitting into some shirts that I couldn’t before but instead of waiting until they were looser I just wear them if they fit and let them get looser as I lose. I haven’t been wearing my really loose pants either. Some of the pants that I felt uncomfortable in feel just right now. So I am not wearing those shapeless body hiding tents either even though I don’t fit in small sizes yet. I guess I am owning it too.
@elainey13 nice progress!
I am getting back to my more normal eating after a 2 day spree. I didn’t eat much junk just had some very yummy meals. I made rack of lamb today and we got nectarines and mangoes at COSTCO so we had them after dinner. I haven’t been able to find nectarines that would ripen right so I had given up. These weren’t ripe when we 1st got them but they are ripe and delicious now. I have been doing more cleaning and cooking and less exercise this weekend and today. I hope to get back to exercising but also do cleaning some every day for the physical activity as inspired by Cesse. I am trying to wear my Fitbit Versa again to see if I can. It was irritating my skin so I had to stop. I need help to up my steps etc. I also need to do better with my water intake which fell over the weekend.

Last weigh in for June is 185.2! Looks like I'll be going for 181 in July! See you all in the next thread!7
-
June starting weight- 226.6
June ending weight- 222.6
Total Loss- 4 pounds
Thoughts- While I may not have hit my June goal weight of 219 I wasn't far from it and I am counting this month as a victory I lost 4 pounds! Yeah! See you all in July!6 -
🌸 Cesse - age 72 - Check-In 🌸
308.6 lbs - starting weight on 3/28
295.4 lbs - weighin on 4/30 -- (-13.2 Total Loss to date)
291.2 lbs - weighin on 5/30 -- loss = 4.2 lbs for month of May (17.4 lb Total Loss To Date)
293.2 lbs - weighin on 6/27 -- gain = 2.0 lbs for month of June (15.4 lb Total Loss To Date)
291.2 lbs - weighin on 6/30 -- stayed same for month of July (17.4 lb Total Loss To Date)
Isn't that a kicker!! Stayed the same as weight at end of May. I know I gained in June, probably close to 5 lbs at a guess ... and whatever I gained, I've evidently lost. So, I'll consider staying the same for June to be a win! LOL
@tc03636 nice loss thus far; keep up the good work
@Tarzan37 sounds like we both struggled in June; hoping for a better July
@sweetirish hoping you hear wonderful news re your IVF; stay positive
@BrownSugar174 look at you all fit and sassy in your new shorts outfit; very inspirational
@micwrites sometimes ridding our negative body image is our biggest step forward; congrats
@elainey13 nice loss for the month WTG
@RavenStCloud Thanks for posting our July Thread
@speyerj thank you for all of your encouragement. Maintenance! You've Got This!!
@AlexandraFindsHerself1971 sounds like you're finding muscles not used before. Hang in there
@KeriA Thanks for your kind words. Seems like when I start to skip my cleaning routines, cleaning becomes overwhelming and I let it slide even more. It becomes a vicious cycle for me.
@CupcakeCrusoe Lookin' good; see you in July
@crystalsan726 Great loss for June!!8 -

June was not a good month for me from start to finish and everything in between. I had to cancel my trip home to see my family. My cat was diagnosed with mast cell tumors which may be treatable... out 1k so far already. Just feeling down and a bit defeated but I'm happy to at least see with my final weigh in this morning that I am only up .6 lbs for the month. Hopefully July will be better.
Take care, all!8 -
I've missed my crew on here. June turned out to be a bad brain month. Everything felt wrong. Everything seemed overwhelming. I didn't want to move. Didn't care about what I ate. I am starting to feel better and my bosses have recommended a vacation. Even if it is driving to the beach and dipping my toes in the water for a few minutes. Let's see if that works.8

Not really comfortable posting my weight here but I lost 8lbs in June. I rode my bike every day. A major milestone is that I went from BMI 42 morbidly obese to Obese10

