Fantastic dinner and dessert tonight at the cybercafe. I liked your choices, Zzyyggy. It’s nice out here on the terrace this evening. I’m heading to bed soon. I ended up taking a late nap today, something I try not to do, I hope I can get to sleep. Wow, Zzyyggy, it’s great that you got an extra swim in. Good for you! We played cards with our grandson today. His first day of high school is tomorrow. I can’t believe he’s so grown up.

Hi Linda, wow a freshman in High School. Don't they grow up fast. One of my nephew's sons is a freshman in College this year. I hope they all have an easier year then the last three for schools. I wouldn't want to be in school these days for nothing. For dinner tonight I'm going for a roast beef grinder with the works, a bag of chips and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a huge chocolate chip cookie and an iced mocha. I'll hang out on the terrace and see how long I stay awake. I'm pooped tonight.

I can’t imagine being in school, Zzyyggy, but my grandson manages just fine. Whenever I’m at his school I’m always amazed at how supportive the kids are of each other.

Sandwiches for dinner, yum. Viktor, I’ll have a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich, please. I’ll join you on the terrace, Zzyyggy. My choice of cookie would be Dewey’s Triple Ginger Cookies served with an iced mocha.

Hi Linda, We got a good soaking rain this morning. It was really coming down. I waited at the Y for a bit before heading to the City Market this morning, and the rain finally let up. I knew it would. For dinner tonight I'll have macaroni and cheese with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. Another evening on the terrace.

Macaroni and cheese sounds wonderful, of course, but I think I’ll have some Cap’n Crunch cereal or Lucky Charms. My mother never bought sweet cereal when I was a kid and I didn’t buy it for my son either, but I had friends that always had tons of junk food at their houses. Since I lived at a lake community growing up most people didn’t have air conditioning and, at that time, there were still summer homes as well. Sweet cereal reigned supreme for breakfast in the summer—just not at my house. Unlike at my house, people didn’t cook breakfast.I remember camping in a friend’s yard and waking up to sweet cereal for breakfast. Tonight I’m going to have some dinner.

Hi Linda, I never had sweet cereal growing up either for breakfast. It was either eggs or oatmeal. My dad was a big oatmeal eater, and his was so creamy. That's still my favorite breakfast for Winter. I will occaisionally now buy a box of Capn Crunch, or other such cereal. There was always the healthy cereals around cheerios, special k, and corn flakes. For dinner tonight I would love some fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob with lots of butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. It's going to be hot around here tomorrow. I think I'll hide out in the cyber cafe pool all day. In the real world I'm going to spend the day in the library. I haven't seen either Navycurls or Reneihj in here for awhile. Could it be vacation time for them?

Viktor, I’ll have some of those brownies Zzyyggy ordered, too. I’d like mine iced with vanilla buttercream, please. Oh, and an iced tea, too.

Zzyyggy, spending the day in the cyberpool is a great way to beat the heat. You’ll probably get rain and cooler weather in a week or so. I wouldn’t mind some cooler weather, that’s for sure.

Hi Linda, so instead of the heat and humidity we were suppose get today we got clouds and rain showers all afternoon long. Fortunately by the time it really started to rain I was already in the library and it stopped when SSTA came to take me home. Tomorrow and Saturday. I'm headed to the library tomorrow, but Saturday I'll be at home, or maybe the whole day in the cyber pool. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a large plate of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I'm pooped tonight, but I may last until sunset dessert.

Hey, Zzyyggy We’re supposed to be getting rain right now, but the storms are sliding by us. Sweetie and I are here for Sunset Dessert.

Viktor, Sweetie says he wants bread pudding with bourbon hard sauce and whipped cream. I’d like a piece of chocolate mousse pie, please. Would you bring a carafe of coffee, too? We can sit on the terrace with our desserts until it’s time to say good night.

I’ve been up since 5:00 am and I decided to have breakfast. I need to go grocery shopping. There’s breakfast foods for Sweetie, but I can’t eat eggs, bacon, or sausage. The leftover greens and beans don’t excite me. We do have one last peach from our son’s trip to the orchards in South Carolina. Oh, they were so delicious. Maybe Francois could make some peach crumble with peaches from the cybercafe’s orchards. And best of all, here at the cybercafe, I can eat eggs and bacon. I’ll add a dollop or two of whipped cream to the crumble and put some of that whipped cream in my coffee. I’m heading out to the lanai on the cybercafe’s oceanside. It’s nice and humid out here, just the way I like it.

