Goal by Daughter Wedding April 8: 155lbs
Goal this round: 162.6lbs or less
End of round 127 Oct 3= 163.2 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
10/4: 163.8lbs I did not count calories and we ate out for my birthday. Fasted 21 hours. Only 7000 steps, we did a bunch of driving. But not a bad start.
10/5 163.8 lbs over 1600 calories, 7000 steps, had a completely good lazy weekend. It helps to have slow goals, I get less discouraged and at least I am not gaining.
10/6 163.2 lbs
10/7 162.2 lbs
10/8 162.2 lbs Hoping to hold on to this over the weekend. Acres of Terror
10/9 DNW Visiting Family
10/10 163.6 lbs
10/11 163.6 lbs

10/13 165.8 lbs Son finished his contract from the army and returned home after four years. A bit of indulging at Red Lobster, etc.

Ultimate goal weight: 150
Round 126 SW: 266.6 (+.4)
Round 127 SW: 267.0 (-.2)
Round 128 SW: 266.8 (+1.2)
10/4: 267
10/5: 266.4 ~ I’m going to start taking waist measurements on the weekends. I’m tired of not seeing my weight really change and having no other measurements to check if I’m making progress. I always aim to keep things as simple as possible or I know I won’t follow through, which is why I’m doing just my waist measurement and not my whole body.
10/6: 266.8
10/7: DNW
10/8: 266.4 ~ Starting to feel like I am really getting my weight loss mindset back!
10/9: 265.6 ~ Awesome!
10/10: 265.8
10/11: 268.6 ~ Period water retention and bloating. A three pound jump is actually pretty normal for me.
10/12: 268.2 ~ Better! I’ll take water retention over cramps lol
10/13: 268 ~ Next round will look better lol7 -
JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 126 (round 58 for me ) I'm in for another round – I need it! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Challenge for this round will be the start of our fortnight's holiday 19th onwards, but goal for this round – to lose a pound. Stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, keep the 10 days binge free again, it makes such a difference!End of round 69 134.2 lbsKeep calm – we're all in this together! Day/Weight/Comment
10/04 133.8 - no structured walking yesterday due to travelling back home and persistent train ?, hence eating yesterday was at maintenance level. Really hoping this rain stops soon ,?.
10/05 133.2 - 9.55 miles walked yesterday, 774 calories in credit, all macros in green. Feeling refreshed after holiday and ready to push on.
10/06 133.2 – 6.26 miles walked yesterday (struggling to get miles in with the rain!) 28 calories in credit but 15g carbs over.
10/07 133.6 - 11.08 miles walked yesterday, so pleased the rain held off during the morning. 869 calories in credit, all macros in green.
10/08 133.6 – 12.7 miles walked yesterday, 724 calories in credit & all macros in green.
10/09 133.6 – only 3.83 miles walked yesterday, running around following my 2.5 year old DGS around a country park, jumping him over logs, rocks, splashing through puddles – you get the picture!! Hence 427 calories, 107g carbs & 7g fat over. Todays a more easily controlled day, but Friday is pizza night !!!
10/10 133.6 – 9.4 miles walked yesterday, 521 calories in credit & all macros in green.
10/11 133.4 - 7.54 miles walked yesterday. 328 calories in credit, all macros in green. Ready to move down out of the 133's now!!
10/12 133.4 - 13.48 miles walked yesterday on Cannock Chase, our local AONB, fabulous autimnal colours in the trees and we were treated to the sight of a stag crossing the path in front of us on three seperate occasions – such an amazing sight. 791 calories in credit, all macros in green.
10/13 133.4 – 11.07 miles walked yesterday, not a good eating day; I confess to going on a chocolate binge, luckily kept yesterdays weight, lets hope tomorrows scale is kind to me!!! 0.4 pounds last since end of last round.
KEEP SAFE EVERYONE . Keep calm – we're all in this together!

Round 128
Age: 39
Height: 5’ 4”
SW: 163
CW: 150.4
GW: 145
UGW: 130
GW for this round: 148
Round 126 (1): 156 to 153.2 (-2.8 lbs)
Round 127 (2): 153.2 to 150.4 (-2.8 lbs)
10/04 - 150.4 - Continuing to hold steady from the end of the last round. Feeling great - I chopped my hair off last night and I don’t think I did that bad of a job! Got out for a run this morning and will be meal prepping this afternoon.
