    Because no. No it isn’t.

    Furthermore, soap tastes like cilantro.

Imma start eating soap then because cilantro is delicioso! 👌🏻

    You're on team Cilantro?!
...oh, our Alien overlords must be watching us in glee right now!

I can 'tolerate' small amounts (but find it quite yucky and wish it wasn't there) I don't get the "soap" reference many say they taste - I just don't like it. Hate that its sometimes mixed into parsley - looks quite similar - but gives me a jolt, b/c I love parsley, hate cilantro.

Weird its a super divided thing - and of course, by that, is super interesting to me!

So, basically you have 'the right' tastes, and I'm forked up

I'm funny tho -things I don't like I like to keeping trying (just to make sure)
... is that like food masochism?

Also on team "cilantro doesn't taste like soap".

I put cilantro on anything that makes sense for it to be there. When I found out about the soap thing I was all 🤭 those poor souls.

I think food masochism falls under excessively spicy things, drinking booze straight up, bitter things and people who like black licorice.

I like two of those things; so I guess I'm a food masochist.

    I also love bitter things.

I actually kind of want to try cilantro now. Hope it doesn't taste like soap!

And today's irk is seeing an older post of mine quoted and noticing a typo that's too late to fix.

Put it on things that don’t make that much sense too! It’s good. I like it on a pineapple/blueberry mix.🤤

I will say….sometimes you run into some bad cilantro. And I will wish I hadn’t of used it. Sometimes I wonder if the “tastes like soap” camp maybe had a bad experience and got scared off.

OK, so I'd been craving hush puppies for a long time because I was remembering the one time I had them and how good they were so finally went into this little place called Fishbone near my apt to satisfy that craving. Had one when I got home and it...didn't taste as good as I'd remembered.

As an aside, a girl came in and ordered fried fish with a double side of fries and I was like..I wish I were you. :)
Now I'm more, "Good thing you're young cuz that's a heart attack waiting to happen".

(And I like red vines AND twizzlers. :))

Black licorice is the very very best.
The salted black licorice coins? An absolute favorite.

Scammers. Today I'm irked by scammers who pretend to be my boss and ask me to buy gift cards for clients and send him the authorization codes.

Can't fool me that easy - my boss would not be emailing me at 6:30 a.m.

I am selling a Halloween costume on OfferUp for $10. As soon as I posted it, I got a message. This scammer was saying that he'd send me a code to make sure I wasn't a scammer!!! I just said goodbye to him. I'm not saavy on the scamming game. But it sounded fishy, like if I clicked on his code, I'd be in a whole new world of trouble. It's a $10 costume. Meet me some place convenient with the cash and I'll hand you the costume. It's that simple. These people have no conscience.

Inconsistent bus times for the new school year.

This is our son's first year riding the bus because we live in an area where driving to his school every day isn't feasible, but between being handed the bus route times last minute (I mean yesterday.. when school started today), the bus drivers being late, the bus routes on the windows not matching the assigned routes on their bus passes and several buses just skipping stops all together forcing parents to take their kids to school via car anyway, this is a *kitten*.

For a place that has done this route for these schools for years at a time, this is just beyond absurd. How could it be so inconsistent and ill-handled? For *kitten*'s sake, one of the buses didn't show up because the driver just decided not to show and gave no warning, leaving an entire school bus full of kids scrambling to find rides on their first day!

I expect late buses (D.C. is busy and traffic happens), but not 30 minutes late, not skipping entire bus stops people were assigned to and not knowing who is on your bus, despite having a roster and every kid being assigned a bus pass.

    This morning was a nightmare.

I’ve been promised that my wooden fence panel that got KO’d by a tree going down last October would get fixed.
I know he’s busy but,,,, it’s almost October again and still it isn’t done.
It really irks me that I can’t physically do all the work myself.