Hi Linda, here for dinner. I'm going to have the surf and turf dinner with a baked potato and lots of butter. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some blue berry cobbler with whipped cream and an iced mocha. Had the real thing today. It wasn't that good. I was in downtown Burlington this morning and found out that the Starbuck's store down there was closed down. So I went to the near by coffee shop. Not a good place, and not a good iced mocha, and too pricey. It was $7.25. I can get one at my coffee shop for 5.25. I won't be going back there. I'll have to find another coffee shop down there.

Wow, that is expensive for an iced mocha. Thank heaven for the cybercafe where the iced mochas are free! Viktor, I’d like blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha, please. Zzyyggy, you’re going to have to find a better coffee shop—how disappointing.

Viktor, I’m starving. This is what happens when I eat a late breakfast, I’m ready for dinner in the middle of the afternoon. I’d like pasta primavera with salmon, coleslaw, and green beans, please. I love how Francois sautés the green beans in garlic infused extra virgin olive oil, only cooking the green beans for four minutes. Delicious.

Zzyyggy, did you know that there’s blueberry cobbler ice cream? Bet that would be yummy. Maybe I’ll have that for Sunset Dessert with big dollops of fudge sauce and whipped cream.

Hi Linda, either the cyber cafe or the coffee shop near me. I'm starving as well. I'm going to have a porter house steak with a baked potato with lots of butter and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I didn't know about the peach cobbler ice cream. I did find a recipe for homemade ice cream without a churn. I'm going go give it a try. It's from a taste of Home. It's got 4 ingredients and looks pretty easy.

Blueberry cobbler ice cream from Blue Bell Ice Cream. They also have an oatmeal cream pie flavor like Little Debbie’s. Everyone seems to love Little Debbie snacks. I’m not a fan, I’d rather have chocolate. The no churn ice cream recipes I saw were fairly simple and used sweetened condensed milk. It would be wonderful to make your own ice cream and add fresh fruit or chocolate or nuts.

I’ve been making a nice hot cup of cafe mocha as a treat every so often. I add cinnamon, turmeric, and nutmeg, along with some chocolate syrup and a little bit of half and half to my Pete’s coffee. Yum. I’ll have to ask Viktor to make me a cup here at the cybercafe—it’s a bit late in the day to be drinking coffee in the real world.

Sweetie made unstuffed cabbage and peppers (rice on the side) for Sunday dinner. I’d prefer cornbread or Francois’ crusty artisan bread rather than rice.

It’s delicious. Some homemade cherry chocolate chip ice cream with fudge sauce for dessert would be wonderful.

Hi Linda, wow that looks good. I'm making chicken and Farmer's Market veggie skillet. I went to the farmer's market this morning before it got really hot out and picked up quite a bit of veggies. They've already got corn on the cob out, and I was tempted but stuck to the veggies on my list. No pie this time around either. For dinner tonight at the cyber cafe I'm going to have the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, string beans and a coca cola. For dessert I'm going to have a slice of apple pie since I didn't get any at the Farmer's Market and an iced mocha. I think I'll go for a swim in the cyber pool first though.

Zzyyggy, it’s a nice afternoon to spend at the cyberpool. I’ve chosen one of the tables in the shade, plus we have an umbrella so there won’t be any glare on device screens. Viktor brought a pitcher of iced tea and a cheese and freggies platter with my favorite little cheese crackers—more than enough to share. I’ll read for awhile and then throw myself in the pool before dinner.

It’s barbecue night, with the guys manning the grills. Francois has made all the sides: red and white coleslaws, green beans with brisket, greens and beans, potato salad, baked sweet and white potatoes, hash brown casserole, broccoli casserole, macaroni and cheese, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and fried pickles. And there’s cornbread, chips, Texas toast, hush puppies, and biscuits. You can have your pick of barbecue sauces, I’m having the Alabama sauce on chicken. Yum! I’m pretty certain there’s pie for dessert.

Hi Linda, Barbecue night I love it, and I'm starving. I'm going for the hamburgers and hotdogs with all the sides, and a coca cola. Blueberry pie for dessert with an iced mocha. What a perfect way to spend the afternoon too, by the cyber pool although it was a lot cooler today at 79 degrees with a chilly wind blowing in the real world. I had to wear a sweatshirt this morning outside. I'll join you in the cyber pool.

Cooler weather—in the mid 80’s—by Thursday. Here at the cybercafe it’s a beautiful day. Viktor is making my favorite iced tea with mini scoops of lemon sorbet. I’ve ordered salad and seafood pasta for dinner. I wonder if Francois made any cream pies today. Banana cream pie or coconut cream pie would be good for dessert tonight.

