So this is a Cyber Cafe What'll be?

Hi Linda, Hmmm that squirrel must be needing some iron in his diet, but that can't be good for the digestive system, or the teeth. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the roast beef grinder with the works, a bag of chips, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a couple of large chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I think I'll go for a swim first in the cyber pool. It's hotter then you know where around here. It's 88 degrees. I think I'll hang out in the cyber pool for a bit to cool down.

Zzyyggy, the squirrel seems to like aluminum, vinyl and plastic on my house. Plus, he climbs right up the brick to roof to hang out. I’ve been hoping a hawk with catch him, but that hasn’t happened yet. We’ll be seeing how the squirrels and everyone else, too, likes the hot weather coming in the next week or so. The forecast looks hellaciously hot 🥵. We’ll be spending the days in the cyberpool. There’s a nice cup holder and tray table on our pool loungers and, as long as the ice cold teas and mochas keep coming, I’m good. We could also spend some time at the cybercafe’s indoor pool or the library or man cave or in the Club Room, too.

I just finished up my fruit and freggies plate and it’s time for a nap. Francois promised me a shrimp boil with cheese grits, fresh sliced tomatoes, and greens and beans on the side for dinner today. He’ll be making biscuits, too. I like the jalapeño cheddar biscuits. Fruit cobbler and homemade ice cream for Sunset Dessert sounds good.

Hi Linda, I'll be joining you in the cyber pool. It's going to be hot and humid the next few days for us as well. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the macaroni and cheese with lots of garlic bread, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and an iced mocha. We missed national ice cream day yestarday. Who decides these things.

Hellooooo, mm, noone here yet, must be a slow day. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the bucket of fried chicken from you know where with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on the cob. Plenty of butter and those yummy biscuits with all that. I'll even share my bucket with who ever comes in. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced moch. First though I think I'll go for a dip in the pool.

Mm, fried chicken. Good choice, Zzyyggy. And biscuits! Pass those biscuits this way, please. There’s sliced tomatoes with Duke’s mayonnaise, too. It’s awful that we missed National Ice Cream Day, but we can have an ice cream desserts buffet on Friday night—it’s Megan’s (my niece) birthday. It’s nice to celebrate everyone’s birthday, whether you know them or not. My sister, who lives in California, and her best friend, whose birthday is the same day as mine, always get together to celebrate my birthday. Isn’t that nice? They have a party with a cake and everything. 😉🙃

Viktor, I’d like my brownie with vanilla buttercream icing and a scoop of chocolate chip mint ice cream on the side, please.

Hi Linda, yes birthday's are good to celebrate. I like that your sister and friend do that in California. I'm melting today and am going to hang out in the cyber pool for the rest of the evening. It reached 90 degrees around here. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the BLT grinder with no tomatoes, but lots of bacon, lettuce and mayo. A bag of potato chips and an iced cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have some double chocolate klondike bars and an iced mocha. Did I mention I was melting. Into the pool with me.

I was checking the Drought Monitor maps. We’ve had some rain and I was wondering if we’re still considering “abnormally dry” and we are. I saw that your part of Vermont is also “abnormally dry.” We are moving away from drought and we’re in this weather pattern of afternoon and evening rainstorms, plus hurricane season usually bring some rain, too. I hear thunder right now. Another line of severe thunderstorms are moving this way. I’m wondering how long this heat all across the country is going to last.

Sweetie has been cooking. He made spaghetti and salmon in a bechamel sauce that was delicious. Now for Sunset Dessert. A bowl of Truly Chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce would be nice and maybe some Dewey’s Bakery’s Triple Ginger Cookies. 😋

Viktor, I just got Betty’s email and she had all these wonderful appetizers and I decided that Francois should make all of them! An appetizer buffet for dinner tonight, set up on the patio by the cyberpool. Viktor, I’m sure you’ll have everyone’s favorite drinks ready to go. Iced tea for me, please. In the meantime I’ll be in pool cooling off because it’s hot out there.

Hi Linda, those appetizers did look good. That's a great idea for a Thursday night. Also we can have the from scratch cookie bar as well. Francois has been busy in the kitchen today. I think I'll give all of them a raise. I'll have my usual coca cola with dinner, and iced mocha for dessert. Linda I'll join you in the pool. It is hot around here as well although I did find a perfect place to hang out. Down at the Burlington Library they have outdoor tables set up under this huge shade tree. It was perfect this morning after my swim. A cool place to sit with my coffee.

Always good to stay 😎, Zzyyggy! I’m ready for a bedtime snack—a bit early for me, however, I can’t resist iced lemon shortbread served with a cup of tea. I can hear the tree frogs and the crickets. There’s no thunderstorms tonight so the stars will be out. We can sit by the cyberpool or in the pool, for that matter, and enjoy watching the stars.

Hi Linda, Last night was pretty cool just floating around in the Cyber pool looking up at the stars with out drinks. Tonight for dinner I'm going to have the fried scallops with french fries, and an icy cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have some double chocolate klondike bars and an iced mocha. I just spent the afternoon in the library. Temps reached 92 degrees and I needed someplace to be cool. So brought my laptop, drink and spent about 3 hours there. Got a lot of reading and writing done. I'll go back on Sunday when the temps are the same, and on Monday.

Hey, Zzyyggy. I had the fried fish platter with hush puppies and coleslaw. Francois makes the best hush puppies. I’m drinking iced tea and I’ve got my M&M’s, so I’m good. We should watch the Perseid meteor shower tonight. We can just lounge back in our recliners and see the whole sky. (I wish.) Actually, if I were to lay back in my recliner I would be fast asleep in no time.

