Peeing myself watching those Marshall workout videos. I literally could not stop clicking on them all. Needed a good HoHoHo laugh, thank you @dawnbgethealthy and @globalhiker.
@Lilylady3k thinking of you and your brother and family during his medical crisis. Btw your menu sounds delightful.
@mainelylisa that is a beauty of a glass with those holiday garnishes. Cheers back to you and all as well.
Here is to many memories remembered through our holidays gang. No drama and peaceful gatherings.

New home for the thread, but the same goals for me, 16-20 AF days per month.
Wednesday December 16 - AF
Thursday December 17 - AF - Felt like drinks, but wanted to get my 2AF in a row.
Friday December 18 - AF - Planned drinks tomorrow.
Saturday December 19 - Drinks
Sunday December 20 - AF - Planning AF tomorrow too.
Monday December 21 - AF - Shortest daylight of the year. We got a dump of snow, but it was warm this afternoon so it turned into sleet making piles of wet slush. The skating lakes will be a mess, but hopefully as it cools down again there will be enough of a base for X-Country skiing this week.
Tuesday December 22 - AF - Very long work day, I didn't get home until 9:30pm so was too tired to even have drinks. Anyway, saving up my calories and probably alcohol drinks until Christmas Eve
Wednesday December 23 - Drinks. I didn't make it until Christmas Eve. I did the 6 minute thing twice, but kind of half-halfheartedly. I am sure that I will get some more AF days in before the end of the month. Not putting pressure on myself over the next few days.
Thursday December 24 - AF - Cross Country skiied today for the first time in 2 years (I had a broken ski last year and got new to me skis once the season was over last year). I decided not to have drinks because I want to feel 100% tomorrow for Christmas Day skating and then Christmas dinner and drinks

Yes, Fitness Marshall is so fun. I haven't missed a day of at least a few songs of it since I discovered it. There is a marked difference in the rib cage area of my body from doing it for over a year now. I wouldn't skate, garden, shovel, or many other things without doing at least a few of the songs first to stretch out my body. Nice oxygen to the brain and a good giggle.
The PussyCat Dolls one...Alison was much heavier then. She had a show called "My Big Fat Fabulous Life". Unfortunately through doing all of those dances she is way too small now to be doing a TV show like that. She is a good dancer.4 -
Merry Christmas everyone.4

Such a beautiful cocktail (and photo) @mainelylisa
What is in that drink?3 -

Applewood smoked holiday ribs are ready....!
OMG!!!!!!! My absolute fave food. I limit myself to once per month now (used to be once per week), but I am sure nowhere as good as those that you have made!! I totally want some.
Like...do you have a smoker??
Argh so amazing looking, I almost think that I can smell them just by looking at the photo! My mouth is watering.2 -
@dawnbgethealthy - Boudin is a cajun sausage stuffed with pork, rice, onions and seasoning.
@globalhiker - Applewood ... I love spoked anything with that wood. Your ribs look yummy.
@mainelylisa - love the flowers and the scenery outside ... drink looks delicious too.
@MissMay - Your friends had your back yesterday!
Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers for my brother.
2 glasses over 5 hrs along with water, ice tea and coffee

Merry Christmas, Y'all!
@dawnbgethealthy The mocktail was half Ginger Kombucha, 1/4 Pom juice and 1/4 seltzer. I named it KOMBOM!
Made this virgin Maine eggnog this morning. Called it (say it to yourself with a French accent) MaineNog. Guess what it's called if you drink 3 of them? Yep, a Maineggetois! (Why Maine? Because I added my secret ingredient I put in so many things--Maine maple syrup.)

@mainelylisa your eggnog with maple syrup has me drooling. The freshly grated nutmeg is a beautiful garnish. I tried reaching into the picture to sliver off a piece of those cheeses. Such a weakness of mine, fine cheese.
My turkey to Christmas AF streak was to end Wednesday night at 12AM and it did, moderately. Last evening I made a drink I have not had in probably over a year. Sweet iced tea with Jim Beam honey. In the past I would have slurped it down in 2.3 seconds. I sipped it slow while watching a holiday show in the glow of the tree light. One and done.
Today around 1:30PM I broke into the special glass cabinet and hauled out a snowflake champagne glass. Headed to the frig and took out a one serving of a 3 pack of single serving prosecco. First time husband ever had it sink in that I don't want an entire 750ml bottle in the frig. Because I know if it is open, I will drink the entire bottle without blinking.
Happy to report the single serve prosecco was delightfully enjoyed another one and done. Then I filled the same glass with fizzy mango flavored sparkling water with an orange garnish.
Low key Christmas all the way around. I so used to hate the past ones dripping in family drama.
Wishing all good things for everyone.

2 glasses of wine at my sister's this evening. Less than 2 bottles for 4 people ... a new record at her home.

Friday December 25 - 2 drinks before dinner and then water during and after. Fabulous Christmas Day, went up to Kimberley for a skate at the arena, then had a little visit with my guitar player who lives up there, and then back to Cranbrook to my friend's place for Christmas dinner that she cooked.

Coming up next month marks my 4th January start on "Less Alcohol - One Day At A Time" thread.
Like changing your eating habits and commiting to a daily form of some type of exercise, incorporating less alcohol into your regime can give you more of a balanced life.
And as we have always enforced, the amount you choose to cut back on is your own choice. We are not here to judge or monitor your consumption. We do not encourage complete abstainace from alcohol.
Every New Year brings people together for what is known as a dry January. A time to recheck, adjust and take a break from the holiday drinking scene of the past several months.
AGAIN, we welcome anyone to follow, join in to support and motivate each other for a well rounded healthy life style. You can wait until January 1st 2021 or you may start now. Some have already begun early to include December weeks.

@dawnbgethealthy - I used both boudin and andouille (another cajun sausage that is spicy pronounced ăn-doo͞′ē ... Savoie's is my favorite brand) in the quiche. Very good! You could substitute italian sausage but it won't have that cajun taste. Check out https://www.cajungrocer.com

@dawnbgethealthy boudin is so scrumptious. There was a Cajun chef on one of the private yachts were my husband works this past Summer. They had to leave port early without the owners on board and the chef unloaded all her cajun creations for the dock hands to take home. Boudin was among the many tasty dishes she had prepared. Hope they come to stay at the marina again next year.
Skating on Christmas what a wonderful holiday activity.❄4
