    Hi Linda, We had another hazy, hot, and humid day out there. The Wild fire smoke is making it worse, theres a dark haze just hanging over the lake. Went for a long walk early in the morning a got a bit lost. I had just turned a wrong corner and came out further down the street then I wanted to, but it was shady and I had plenty of water with me. For dinner tonight I would love some lasagna with garlic bread, a salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cone large with an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace where the breeze makes it feel nice and cool. Aaaah, the breeze from the mountain does cool it down out here.

    Zzyyggy, I finally warmed up after spending the afternoon at Miss Nora’s salon. I didn’t get too cold because I wore a long sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt. I had a short sleeve shirt to wear afterwards or I would have melted. I figured I’d stop in and have a scoop or two of Truly Chocolate ice cream. Harris Teeter has discontinued is all natural ice cream line, so there will be no more Truly Chocolate ice cream in the real world.

    Hi Linda, I think I'm melting. I started dinner early and it's going to be dinner and then bed. I went swimming this morning and then had brunch with my sisters midmorning. For dinner tonight Francois I would love a bucket of that KFC with mashed potatoes, gravy, and biscuits. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the patio catching the cool tropical air.

    Hi Zzyyggy. Is 1:30 am too early for breakfast or too late for midnight snack? I would love a cup of coffee. A bowl of berries and yogurt sounds great, too. I hate not being able to eat yogurt and berries. At least I can have them at the cybercafe any time of day I want.

    Sounds like you’ve had your share of hot weather. It looks like you might get a bit of a break from the heat for a bit. We haven’t had smoke here. I saw where you said you got a little lost. That’s a horrible feeling, isn’t it? When I get lost I invariably have a panic attack. I still have nightmares of being lost in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and going around the rotunda again and again. I couldn’t find my way out.

    Hi Linda, I too got lost in the Natural History museum, and seperated from the group I was with. After about an hour a tour guide found me, and brought me back to my group. I think I was either 12 or 13 at the time and we were there for a school project. All the exhibits were so fascinating. For dinner tonight I would like a big basket of fried scallops with french fries, and an icey cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I've been lost several times but managed to find my way back. But it is a scary feeling. My dad would get lost on the back roads, and come out a few miles from where we started.

    Hi Zzyyggy. I came in for coffee. Mm, coffee with cream and sugar and a piece of Chef’s stone fruit tart.😋

    I like going on trips with my oldest sister. She never gets lost. I’ve gotten her lost and she shrugs, points ahead, and, says: “it’s okay, we need to make the next left and a right.” Maybe I should call her when I get lost. The fact that she lives over 680 miles away and has never been here probably won’t matter. Yes, we can use GPS, except GPS and I seldom agree with each other on the route.

    Hi Linda, we had another perfect Summer day out there, but now it's getting hazy. I had a mammogram this morning up at the hospital, and after I got home went for a walk. Now I'm just pooped. For dinner tonight I would love a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and a coca cola. for dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight.

    Hi Zzyyggy. It’s lovely out here on the terrace this evening. At home the evenings don’t cool off much. At midnight tonight the temperature is supposed to be 80 degrees. Here at the cybercafe there’s a beautiful breeze and at 7:00 pm it’s already 76 degrees.

    I ordered an iced mocha, too. Did you see Betty’s email the other day with the angel food cupcakes? That looked appealing. They could be served with icing or whipped cream and fresh fruit or ice cream. I was trying to incorporate M&M into that, I’m just not sure how. I could order M&M cookies instead. Oh, I think I’ll order M&M cookie ice cream sandwiches—one with coffee ice cream and one with chocolate chip mint ice cream. Difficult decision there.

    Hi Linda, we had rain this morning, and foggy. Now it's a perfect Summer's day out there. No humidity and temp is 77 degrees. Watched old episodes of M.A.S.H. and Harry Potter movies all day while reading on the computer. Sat outside for a bit after the rain stopped. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday roast pork with mashed potatoes, gravy, string beans, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of those Betty's cupcakes. Those did look good. I'll have mine with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again.

    Hi Zzyyggy. We almost had rain about half an hour ago. There was a huge thunderstorm to the west of us that dipped just south of us. It rained in town and then the storm disappeared. It’s 7:30 pm and it’s 89 degrees at the moment, cooler than this afternoon’s 97 degrees. Sweetie decided to make a roast beef and scalloped potatoes for dinner. A bit heavy for hot weather, but it was really good. I made fresh fruit macerated in balsamic vinegar and served with a dollop of sour cream topped with chocolate curls. I’ll have to wait to see if the sour cream makes me sick or not. I’ll join you on the terrace for an iced coffee.

    Hi Linda, it started out raining this morning, but cleared right up. I just got back from being at the museum this afternoon. It was a perfect day for it. Not too hot, or humid, or rainy. Loved it. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a roast beef grinder with the works, cheese, and bacon. A bag of chips and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have the large m&m chocolate chip cookie and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the patio tonight.

