Notes:
July 22: Big work project is still taking priority in my life, resulting in a very sedentary day-to-day plus slight relaxing of food intake. However, I do think I'm getting a better feel for my daily calorie and nutrition needs.
July 15: Man, it's mid-July already! This past week, the biggest change has been my exercise routine being readily sacrificed as a big work project has taken over. Hopefully, this is just a temporary pause, and I will get back to the routine when the project is over. However, I realize that one of my fears is that these good habits and routines will be easily abandoned when I eventually go back to a "normal" work and social life.
July 8: I have been having suspicions that my scale is not accurate. This morning I got 3 different readings within one hour during weigh-in. Hm. However, this past week, I primarily focused on eating back most of my exercise calories. Physical activity has been about the same, although maybe a bit more biking during the holiday weekend. That said, I still feel some bouts of fatigue, both physical and mental. Maybe time for a diet break next week?
July 1: After being quite pleased with last month's results, I'm back for the July challenge! I want to keep the focus, hard work and consistency going. An added motivation: I may be going back to the office in early August, so I want to show up to work all glowed up.

June 30 starting weight - 148.0 (ten-day rolling average weight 148.8)
July goal - 145
Ultimate goal - Range between 142 - 148
I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

July 18: 147.4 (10-day average 147.0)
July 25: 145.6 (10-day average 145.8)
July 31:
Total loss for July: One half pound since the end of June, but over a pound, even by ten-day average, from a week ago. I'm feeling like I'm back on track. I am still in the top third of my ideal maintenance range, but close to the middle of my absolute maintenance range.
I can allow myself to be happy that I'm still slowly making progress to get back closer to my ultimate goal weight after the COVID weight gain in March and April. I'm staying in my maintenance range. Today I weigh less than one month ago, less than two months ago, and less than three months ago. My ten-day average weight is EXACTLY the same as a year ago. That's maintenance I guess, so I can give myself some credit and stop being so upset that it's taking so long to lose those last few stubborn pounds. I'll get there. YOU WILL TOO!4 -

July 13: 186.6
July 20: 182.6
July 27: 183.6 not sweating the one pound. I’m a little bloated from some bad food choices (they were delicious and worth it) over the weekend. My trend is still heading in the right direction, that’s what matters most.

Total loss for July is 5.8lbs! I am thrilled! I barely exercised at all this month, so this all come from strict logging. I also had a personal “no chip” (crisps) challenge for the month. They are a trigger for me, so excluding them helped me stay in my calorie goal. I’m excited to hopefully hit the 130s next month. See you in August!6 -

Good on you for not worrying about a minor blip up. If you track your trend, you're doing well, and you're at your goal for the month! Right on!
As to the bolded part, since you did enjoy it, since it was delicious, and since it was worth it, maybe you shouldn't think of it as "bad." Maybe it was a treat. Maybe it was fine, and you can have it from time to time and NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF GUILT because food isn't bad.3
