Height - 5'
SW last round, first round: 172.4 lbs. (down 3.7 lbs.)
SW this round: 168.5
G overall: 119 lbs.
06/06 - 168.5 lbs. going to try some intermittent fasting this round to stop nighttime eating...
06/07 - dnw
06/08 - 169.7 terrible weekend (pizza!!)
06/09 - 168.7 (okay - goal is to hold steady in the 168s)
06/10 - 169.2 (goal is to not eat tonight overnight!!!!) I blew it last night.
06/11 - 169.2 (Can understand why. Ate terribly yesterday. Like Nutella terribly if you know what I mean. But went for awesome walk on a trail at night, got caught int the rain but not, because I ran by butt off to a bus shelter that I saw to wait it out. Lightening and thunder - excitement. I think this week shows that I think I have been sooo successful - sarcasm there - with the first round losing almost 4 lbs. that I start to give a little and eat junky food. Have to keep telling myself consistency!! Rewards will come later when I am 119 lbs. ha!)

Round 116 SW 152.2
6/6- DNW
6/7- DNW
6/8- 153.4 I did a huge 9 mile hike with 5000' of elevation gain in the smokies this saturday, but I ate like a pig all weekend. Just going to track carefully until it comes back off. Plan on drinking a ton today.
6/9- 154 Sigh. Really? I've seen this before after a super busy weekend. Being patient. Off to track.
6/10- 153.6 It would be nice if it dropped off a bit quicker, but I know how this goes. This is a lifestyle. Repeating this mantra to myself.

6/6: 269.4 ~ Better than yesterday’s number!
6/7: 268.6 ~ Bye bye water weight! Hopefully I can end this round at 266.8 or lower.
6/8: 269.2 ~ Meh. Struggled with chocolate last night.
6/9: 266.4 ~ Whoosh! I actually weighed myself twice because I was sure that was wrong!
6/10: 266.4 ~ Can’t believe that number stuck around. Cool.
6/11: 265.8 ~ Half a pound to my pre-Covid weight. I was expecting a jump on the scale, so was pleasantly surprised to be 265!

My first full round
5’5”, 48-year-old female
Highest weight: 156
Ultimate goal weight: 130
Goal for this round: Lower than where I started.
06/06: 153.2
06/07: 151.2 Not sure how this happened, but I’ll take it! I’ve had a very busy weekend with a family wedding, so lots of good food, but also a lot of running around helping my sister.
06/08: 149.8 I don’t expect this to stay - most of the day yesterday I fasted in prayer for a dear family friend who was in a horrific car accident recently. Less than 800 calories total.
06/09: 150.8 Glad the gain I expected wasn’t too much. Hoping to work hard to keep it here or below.
06/10: 149.0 Fingers crossed I can keep it below that 150 threshold. I have a tendency to get excited when I see good numbers and then “reward” myself with a treat. So stupid and self-sabotaging! No treats today!
06/11: 151.0 Oof! But still down for the round, so perspective. Not making excuses, but while I didn’t succumb to treats, we did have a very high-calorie meal to celebrate something great for one of my kids. Also, TOM.

OSW-187 Sept. 2018
Goal Weight this Round: Stay in 140’s
Drink plenty of water, keep organizing.Walk
6/6-149 Walked 7 miles. It’s been cooler and breezy!
6/7-152-No walk, worked around the house with DH, then brought the rest of my clothes here AFTER I reinforced my closet rod. I prepped for lunch at my in-laws today, including pie and bread. We take it to their house and sit out in the backyard and eat and visit. They are 77 & 90 and don’t go anywhere. I may not even weigh tomorrow. Have a wonderful Sunday!🌸
6/8-150-I really don’t deserve this; I ate some of everything and then came home and had beer and garlic bread for dinner.
6/9-Windy, appointments and not much of a walk. Today will be better.....I can just feel it!!!🙂
6/10-151-Had to get a mammogram yesterday, so I treated myself to hamburger and fries but didn’t get king sized and had iced tea. Continued to drink water and did a smaller walk. I’m hoping for a bike ride this morning before it’s hot!
6/11-149-Rode the bike 11 miles and ate light. Walking today and it’s going to be hot.11 -

