I had the most amazing weekend. Went leaf peepin' with my best friend. Took a ferry to a town where all they had was cornfields...or so we thought. We didn't drive far enough cause apparently there was a *kitten*-ton of bars 😂 then we walked in on a wedding looking for food at this lodge. We got walked to the back of the lodge to get to the restaurant which looked more like a retirement home cafeteria so we left lol Oh and I also saw my favorite person and got to spend some time with them so all of that has me smiling this Monday morning ☺️2

It's Monday and I have a job. I never complain about Mondays for that reason.

My son got a fitness assessment at our gym, was told he was in excellent health with 12% BF, but needed to gain weight for his height, so should eat more. The looks his sisters gave him when he said he, sigh, HAD to eat more, was priceless.3

My new neighbour today asked if she can come over tomorrow to learn how to make bread. I have a new friend yay1

My senior dog, a faintly husky cross rescue female, is now mostly deaf and has a bit of dementia. She loves to play fetch but sometimes if she looks away at the last minute she completely loses track of where the ball went.
The younger dog is a corgi male and he's a very serious little guy. He wants to herd stuff, not play. Throw a ball for him and he stands there and looks at you like "what did you do that for?".
When I play fetch with her we're all out in the yard together and he just watches, usually sitting at my feet. Until she loses the ball. When he sees that she can't figure out where it landed, he'll go and retrieve it and, instead of bringing it to me, he'll give it to her.

Been waking up with lower back pain and/or stiffness for about a week, figured it was just a by-product of getting older while still hitting the weight room hard, until last night I decided to check the pressure on my air mattress. Turns out it was low, which causes spinal misalignment during the night. Reset the pressure to my preferred setting, and sure enough, woke up this morning with ZERO pain and ZERO stiffness. Felt twenty years younger!4