10/05 - 151.0 - The only reason I can think of for this gain is water weight - so hopefully I’ve got a whoosh coming in my future! I ran about 2 miles yesterday, then did a 3+ mile family hike (pushing 70+ lbs of kids and stroller), so I know I came in under calories since I didn’t eat differently from usual. I did my regular workout this morning and will track carefully this week.
10/06 - 150.4 - And back down again. Pretty tired this morning- feeling very heavy and low on energy. I took the kids out to a nearby garden this morning and let them run and play - really hoping that means a good nap for the toddler and an easier afternoon.
10/07 - 150.0 - Oooo, so close! I haven’t seen below 150 since my almost 5 year old was born. (Of course, by saying this I’ve guaranteed it will go back up tomorrow, right?) Tweaked something in my back yesterday which made sleep hard, but feeling better this morning.
10/08 - 149.6 - *happy dance* I can do this! I am doing it, and I will keep doing it! Yay!
10/09 - 149.4 - Very happy that the scale stayed under 150. We had takeout burgers and fries for dinner last night, and while I tried to keep mine reasonably healthy (switched the burger to a grilled chicken breast, only ate half and gave myself a fixed portion of fries) I was expecting the sodium to push the scale number up. Didn’t do as much Ring Fit this morning since I got up a little late, but we’ve been out for a long walk and will spend most of today outside given the nice cool weather and clean air!
10/10 - 149.2 - I am definitely noticing a difference in how my body feels when I exercise after a poor night’s sleep vs a good one. Woke up at 3 AM and couldn’t fall back asleep - finally got out of bed at 5:30. Dragged myself through Ring Fit but it didn’t feel energizing like it usually does. Hopefully the coffee will help since I’ve got a bunch of things to do around the house this morning, then going to an outdoor wine tasting that I’m SUPER excited about.
10/11 148.2 - Hello, mini-whoosh! Not sure where that come from, since yesterday was my first real “maintenance” day since I started working to lose weight and tone up. The wine tasting was amazing - socially distanced, outside with a beautiful sunset, and got to spend a few hours kid-free with friends. I tracked the snacks we had for dinner and included the wine - certainly higher than my usual calorie count for the day but nothing that would undo all the progress I’ve made.
10/12 - 148.4 - Hoping to end strong tomorrow. Really pleased with how this challenge went and I’m looking forward to the next one. I need to get to sleep earlier though; now I have to get up at 5:30 or so going to bed at 11:30-midnight is just not working.
10/13 - 148.0 - Just made goal - 15 lbs lost! Continuing to exercise each day is really making a difference - I think I see more definition in my arms and legs, though it could just be my imagination. I’m going to start taking hip and waist measurements at the end of each challenge to see if I can make some non-scale gains there too. Ready for the next round!
Total round loss: 2.4 lbs8 -
Thank you @GrandmaJackie for this opportunity. Wishing much success for each of us throughout these ten days.
3rd Round: 128
Day/Weight/Comment
10/04 189 Looking forward to conquering the 180s
10/05 188.6 Committed to going into the New Year with renewed health - 10 days at a time
10/06 188.3 Balancing spiritual, mental, physical. Realization: Food plays an integral role for each
10/07 187.l Eating all allotted calories this round, continuing consistent daily deficit...life is good
10/08 187 Upper body workout only due to temporary injury. My lifestyle survives any challenge. Bring it!
10/09 188 Missing Roadwork....stretches/appropriate weights & sauna. Food/calories on point. Staying dedicated
10/10 189 OK... warrior time, mentally. Continuing to trust the process and the science. I will continue to maintain my daily exercise (with accommodation for temporary injury), eat all my calories up to my daily deficit, and remain resolute in my goals. "You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a daily habit".