I am indeed finding muscles that I didn't know I had... but I am also finding capacity to do physical work and endurance that I didn't have. I stopped painting today because the roller rubbed a blister on my hand... not because I was too tired to keep going. I worked another two hours taping plastic down over the nice wood flooring in the halls and bedrooms before I got tired. I am LOVING this new ability to work. I know it's due to the 35 pounds I've lost, and I look forward to getting moved and getting back to work losing weight.
Another victory. I know that if I have homemade cookies in the freezer, I can't stay out of them. And yep, over the course of the week, I ate the entire dozen that was in there. But I ate them two cookies at a time as dessert over six days. Which is way more balanced eating than, you know, sitting down with the dozen and just eating them one after another. So I really have changed, and I'm delighted and grateful for that.7 -

Height: 5' 6"
SW (09/08/2019): 239.2 lbs
June SW (6/1/20): 159.6 lbs
6/7/2020: 169.2 lbs
6/14/2020: 165.8 lbs
6/21/2020: 162.2 lbs

6/30/2020: 166.2 lbs
June GW: 155 lbs
GW: 150 lbs (then reconsider)
Goals for June
• Running: I started increasing my running distance again. I’m amazed that I no longer really think a six mile run is a big deal. My last two long runs have been 8.5 miles each.
• Water: Keep drinking water, at least 128 ounces a day – I met this most likely every day. I don’t really have a problem meeting this goal, the days I don’t meet it are really the exception, not the rule.
• Skin: Really slacked off this one lately. And I do have to keep saying it…ugh. The extra skin!
The first month I’ve had a gain in a year. And not a small one, seven pounds! Once I had the dental issue and some of the other problems, getting the scale under control was like herding cats in a closet or something equally difficult. There are a lot of factors at play here. I’m not sure 166.2 this morning was a real number, but I know I could not have been close to 160. I’ve been waiting most mornings to weigh, and I had to reset. Hopefully I’ll be down tomorrow morning.
I did lose 3” all around in terms of measurements. That’s what really matters, right? Still it will be nice to be on track again.
I’ll get my last stitches removed this Friday. And my gym is open, hopefully for good. I may not lose next month, either. Now that the gym is open, I want to start lifting again.
I think not having goals to work toward is probably what got me this past month. I am going to be setting some goals for myself for next month. No more giving myself passes!
I’ll keep reminding myself that at least I’m nearly half the size I once was.
I’ll see everyone over on the July thread!

Good morning everyone. Closing out June at 189.4, for a 2.6 lb gain for the month. It does not seem like a big number but I do feel changes in my body and would like to get that fit feeling back. Ready for July!!!
But, before I go -
@speyerj Congratulations on reaching maintenance! You have been such an inspiration and support for me during my journey. I appreciate you sharing your wisdom with everyone and am so excited for you. You have really transformed over the past year; not just by losing weight but by becoming an incredible athlete!
@mmdeveau You are doing great. I'm excited for you to resume at the gym and catch up with the guy you were interested in. Use the past few months as a conversation starter and say you've missed seeing him!
@sweetirish sending you the best wishes for your test result.
@Tarzan37 sending you best wishes for your cat. I hope the tumors are treatable and am glad you have stuck with everything over a hard month.
@cesse47 you have have had a rough few months as well; what an accomplishment to maintain through all of that for the month!!
Goodbye June!!!6 -
@aliciap0116 - Glad to see you back! Thanks for the support! How sweet of you to remember the gym guy! He wasn't there yesterday morning. However, it is the holiday week and many people in this area are probably down at the shore this week. Also, the gym did not send out notification they'd be reopening. It would be an exaggeration to say there were more than 25 people at the gym yesterday morning, and prior to the quarantine closing every treadmill would be in use, and almost each of the other cardio machine types would also be occupied.
Hopefully he hasn't given up!
It was nice to see some of the regular familiar faces at the gym in any case. I'm hoping to see more of them back at it, for their own sakes.4 -
@aliciap0116 Thank you. Unfortunately, my cat has a very aggressive form of this cancer and to try to treat it would take surgery followed by radiation treatments for six weeks. To the tune of 8-10k with no guarantee they would work. He's only 11 and this cancer is rare in cats. I have medications to help keep him comfortable and hopefully will have a few months left with him. It is tough. Most cats live well into their teens or even early 20's. The vet said he just drew the short straw unfortunately. He is the sweetest boy.7