With temperatures in the mid 90’s tomorrow and the dew point hideously high—anything over 70 degrees is uncomfortable and over 80 degrees is just downright ugly—I think I’ll stay inside with my central air conditioning and my IPad.

Hi Linda, I'm going for a swim in the cyber pool before dinner. I'm melting. Try 90 degrees with the dew point at 64. Even the trees outside look a little limp. I've been drinking iced water and iced tea. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the grilled porter house steak with a baked potato and lots of butter. An icy cold coca cola would be perfect. For dessert I'll have some some double chocolate klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'm staying inside with my laptop as well, but I'll enjoy the crisp temps on the terrace tonight and watch the meteor showers with you.

Zzyyggy, even your trees aren’t used to the heat! You remember last winter when you said temperatures in the 30’s felt balmy and here in the south that would be bitter cold? In fact, when temperatures go below freezing we have severe weather warnings. I suppose any temperatures over 85 would be severe weather for you. By the middle of August, when the temperature is under 89 degrees it can feel pretty comfortable. That is, unless we have hurricane weather.

Pizza for me tonight, Viktor, please. I think I’ll take my iced tea out on the terrace. Star gazing and meteor watching and lemon squares for Sunset Dessert.

Hi Linda, I think I would take 30 degrees about now, but I know what you mean about the temps. Up here we're use to the summers being in the 80s and high 70s. Not the 90s. I'm going for a dip in the cyber pool before dinner to cool me off. For dinner I'm going to have the pizza you had last night with the works, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some double chocolate klondike bars and an iced mocha. Just came back from the library where the AC was nice and cool.

Pizza again sounds good to me. I like the Heath Bar Klondike Bars I wish they had a layer of caramel. Hmm, I could have a caramel Magnum Bar. 😋

Hey Zzyyggy. I can’t believe it’s Monday again. I’m here fore breakfast—a basket of mini pastries, eggs, and coffee with cream and sugar this morning. I’ve started a new plan (what do you call it when you don’t want to use the word diet?). Last year I lost 26 pounds and since December I’ve gained 13. I’m going to have to have a hysterectomy at some point, maybe in the fall and I need to lose weight. I’ll have to have all the sweets I love at the cybercafe now, no more sugar in my coffee. I need to work at eating more vegetables. I miss Chef Meg, but I do have some of her recipes. I love her chicken and lentils soup. I found I love Ina Garten’s lentil recipe, too. It has carrots, onions, and celery in it. I like both these recipes so much, I find myself eating lentils for breakfast.

I think I’ll spend the morning on the terrace here at the cybercafe. I’m sure Viktor will keep my coffee cup full while I read my book.

Hi Linda, Good luck on your plan. Have you tried any of Betty' s veggie recipes? I'm not a big veggie eater either but she does have a good soup and veggie cassarole recipe. My new plan? Stay away from home, either that or keep the goodies out of the house. Tomorrow I'm leaving the house for swimming at 7:30 am and planning on spending the day in the Y and the Library until 4:30 pm. I'm going to try that on Tuesday's and Thursdays. For dinner tonight I think I'll have barbecued chicken with potato salad, and corn on the cob with lots of butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'm craving brownies so I'll have a basket of assorted brownies, and an iced mocha. I think I'll enjoy an evening on the terrace. It cooled down some today 81 degrees, and suppose to get a little cooler over the night time with rain shower. It's still pretty humid today though.

I like your plan for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not having goodies in the house helps. My daughter-in-law is one of those people who do better when they have treats in the house. She says she feels better knowing it’s there. 🙄 Not me. Treats and goodies in the house call to me. Sweetie likes to eat something right before he goes to bed, whether it’s 10 pm or 2 am. If I did that it would keep me awake.

Viktor, I’d like dinner at 6:00 this evening. Filet mignon, please, with a side salad, broccoli cauliflower Parmesan, and mashed sweet potatoes. For Sunset Dessert I’d like cherry pie with a separate bowl of chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce.

Hi Linda, I'll join you for 6:00 dinner. I'm going to have the meatloaf platter though with mashed potatoes, and gravy, and peas. Dinner rolls with that please, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. What a gorgeous perfect day today. temp is 79 degrees, and it's beautiful out there. Dinner on the Terrace?

Wow, I came in today and found my unposted post still here so I just posted it. Another perfect day here in the real world. I love these temps. Clouds are coming in now though. For dinner tonight I'm going to have Lasagna with garlic bread and butter and a salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I haven't had a real mocha in a while. I think I'll hang out on the terrace again and see who shows up.

I was wondering where you were yesterday, Zzyyggy. The meatloaf sounds good. I ordered that and asked Viktor for potato salad and coleslaw. I’ll gladly share my basket of biscuits. I’m going to have Viktor bring some more garlic bread because I’d like a piece of that, too. I’m going to have an iced mocha and dark chocolate covered caramels for Sunset Dessert tonight.

Hi Linda, How were your mini croissants? I found a basket of them as I walked in this evening. I think I'll munch on some before dinner. For dessert I'll have some brownies, chocolate ice cream, and chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. It's been a weird day for summer here. A little chilly at 69 degrees all day cloudy, but no rain. I think I'll hang out on the terrace where it's always perfect weather and have some sweet tea.

Hi Linda, today was a little warmer outside with a lot more sunshine. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the roasted chicken dinenr with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and stuffing, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I snuck in a third swim this week this morning and I'm pooped tonight. I think I'll just sit on the terrace and stare at the stars tonight. For sunset dessert we'll have s'mores.