10/11 187 Confirmation that when your scale shows a gain....stay strong and maintain the deficit. The science wins out. For the last four months I've never eaten over my deficit. I used to eat less than my suggested deficit which, I discovered, would create long plateaus as my body metabolism would slow down to compensate for the very low calories. I adjusted to eat right up to my daily caloric deficit and it is currently working. I constantly reflect/review and will change if the plan is not working. I'm loving how I eat and I'm never hungry... patience is required when I get a temporary jolt upward, just my body processing and accepting this way of life. Lovin' my life....enjoy and stay strong!
10/12 186.7 Appreciate this tribe...keeping me accountable today
10/13 188 Late yesterday I took the path less traveled for the first time in four months. I was experiencing failure/frustration for not being able to start my mornings with roadwork. My pain and inability to ambulate without pain lead me to a poor food choice....nuts and lots. I am a lifelong learner and know that my mindset and how I react to challenges is what is critical in my life. My goals will only be met by my actions. Authenticity, for me, is matching my practice with my desires. I prioritize health, joy, and gratitude. Today, I am making good decisions. My poor decision yesterday was a brief action and I will recoup quickly. I am compensating for my inability to physically move with other exercises and I will get through this temporary setback. I am moving ahead and have learned from my actions. My trajectory is clear and anticipating success for the next ten days.7 -
I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle. Getting back to it slowly.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/03 …..210.4….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
10/04 …..210.0 ….. The gift of the pumpkin bread from a friend didn’t help, but I’m working it back down. Luckily it was a mini loaf which I shared. All gone!
10/05 …..211.6….. WTH??? A lot of steps yesterday and food seemed balanced. However, dinner at 11:00 pm (busy day) and no TMI probably contributed. I will stay mindful today!
10/06 …..209.4 ….. Wildly all over the place. Not my scale, just my habits and my TMI. Happy to see such a nice Whoosh today!
10/07 …..209.6….. Fluctuation. Yesterday was a pretty good day!
10/08 …..209.8 ….. I’m still going to call this a fluctuation because I had a very good day yesterday. However, no TMI x 2 days so that is probably it. Overall, I am making better choices. Last night I prep cooked for today’s lunch and leftovers for dinner. A very low cal & low carb dish. It should help. I absolutely cannot keep dipping back up into the 210 and higher. I’ve got to take this gift of 209 point whatever and continue a downward trend. I am very proud of myself right now.
10/09 …..209.6 ….. TMI helped finally. I also ate prepped food which was very good but I became severely hungry last night due to the low calorie options. The snacks were not healthy and not in plan or my numbers would have been better. My car broke down last night also. I think it’s the transmission. In the shop today. This is not good. Pray for me that it will be fixable at a reasonable cost!
10/10 …..210.0 ….. I went out for fish fry for the first time in awhile which included hash browns. I will try to watch it very carefully today.
10/11 …..209.2 ….. Practiced a little IF yesterday which seems to have helped. That meant eating my meals later but it also cut out the need for excessive midnight madness snacks. I am doing the happy dance today since my round goal is to lose ANYTHING, even fractions of fractions of a pound and this morning I am down over a whole pound!
10/12 …..208.6 ….. Very happy today but a bit surprised. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
10/13 …..208.6 ….. Thrilled that I ended 2.8 lbs down. I haven’t done that in awhile! I traveled today so I suspect that I will not start the next round out in a very good position, but I will stay focused and confident and repair any damage asap. Positive attitude! Good round everyone! Thanks for all the inspirations and ideas.

Day/Weight/Comment
4/10 125.3kg
Hubby and kids have left town for a few days. I'm planning on catching up on sleep, work and housework.
5/10 125.5kg
I'm maintaining trust in the process. Last month I had 10 days of slow increase, then a big drop. Today is day 5.
6/10 124.8kg
Whoosh. A bit earlier and less than I expected, but if it doesn't go as high, I can't be surprised that it doesn't go as low. Reuniting with my family tomorrow. It has been a lovely few days by myself.
7/10 124.3kg
Another big drop. This gets me much closer to where I would be without the bumps. Gone on holidays, so no weighing for a few days, but I will keep on checking in.
8/10 DNW
I'm busy keeping up with the kids. They are always going. I will need a holiday from my holiday at this rate.
