Notes : I am over the moon today. I finally had a whoosh. I’ve been waiting for it to happen and was beginning to worry with all the gains I’ve been having over the past 2 weeks. I went from 212.4 yesterday to 208.8 this morning. Fingers crossed it’s all downhill from here 🤞🏻3 -

I completely get not being too restrictive. If I am too strict with my diet, I fall off of it. Eating enough protein seems to help with my appetite so I do try get in a decent amount of protein.

@mari_moulin I am averaging about 90 grams a day. I am trying to gain muscle mass and lose fat. I am scared if I don’t eat enough protein, I won’t see gains the way I want to.
A guy at the gym said he is doing something like 210 grams a day. 😳1 -

Wowza! How does he get it all in!? When I spoke to my trainer about weight lifting/ bodybuilding he said the diet is very hard. He gave me a brief description and it does in fact sounds like a lot to eat and not very tasty.

I am eating a 1/2 of a large chicken breast and a few odds and ends like cottage cheese, peanut butter, etc. 90grams of protein adds up easily. I definitely have a modified body building diet; I still want some enjoyment!
A big steak and a couple chicken breasts is probably close to 210

For the month of August, I plan to work out at least 5 hours a week and maintain a 7000 calorie deficit per week. Really hoping all my efforts result in a big change this month.

8/9 151.5 (Not sure why the scale is going up. I am eating less than 1300 calories and exercising. I didn’t eat more salt than usual. I am sore from lifting so that could be it.)
8/10 151.25 (I have been crushing my workouts and my diet has been on point… I have been weighing every smidge of food).
8/11 149.5 (4 pounds down!!! 🌷)
8/12 149.5 (Pretty dang happy the scale didn’t bounce back into the 150s this morning)

8/14 149.5 (I was crushing ab day and stayed at the gym a bit later than expected. I left the gym a hungry beast. I didn’t realize store bought Alfredo sauce was so carb heavy. Homemade Alfredo sauce isn’t carb heavy like that. I didn’t realize it until I was eating and counting calories. Let’s see what tomorrow’s weigh in reveals).

Hey. I got so busy with taking a shower, getting dressed and drinking water (oops), that I didn’t remember that I needed to weigh-in until just now! With drinking the water, the weight won’t be accurate. I’ll try, again, next Saturday.2

@ha110w33nsp00k every 16 oz of water you drank is a pound. If you wanted, you could subtract the water weight.4

Last month's challenge helped me to stay focused to loose 5+. Hoping to do more of the same in August.

June 10th Goal...175 (my 62nd birthday)

Aug. 8th - 191.0 (setting up my classroom and devoted exercise time went away. Need to find a balance)
Aug. 15th -190.6 (hard to drink the water I need while teaching....not enough potty breaks in the day!Guess I need to start downing the water after 2:30 once the kids leave)

I’m the same Cassandra except for me it’s salty snacks. If there is a bag of chips open I am most definitely gonna go for it and very possibly finish the entire bag. I’m also working on controlling these cravings and if they do happen i try to be reasonable. It’s certainly a struggle.2 -
