That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen.

Girl in traffic flipped me the bird while I was sitting next to her at a light (apparently she didn’t enjoy me pushing her down the road while I was behind her slow asss).
I laughed and shook my head no, said “no thanks” so she could read my lips.
She refused to look at me after that.

Had a (former) p/t gig that owed me 6 weeks of pay, and were ignoring invoices. Finally stepped out of my comfort zone and "confronted" them over text (very nicely, but was something I've been ringing my hands over since they've completely ignored everything formally sent).
They responded kindly - and then paid me last night! It's a HUGE relief for me to have those funds right now.6