9/10 DNW
Hiked to the beach, then along to an interesting rock called Camel Rock. All up, it took about 90 minutes, but with the kids, there was a lot of stopping and starting. I have blisters now though.
10/10 DNW
Last day of my holidays. When the cabins booked were at opposite ends of the park (and a hill) getting plenty of steps in has been default.
11/10 DNW
Spent a good portion of the day in the car, and then had a long nap. Didn't meet my step goal today.
12/10 125.0kg
Higher, likely because of my travelling and eating out. I know I was still careful with choices, but I did have more carbs and more salt than when at home. It should settle out now that I am back in routine.
13/10 124.2kg
Getting back into the swing of things. Didn't meet my goal for the round, but it was pretty close, and I am happy with what I did, especially with the travelling.

I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.
Round 128
Month/Day: Weight / Comment
10/04: 209.2 / DW made a delicious pizza last night using home made pesto. The crust was premade from Walmart. It was one of those impossible to track recipes that my DW is famous for. 😊 Anyway, one-plus pound later, here I am.
Welcome to all the newcomers.
10/05: 210.2
10/06: 209.0 / All I can honestly think about is my upcoming fishing get-away. And then @Lilylady3k posts about her 26” redfish! I am useless at work this week. We are hunting Crappie. It is a panfish. A keeper is 9”, but we hope to run across a 16” or two, just for fun.
10/07: 208.4 / I may be reporting my Non Scale victories or shame in the next four days, or maybe not. I will be very busy. 😊 I will be burning calories for sure, but also eating a few. Hope all goes well for you all.

Hello all!
57 years old, 5' 9" Starting weight: 275.6 lbs (20200101). First Goal: 190 - where I was when I quit smoking 4 years ago. Second Goal: 170 lbs. To see how hard it is to maintain. I plan to up my daily calories as I go from 190 to 170 to help transition to maintenance.
Starting Weight 192.4 lbs (started late 10/08) I'm hoping to wake up on Oct 13 at 192 even.
Day/Weight/Comment:
10/08 - 192.4 - 1530 calories.
Fingers crossed! Today's long-planned pizza dinner is the first splurge day since the end of August ... the pizza was great. Walked 17 km - didn't intend to walk that much, but I hope it helps balance the pizza eating! Woke up in the middle of the night fretting about new ultrasound results of a shoulder injury-but some cheese and crackers and a tea with whiskey helped me get back to sleep pretty quickly. And no, I didn't log that 3 in the morning snack - I'm only admitting to it here.
10/09 - 192.6 - 1215 calories.
Pleasantly surprised at this tiny weight increase! Today was pretty good on the food front - evening plans were cancelled so I managed to stay under my new goal of 1300 calories (just couldn't maintain 1200 / day anymore). Walked just over 10 km. Hope that tomorrow morning the scale is kind to me.
10/10 - 192.2 - 1317 calories.
Smiled in the morning. Walked 9.7 km. Good all-round day on the food/exercise front!
10/11 - 191.8 - 1275 calories.
Smiled even more this morning! Maybe I can achieve this modest goal. Walked 15.1 km today and kept just under my calorie goal. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning's news from the scale. Being so close to my major goal makes it hard to "eat" Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (I'm in Canada) and indulge in my daughter-in-law's birthday cake. But alas, in the big scheme of things, a pound or two of water weight really doesn't mean anything.
10/12 - 191.6 - guessing about 3000 calories (including 2 types of birthday cake).
Started to day in a good spot - but Thanksgiving and my daughter in law's birthday celebration are going to wreak havoc!!! :-) But - today, for the first time in a very long time - I weight less than either of my adult sons. That was fun. They are both slim, much taller than me, men in the 30s. I was excited to get on the scale after them. They tend to weight themselves at my house, because neither has a scale. After dinner I weighed 198 lbs. they both weight in around just over 205. I'll try to hold onto that accomplishment!
10/13 - 195.4 - hah! Nowhere near my dream of 192. But that is okay. Thanksgiving is behind me now and so is one family birthday. Maybe 1 pound of this is real weight - the rest is water and it will be gone soon enough. I'm holding onto the idea that this experience will perk up my metabolism. Thank you for the experience everyone.