    Hi Zzyyggy. Oh, a roast beef grinder and M&M’s cookies? Yes, please! No bacon for me. I saw your weather forecast today. I’m so jealous. It would be wonderful to have a day with a high of 73 degrees, the dew point at 52 degrees, and humidity below 50%. I wouldn’t mind a day like that every other week or so. I’ll have to order some weather like that. 🤔

    Hi Linda, we had another perfect summer day here today. Didn't do too much though. Got home from swimming, and did an online order some housework while waiting for my groceries. Then put them away and went to bed. I must have needed sleep because I just barely woke up. Oh well. For dinner tonight I would love the meatloaf special with mashed potatoes, gravy, and beans, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight, and watch the sunset. One of the nice things about the cyber cafe? No bugs to nip you, and feel that breeze.

    Hi Zzyyggy. Well, the temperature didn’t go up into the 90’s today. In fact, it stayed in the 70’s until afternoon. The high was 89 degrees, but not for long. There were passing rain storms that brought the temperature down. We got less than a tenth of an inch of rain today, but Sweetie got caught in a downpour. He went out to the Costco and as he was leaving the store and heading out to put the groceries in the car it rained so hard he was soaked to the skin. All the groceries were wet, and the car trunk and the interior of the car were wet, too. What a messed. When he got home I threw his clothes in the washer and did his laundry.

    Mm, I love meatloaf sandwiches with Chef Francois’ sandwich bread. I ordered that with homemade bread and butter pickles after I saw your order. Our grandson is coming over on Thursday and Sweetie was debating whether to make an apple pie. This summer my diet has gone completely off the rails so I’ll have to say no to the pie, but I can always order apple pie here at the cybercafe.

    Hi Linda, we had another perfect summer day here in the real world. Got out and did some reading in the garden after getting some housework done. For dinner tonight I would love a big plate of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies warm from the oven, and an iced mocha. It's suppose to get really hot tomorrow. The humidity is coming back. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and enjoy the cool breeze coming off the mountain. Igor asked if he could do Halloween on July 31. I said why not so that's why we've got pumpkins, witches and ghosts appearing around the cafe. The pool is going orange and black, and watch out for the witches in the corner. I think they are only statues. On Thursday the 31 we'll have a bonfire, fireworks, and s'mores plus little trick and treat candy bags. The corn stalks and hay bills are nice as well.

    Hi Zzyyggy. We had a really nice day. The high was 90 degrees but the dew point and humidity were lower making it much more comfortable. Saturday through Wednesday our highs are forecast to be 100—102 degrees. 🥵 Igor must have seen the Costco email flyer today. They had a ceramic Disney haunted house and a pirate ship for sale. Halloween is getting bigger every year. The stores are advertising Halloween and back to school sales now because year round schools are starting the Fall semester next week and some colleges are starting in August. In fact, one of my neighbor’s sons has already started college—they have a special program for freshmen.

    Yum, Chef made cheesy garlic bread. It’s perfect for the meatball sandwich I ordered. Delicious. Mm, chocolate chip cookies and coffee for dessert. After all the hot weather we’ve had lately, I’m ready for summer to be done, but we’ve got two and a half more months of hot weather, plus hurricane season is will be going into high gear soon. When Sweetie was in Scotland he asked when summer weather started. He was told that summer was one day in the middle of July. I might have to move there.

    Hi Linda, I saw the Walmart advertisements the other day for everything dorm room. I wouldn't mind goin back to school for just that. We had a really hazy, hot, and humid day today. Temp in the 90s and humidity at 80%. I didn't do much of anything but read and sleep all day. For dinner tonight I would love a quarter pounder with cheese, and bacon, fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace with the comfortable breeze from the ocean.

    Hi Zzyyggy. It’s a good time to buy office supplies, too. You had the same weather we had today, although the humidity was lower here. It’s lovely out on the terrace here at the cybercafe this evening. In fact, the breeze coming off the ocean is a much cooler than my weather. I went ahead and ordered an iced mocha and chocolate chip cookies, too.

    Hi Linda, it was a weird day today weather wise. One minute we had torrential down pours with lightning and thunder and wind. The next it was clear, sunshiny, and hazy, and then the skies darkened up again, and it was humid. I love my air conditioner. For dinner tonight I would love some bacon wrapped scallops. I'm having a crazy urge for bacon lately. Onion rings, coleslaw and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight again and enjoy a non humid environment. Tomorrow is suppose to be non humid here. We'll see. Our resident zombie Igor is creating some excellent scarecrows for his Halloween in July. Now he wants to do Halloween on all the months with 31 days that don't already have a holiday to decorate. He's figured that out to be October, the original month, January, yes he knows that it's the 1st day of the year and right after Christmas, but he figures theres a whole month between the 1st and 31st, March after St. Patrick's day, May, and July. What the heck why not.

    Hi Zzyyggy. It’s still hot here in Charlotte. I ordered the Salmon Milano with basil butter for dinner, just like the Salmon Milano at Costco. That’s what I’m craving. I’ll have to put that on the shopping list. Chef Francois served it with fresh green beans and sliced tomatoes from the cybercafe’s garden. Miss Nora tells me that she’s addicted to Fat Boy ice sandwiches and I MUST try some. Fortunately, Viktor has some in the ice cream freezer right here on the terrace in the gazebo’s kitchen. Ice cream sandwiches for dessert would be wonderful in the real world, too.

