Thanks Karen! I love red, as you can tell.

I did notice that my swimwear and pj drawers are messy....I need to clean them up. That may happen later today. They are the ones that I don't fold the way I do everything else. Maybe I should do that.

    CBD,
Heather you mentioned CBD recently so I googled to see why it was not allowed in france and found that it is allowed. and a specialised shop just opened up 3 weeks ago in my neighbourhood. I think some of you have mentioned CBD use. Any thoughts, experiences or suggestions?

I went in cause I saw good reviews on line.
there seemed to be 3 main options
    cream (like skin cream)
oil with different percentages of CBD
    plant

The law in Europe is that TBD with less than 0.2% THC can not be forbidden for sale, so france has to abide by that, and is not being more open like some countries are.
I disliked the smell of the plant, so I got the oil. they had 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% CBD. 20% costs about 4x as much as 5%, which is about 22 euros for a little bottle the size of essential oils or fleurs de Bach. he suggested to take in evening, not in morning, but then later said to take 2 drops under tongue in morning and 2 drops in evening, no more than 15 per day. I tried to take 2 drops (in evening) but I' think I maybe had more, 3 or 4.

I won't take tomorrow morning as I have to drive and have to work out some stuff at work with a new class.

I'll try some other morning when not driving and no new class, and no complicated stuff to work out.

    I'm sooo tired.
it's freaky. these days. as soon as one sneezes the wrong way, one can wonder if one doesn't have COVID.

Very happy to have clean house and emptier closet.

    PARING DOWN
I went on the Camino a few times, 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 3 days (knee problem). It's great for paring down. walking with all on back, including some food and water, and weight of bag, basically one walks with one change of clothes, toiletries, food necessities for a day or two, water, and maybe a notebook and a guide book, to make, in theory 10% of one's weight max. I was able to be down to 6K including 1K of bag and 1k of water, so lived basically with just one change of clothes for 2 weeks each time. each time I got home, after the two weeks away, something like more than 4 tops, and dozens of books, and so on, started to seem so excessive!

I'm thrilled that there is a natural paring down. also that it is more acceptable, and even appreciated now, not to have a lot of clothes and stuff.

makes life simpler and a little lighter.

Deb--That is one big egg plant.

Machka-- R&R for me, is spending the time with DH out geocache and just spending time us together in the jeep. Makes me feel like we are the only 2 people. My other would be home working on a craft. Right now I am knitting baby blankets for family.

DrKatie--I love your drawers and plan to go home and do mine that way. Thanks for sharing.

They just came around to do flu shot, so that is done. Phones are still not working right, but a issue with the server. Makes for another interesting and stressful day. Just have to remember to breath.

RVRita-Thanks for sharing the pictures, really enjoy them.

Going to get to 80 today and then cool back down to 70's rest of week. I love that weather. I go to church this evening and take pictures if anyone shows up. I just hope I do not mess it up.

    Blessings, Vicki GI NE <3

Karen - yes, I also thought hypothyroidism possible. I have had really dry skin, which is also SS. Jaw glands hurting a bit right now, so ear aches in sympathy with throat. Feeling better in myself though. :D

Made heavenly Cauliflower Cheese tonight. Total yum! Unlike mac and cheese, all the calories are in the sauce. :D I topped it with a bit of bacon and tomatoes.

Great British Bake Off tonight. :)

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Bananas: CBD oil is marketed for pets. It is made from industrial hemp, not from marijuana. DH and the dog both enjoy its benefits. DH says it reduces anxiety and also helps reduce pain. In our area there are several places to buy it, ACE hardware, and Safeway are two main places to buy in our town. Pet stores also sell it. The brand we like is made by a company called QuadraMeds. DH's preferred strength is 1000mg. DH puts a few drops into a beverage. The dog gets it squirted onto his dogfood. It relieves pain for man & dog. :star:

DH ordered a new Mac computer and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. The UPS driver did not stay long enough for DH to get to the door. She took the computer and left. Supposedly, it will be brought here today. We will be staying home until it gets here. I want it opened and looked at before the driver leaves, in case it has been mishandled. :grumble:

I have not used CBD for anything, but I know many who have. What you get depends on what you're trying to achieve. I know people who use cream for rubbing on areas that are inflamed and it helped with pain. Others use it to sleep better. In that case, it's some sort of chew, candy, or butter. Others use it for anti-stress/anti-anxiety. I would ask at the shop what they recommend for what you want to achieve.

@Machka9 - Thanks for spurring me into action. The pj drawer was only messy on top so it didn't take but a few minutes to clean it and the swimwear drawer.

DH’s new computer is here! Yay!!! I’m willing to carry it to his desk, but everything else is up to him. I think there will be files to transfer and that is a good time for me to stay out of the way. 😎

Out in Eastern Wa at big medical center with friend that has speciality lung test. Nice day here. Sitting in car for now and will go walking and check area out as I have an hour to kill.

I got call early this morning for road trip because her granddaughter is sick with sars2/COVID. She hasn’t been around her in 2 weeks and she has no symptoms, so she should be ok.

Cell phone posting sucks green persimmons. I was in such a hurry I forgot my dentures and I had bras hanging to dry, so no bra either. Off to walk now and see if anything to photo for you all. XO Faetta

Went to the gym and they were going to have a class in about ½ hr (I could have sworn that it wasn’t on the schedule on the web), so left and went to the Salvation Army, I think I got a glass jar large enough to see if my starter doubled. Then went to the post office and the ATM. Home to exercise. Now I’m making sourdough bread. It certainly looked to me like the starter had doubled and it passed the float test

I got a real nice letter from a customer at Food Lion thanking me for being so kind and thoughtful. I thought that was nice. One part of me wishes she’d also mentioned it to the higher-ups but that’s OK. There was a big monkey-monk there today. Evidently, TECHNICALLY I’m supposed to be only cleaning. It seems they get some sort of government grant to pay for a person to only disinfect etc. so I needed to appear like I was only cleaning. Personally, as a customer, if I saw someone only cleaning and I was waiting, I would much rather the person help check me out and let the cleaning go. But I can understand where the higher-ups are coming from. Food Lion has small carts and larger ones. It seems that this other gal was told that as long as they have the larger carts, to leave the smaller ones in the parking lot. See, normally, to me they should be there for the customer to use. But corporate is probably thinking something like “if you have a larger cart, you will be more likely to make an impulse purchase. But if it won’t fit into the smaller cart, you may not buy it.” Not the way I think but I can see it and I can suck it up for one day.

    – If you were to take one or two of the shirts out of the drawer, don’t the others fall?

    Katla
    – the float test is you put a little of the starter in a bowl of water. If it floats, then the starter has enough air in it and is ripe. It certainly looked right to me so that’s why I’m making it right now.

Oh, yes, please share the pattern for that mask the grandmother made. I’d love to make one if I can

    – your description of how they filmed Halloween Town made me think of the Christmas Light Fights. It seems they film the episodes in like October but the people can’t say anything about it. It just looks strange to see people in places like North Dakota wearing just a light jacket and seeing the grass….lol

R&R for me is crafting and cooking

    Fae
    – good luck to your friend. Good use of your time!

Tracy: I love the family photos, the campfire, & the lake. Beautiful!!!

DH’s new computer has been delivered. He has been “moving in” to the new computer most of the day. I hope he likes it. At this point, it is looking good. The old one was starting to have screen issues. DH is planning to send the old computer to our son. Hopefully our son will fix it up and donate it to someone who needs a computer. I hope it works out.