06/05 …..209.2….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/06 …..209.2 ….. No planned exercise yesterday on a very busy day. Stuck to eating plan but the snacks were the unauthorized kind. Babysitting my 1 yr old grandson today. I would like some outdoor fun but a bear was in the yard yesterday. A little nervous about that!
06/07 …..209.2 ….. I can do better!
06/08 …..211.0 ….. In a horrid work rush all day I skipped lunch and dinner and then filled up on Junk thinking it would even itself out. What in the Sam Heck was I thinking????? Today will be even busier but I must be more prepared!
06/09 …..211.0 ….. Food was on point but exercise was lacking. Very low water intake due to “busy, busy. Where did the time go?” with my home business. So many details but just not enough steady active movement. I am traveling today which will help escape the weather that is forcasted to be in the 90s. No AC (rare in this area to have AC due to weak electricity in old buildings) so my car will be cool and the stores in the city will have AC, thank Goodness! I will be hauling back a TON of supplies for current projects (Home Depot, here I come!) Stay safe & stay cool today everyone!
06/10 …..211.0 ….. Well, that makes me a little nervous but I guess I should be pleased. During the travels yesterday, I ate twice at restaurants. I did try to keep it very reasonable and stick to good choices. One choice, however, was Chinese food with my travel partner. I stuck to a better-than-usual selection but usually I retain more water. We shall see in the coming 2-3 days if the scale wreaks havoc with an after-shock.
06/11 …..211.0 ….. Wow! Now I seem really stuck. I’m gonna try to shake it up today,. Busy day. No planned exercise but lots of movement ahead and plenty of steps in store for me. Let’s see what happens!

ENDING WEIGHT YESTERDAY: 211.0
Day 01 – 06/09 …..211.0….. Traveling today which will help get me out of the expected HOT day. So I do expect an increase on the scale tomorrow (water weight) but all will be okay. I’ll stay on top of it in the coming week. I am looking forward to some progress (finally)! Good luck everyone on this 100 !!!!
Day 02 – 06/10 …..211.0….. I’m actually pleased with this after a very long day of travel (sitting & restaurants). Usually I just drive by a restaurant sign and gain a few pounds. It’s time to work my way down now!
Day 03 – 06/11 …..211.0….. No change again. Unusual for me to hit a plateau at my higher weights. I don’t know if that is what is going on but I guess time will tell. @dawnbgethealthy Congrats on hitting the 140’s. All that gardening and sacrifice is paying off (zumba too!) You continue to inspire!

Please join us! Starting on 06/15 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 116
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Learned a lot about my weight tendencies during my first challenge 10 days ago. This will be my last challenge before vacation so I'm going big. Goal is to lose at least 5# by increasing exercise and maintaining MFP goal calories. I actually think I can lose more as the last two days of the last challenge served me up a couple pounds back, but who needs that kind of pressure!?
SW: 178.6
6/6-176.8 up for 24 hours with a family medical emergency that had a happy enough ending for my sweet momma. Not the way to lose water weight!
6/7-176.4 I don't know how, but I will accept those lost bonus ounces. Slept till noon; made poor food choices [yet stayed within MFP goal]; somehow walked 10,000 steps, only 1 mile intentionally.
6/8- 176.3 Walked...a LOT. Gardened a bit.
6/9- 176 My digital scale had a "twitch" between this weight, and 175.9. Hoping to have a "5" tomorrow!
6/10-174.3 I'm ok skipping the "5". Took a day off of IF 11-7 eating window. Ate bigger earlier in the day and took advantage of the pause in the day of rain to walk, walk, walk...
6/11 -175.1 The "5" came a day late!

Round 116
06/06 215
06/07 216Well .... at least I know my scales aren’t broken.... hormones this time, I think and a massive lack of water 💦 ... getting back on it today....
06/08 215.75It's heading in the right direction! Hitting the H2O big style and continuing the intermittent fasting. Seem to be naturally working my way up from 16:8 to 18:6. Again I can see body composition changes instead of scale changes.... hoping the scale will kick in properly soon. It's all a learning curve
06/09 214.25Take that scales! 🥳 Finally!! The last couple of days I've been tweaking the carbs, keeping to about 70-80g carbs and lots of fibre with as much water as I can guzzle without going sploosh.
Interestingly, I've also tried to up my calorie intake as well. With IF, I have struggled to get above 1100 cals in a 2 meals with optional snack. So I've started trying to hit a minimum of 1200 more often.
I've also started breaking my fast with a vegan based protein shake with some added bits and bobs, followed by a solid meal. I've upped my steps and started doing more stretching to loosen up the joints and muscles.
I guess I'm throwing everything at it to try and get the scales to budge, so now I'll just track these for a bit to see if the downward trend continues.....
06/10 213.5Super happy to be consolidating the drop and hopefully seeing some momentum . Yesterday I actually struggled to keep to my cals, but I walked more to compensate. Then I tried a new ab workout on YouTube and every other move made me issue a bunch of expletives no one needs to hear! Safe to say, I'm glad I tried, but it just wasn't my thing. I have found some alternatives though, so all is not lost. But wow my abs are weak right now. Looking forward to making them stronger and hopefully improving my posture at the same time!
06/11 214.75
Well I guess I deserved that one. Yesterday was a struggle. I was sore from the ridiculous ab workout the day before and didn't do more than some stretching. I just about made a minimum water chug
Going through an emotional grind right now. My partner and I got together shortly before lockdown in the UK started and it's been a rollercoaster 4 months just trying to keep things going while not seeing each other. It's difficult to see a way forward and it's been brewing this last week about whether we can sustain it or not.
I'm in awe of anyone who has family deployed abroad or can't see their loved ones as part of normal life - that's without a virus on top! You guys rock!
My eating wasn't bad but it could have been better. I ordered in from a local restaurant, and while I kept to grilled chicken and fish with some lentils, it probably had a small mountain of salt in it Normally I would be heading for something more comforting, so I guess I'm learning more to deal with my emotions properly rather than eating them.
This morning I woke up too early after 3 hours sleep and so instead of wallowing, I put my workout gear on and walked a brisk 4 miles until my head felt clear. There may have been a few tears, but by the time anyone saw me, it could have been taken as sweat - so it's all good
Wishing you all a strong and positive day ahead! Let's do this!!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back doing 5 miles a day!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- June: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Wishing you all a strong and positive day ahead! Let's do this!!