    I’ll have to ask Igor if he could possibly wait until January 7, Sweetie celebrates Christmas all the way through Three Kings Day or Epiphany. He always keeps all the Christmas decorations up until then. He has been known to start decorating for Christmas on the day after Halloween. Of course, Sweetie also listens to Christmas music starting in the middle of September.

    Hi Linda, I think Igor was planning on starting the decorations for January 31 mid month so it will be after the 7th. I love Christmas decorations, and lights just because they brighten up the season when it's so dark out there. For dinner tonight I would love a grilled porter house steak with baked potato and corn on the cob with lots of butter. For dessert I'll have a slice of Boston Cream pie and an iced mocha. We had a nice day today but the air quality was the pits. We're getting wild fire smoke from Canada, and there is all kinds of air quality alerts. I went for a short walk, and did some ready outside for a bit, but mostly stayed inside and read.

    Hi Zzyyggy. Well, our air quality is really good and the humidity is much lower today. It’s around 6:00 pm and it’s 97 degrees. Sweetie claims that it feels like it’s only 90 degrees. 🤔

    I ordered sesame chicken with broccoli and sticky rice for dinner. It comes with a pot of tea. It will be out shortly, but I have to finish my egg first. I ordered almond cookies and fortune cookies for dessert. We’ll have to sit out on the ocean side terrace to catch the breeze. That will keep the smoky air away.

    Hi Linda, we had downpours this morning, humidity, and now sunshine. No smoke though thank goodness. I got in a walk this afternoon, and may go for another later this evening. Theres a concert in the park at 7:00 I might try to get to. It's cooler out there right now. For dinner tonight I would love some barbecued chicken with potato salad, coleslaw, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'm going to sit down by the pool tonight and enjoy a swim before dinner.

    Hi Zzyyggy. It was hot today—100 degrees. Sweetie said it was terribly humid. The only time I went outside was right before sunset. We had a rain storm come through and the temperature dropped into the mid 70’s. I opened the garage door, hoping to cool off the garage a bit. We had roasted herbed chicken and salad for dinner. 😋 I think I’ll order the apple crisp and vanilla ice cream for dessert, too. It sounds delicious. There’s a nice breeze on the terrace this evening and it will be nice to spend some time out there.

    Hi Linda, it was another hazy, hot and humid day out there. Temps were in the 90s again. I canceled my swim this morning, and trip to the museum this afternoon. I may go for a walk this evening when it cools down a bit. For dinner tonight Francois has fired up the outdoor pizza ovens, and it smells so good. I'll have one with the works, chicken wings and a salad with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a chocolate chip cookie pizza, it's a large round cookie cooked in a cast iron dish with an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace today with the cool breeze coming off the mountains.

    Mm, pizza, cookies—Zzyyggy, that all sounds wonderful. Plus, the weather at the cybercafe is the best summer weather ever. It looks like we’ll both get a break in the hot weather for a couple of days before the temperatures shoot back up in the mid 80’s for you and the low 90’s for me. I’m done with summer and I’m ready for fall.

    Hi Linda, my brother who lives in Tampa, Florida was already wishing for Winter. I'm only wishing for fall, and cooler temps. It was another hazy, hot and humid day today but I got out for a swim and a walk this morning before the real heat hit. For dinner tonight I would love the meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes, peas, dinner rolls and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight. I'm so tired right now I may fall flat in my mashed potatoes. Don't forget that Thursday night is Halloween in July. Igor will have everything decorated by then. Viktor is planning on those little bags of candies, and Francois is planning on another outdoor barbecue with a bonfire in the late evening.

    I don’t know that a mashed potato facial would be that beneficial, Zzyyggy. Please stay awake long enough to make it through dinner! (I hope you did, since you’ll be seeing my post tomorrow.) I think the hot and humid weather does make you more tired. I’m looking forward to Saturday, which is supposed to be much cooler. Just a little while longer and then there’ll be a break.

    I’m ready for dessert. I love Chef Francois. He knows how much I love iced brownies. Tonight my brownies have vanilla icing and Viktor topped them with M&Ms. YES! 😊 Mm, this iced mocha tastes delicious tonight.

    Hi Linda, I feel crappy this evening. The humidity has finally gotten to me. I'm going to have a big bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I'm not sure how healthy that is but it'll cool me down. I was outside a couple of times today but it was very uncomfortable. I'll eat by the pool after a nice refreshing dip. Maybe that will perk me up, or the iced mocha might.

    Hi Zzyyggy. We had a super humid day and then it rained. It was so humid after it rained the air was saturated. It felt like it was misting. We went out after the rain and you could see the mist rising off the fields and lawns. It will be more of the same tomorrow. I have to go get new glasses. Hopefully, I can find something I like.

    I’m going to order Dairy Queen Blizzard for dessert tonight. I like the Heath Bar Blizzard swirled with caramel and chocolate sauce. 😋