Hi Linda, Banana cream pie sounds good for dessert. I think I smelled some walking in. A lot cooler today. It never got about 70 degrees, and we got some patches of rain. There was a cold wind blowing as well. Had my sweatshirt on most of the day, but it'll be nice for sleeping tonight. For dinner tonight I'm going to have some chicken nuggets and kraft macaroni and cheese with a coca cola. And that banana cream pie and an iced mocha for dessert. I'm pooped tonight from my swimming this morning, but I think I can stay up for sunset dessert.

Zzyyggy, I like your weather. A nice cold, or at least cool, rainy day would be lovely. I wouldn’t mind at all if the temperature dropped 20 to 30 degrees. I’m getting my hair done today. I must remember to take my sweatshirt and prepare to be cold because Miss Nora’s shop is always freezing. We spend hours there. She talks a lot and when she’s talking, she’s not working. I enjoy her company, so I don’t mind, however, Sweetie occasionally gets impatient.

Viktor, I’d like some Starbucks pumpkin spice coffee and a basket of mini pastries, please. Thank you for seating me in the dining room by the french doors. It’s a beautiful morning here at the cybercafe.

Hi Linda, isn't that the case with most hairdressers. They do love to talk alot but they don't really get on your nerves about it. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on the cob. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. I'm in need of a chocolate fix. I think I'll go for a swim in the cyber pool first though.

Zzyyggy! I’m freezing. We went to Miss Nora’s and then stopped for dinner at the local Greek restaurant. I think the restaurant was as cold as Miss Nora’s. The humidity has dropped a bit and the air conditioning doesn’t have to work as hard, I guess. It’s been hours and I can’t get warm. Viktor has a cup of hot coffee for me and Igor made sure my fuzzy bunny slippers and my blue fleece blanket were on my recliner. (Wouldn’t that be wonderful.)

When we were leaving Miss Nora’s, I was so cold. I opened the car door and my glasses fogged up. It was just over 90 degrees outside and, boy, did that feel good.

Hi Linda wow that is cold. It's cooled down around here in the real world some. It's 70 degrees today so it warmed up from yestarday a little. I got chilled this morning after swimming and spending time inside the Y with their AC up high. Came home and took a nice hot bath to warm up. It's a good thing we can heat up the pool to warm us up a bit. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a bacon cheeseburger with lots of french fries and a root beer this time around. For dessert I'll have a big chocolate brownie and an iced mocha. Francois I'm starving right now so make it a heaping pile of fries. I may actually finish them.

Thanks for sharing your fries, Zzyyggy. Dinner at the cybercafe is always delicious. I fell asleep and forgot to post so I figured I’d come in and have a cup of tea and a shortbread cookie or two.

Hi Linda, that's why I'm posting a little early today. I'm pooped from all my walking today and have decided to go to bed early. For dinner tonight I'm going to have some seafood chowder with lots of bread and butter and a coca cola. For dessert I'm going to have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'm also starving tonight.

Zzyyggy! It’s annoying to start falling asleep only to realize I didn’t log in to MFP. At least I got to go to the cybercafe. I wish I could take a nap right now, but it’s almost 6:00 pm. I have start going to bed earlier. I’m in bed by 11:00, then Sweetie gets in bed at 2:00 or 3:00 am and wakes me up and I can’t go back to sleep. Then he sleeps until 9:00 or 10:00 am or he sleeps for four hours, gets up, has breakfast and then goes back to bed for another four or five hours. It’s difficult to get anything done. It’s driving me crazy!

Viktor, I’ll have macaroni and cheese with tomatoes, broccoli, and chicken, please. Iced tea to drink and a piece of icebox lemon pie, too. We’ll be out on the terrace this evening, but we’re all making it an early night tonight!

Zzyyggy, we’re having a gorgeous day, as nice as any at the cybercafe. The humidity is low, the dew point is 52 degrees—absolutely unheard of in the middle of August. I even went to bed earlier last night and got over seven hours of sleep.

Viktor and Jorge are grilling shish-kabob and there’s grilled vegetables, rice, and fresh pita with hummus, baba ganoush, and tzatziki sauce, Plus, there’s watermelon fresh out of the cybercafe’s garden. Francois is working on a fruit and cheese platter for us.

Hi Linda, Dinner sounds really good. I'll have the chicken and steak kabobs with all the garden veggies except tomatoes. Don't like tomatoes even the cyber kind. I'll have the coca cola with that. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha.