Day/Weight/Comment
06/06 134.8 – 10.36 miles walked yesterday. So lucky to stay at this weight this morning; had a bad day yesterday, gave up logging by tea time when I had reached 2838 calories consumed. Sorry to have to say this (yet) again, but why do I self destruct?? I know what it does to me, but in truth I am a food addict & once I get into a feeding frenzy I can't stop. (Sigh) I am so disappointed with myself on these days. I'm going to try this 10 day to be at/under calories every day. I mean it's just 10 days and as it is fastly approachung tea time now, then day 1 is almost done!! I need to be strong/sensible.
06/07 134.8 – 9.33 miles walked yesterday, 664 calories in credit and all macros well in green. A much better day yesterday; in control . What I have noticed is that even a few pounds make a difference to my resting heart rate? When at goal it's usually around 46 bpm, a few pounds on and it creeps up to 47, 48, when I get to 135 ish pounds its up to 50 bpm, that in turn pushes my heart rate up when walking, which I tend to do at/just under 4 miles per hour, I can feel that difference in my breathing whilst walking too !! Just an observation.
06/08 134.8 – 9.1 miles walked yesterday. 571 calories in credit, all macros in green.
06/09 134.8 - 11.73 miles walked yesterday, 407 calories in credit, but 4g fat over.
06/10 132.8 – wow!! got on the scales 3 times to make sure not a false reading! Would be happy to keep this to the end of the round (would be happy with half this loss!), but have to be realistic & expect normal fluctuations. 8.38 miles walked yesterday, 667 calories in credit, all macros in credit.
06/11 132.8 managed to hold on to this ! - 9.66 miles walked yesterday – 483 calories in credit, fat 5g over.
06/12 133.2 – 8.46 miles walked yesterday. 337 calories in credit, carbs 18g over.

OSW 88KG
RSW 59.4kg (-28.6 kg) or {63 lbs}

06/06 59.4kg...a good start but having a rest day so I need to be careful
06/07 60.0kg another rest day
06/08 59.5kg great start to the week
06/09 60.05kg late heavy dinner last night but not too bad.
06/10 59.95kg which was a surprise after the calories from yesterday!
06/11 59.35kg I was super good and super mindful yesterday.
06/12 58.95kg yay! Mindfulness seems to be an answer. Now to remain mindful over the weekend without exercise to focus me.

Seem to be at a bit of a plateau. I need to keep focussed, not get despondent and hope for a drop soon.

I don't understand it. I've been good and yet the scales are not shifting. If I don't see a downward whoosh soon I'll need to rethink my strategy.
06/11 144.5
Hanging on in there. I'm not going to give up.
06/12 145.2
I really don't understand this. I've been good with my food and been walking lots, averaging 20,000 steps a day. Need to come up with a new strategy.

06/06: 152.6 - Got a new phone, so fell behind on posting. Mexican food, ice cream, peanut butter & jam with a spoon. Clearly out of control. Fitbit says 4,891 (2.41 miles).
06/07: DNW - Started out well, until roommate smiled and said she'd brought me more ice-cream. Fought the thought for a hour until I caved. Phenomenon of craving is in full swing. Praying for willingness.
06/08: DNW - Let go of the idea that I can rely on my will power. And go figure, cravings left me! I'll forget again soon enough, but with y'all's help, I'm remembering quicker. Fitbit says 9,194 steps (4.01 miles).
06/09: 151.8 - Another good day. Mind not as troubled as last week. Still staying too busy, but eating, sleeping, chilling, enjoying better. And waddaya know... resting heart rate starting to slowly go down again at a steady 67 instead of the jump to 69/70. Usual is in the low 60s. I feel this marker tells the full story. Fitbit says 3,559 steps (1.55 miles). K, it was raining all day, but that's still just a excuse.
06/10: 150.8 - eggs for breakfast, roommate suggested I "look in the freezer". The doll brought me the Peanut Buster Parfait I'd been craving since the weekend, but had so far avoided. First sugar in several days, but totally worth it. No additional cravings so far. Fitbit says 10,117 steps (4.41 miles).
06/10: 149.6 - I'm used to fending for myself wrt food. Lately I'm getting spoiled though. Was served eggs for breakfast, then a veggie pizza and... brownies arrived. I guess another day off of my usual no sugar/no grains lifestyle. Fitbit says 10,201 steps (4.5 miles).
