A moonlight stroll—will there be snacks? I can bring some M&M’s! I still have time to finish my grilled cheese sandwich and dessert, coffee and an espresso brownie with cappuccino whipped cream for me. 😋

Hi Linda, don't mind my shivvering. We went back to early spring today in the real world. It was cold. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a huge bowl of beef stew with lots of dinner rolls and butter, a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I think I'll sit outside and thaw out on the warm tropical terrace. Last night's moonlight stroll was fun. Maybe tonight we can do a moonlight swim.

It will have to be a midnight moonlight swim. Then when I’m done with my swim I can dry off and have some apple crisp with ice cream. That sounds delicious. I’ll have sweet dreams tonight!

Hi Linda, I'm in need of some chocolate therapy tonight. I'm going to start with some Lasagna and garlic bread with a coca cola though. For dessert I'll have a brownie covered with chocolate ice cream smothered with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. That should help with the chocolate craving. Did you hear about that hurricane name Mocha? Who names a hurricane Mocha. That gives Mocha a bad name especially with all the damage it dead. Someone clearly does not like mocha.

Good thing we weren’t in Myanmar or Bangladesh on Mother’s Day. Apparently, they name cyclones differently than hurricanes?

Francois made me a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Yum. I’ve been craving brownies. I don’t know why. I’m actually more of a cookie person. Mm, holiday cookies are the best. I’m going to have to find my brownie recipe because brownie mixes aren’t cake like anymore. They overcook on the edges and undercook in the middle. Soggy brownies don’t appeal to me at all. Our ShopRite store in New Jersey had the best brownie mix I’ve ever tasted. Their store brand was great and I got tons of compliments whenever I made them. I like my brownies iced with homemade vanilla icing except in brownie sundaes. A chocolate espresso brownie sundae for dessert would be perfect.

Viktor! My favorite brownie sundae and an iced mocha, please.

Hi Linda, For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried seafood platter with french fries, and lots of tarter sauce, and coleslaw. A coca cola and dinner rolls with all that. For dessert I'll have a chocolate creamy with an iced mocha. We have a creamy stand down in the shopping center near me, and I will have to check that out this summer. I think I'll have dinner out on the terrace again tonight.

I ordered the Low Country boil with cheese grits, sliced tomatoes, and coleslaw. An iced mocha sounds just right for dessert tonight. I think I’ll close my eyes and relax back in my recliner and enjoy the evening out here on the terrace.

I wish I could really could have what I ordered for dinner, but around here they use kielbasa made wth pork and I can’t eat pork. Sweetie used to order Low Country boil at a local restaurant downtown. Unfortunately, that place went out of business during Covid.

Another Saturday at the cybercafe. I’ll be in shortly for dinner. Although I might throw myself into the cyberpool first.

Hi Linda, I think I'll go for a dip in the pool before dinner as well. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the grilled porter house steak with baked potato and a salad. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. Aaah dinner at the cyber cafe out on the terrace after a swim in the pool. Only if the real world could be like this.

I wouldn’t mind living at the cybercafe Zzyyggy. I ordered an iced coffee and a milk chocolate brownie topped with butter pecan ice cream and fudge sauce for dessert.

Hi Linda, Yup this is the high life. Pools, All the food we could ever want, farms, pool room, libraries, movie rooms, terraces, and front porches, pizza ovens, and lots more. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, dinner rolls, and lots of butter. A coca cola with all that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'm going to have a seat on the terrace and enjoy the warm tropical air.

Viktor, I’d like the same dessert Zzyyggy ordered, please. And tell Francois his macaroni and cheese was wonderful tonight. Would you add a good size dollop of whipped cream to my dessert? Thanks.

Zzyyggy, I just might spend the entire summer at the cybercafe, although the tropical heat is making my hair frizzy. I’ve noticed that as the temperature rises, the humidity is starting to rise, as well. I don’t mind if it’s hot and the humidity is at 45% if the dew point is below 60 degrees. When the dew point goes over 70 degrees, which it does almost all summer in the Charlotte area, the weather is oppressive and every day is a bad hair day. I just washed my hair and with the humidity at 63% my hair is all frizzy even with the anti-frizz stuff in it! You can blame your parents for all sorts of physical and emotional attributes, but why couldn’t I have inherited my mother’s non frizzy hair! 😩 Miss Nora would tell me that’s why hair products and flat irons were invented and my hair can be tamed. Of course, her hair doesn’t frizz either.

Hi Linda, Thank goodness for air conditioning. Can't help the frizzled hair, but can keep us cool. I'm starving tonight. I'm going to have the meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas. Dinner rolls and a coca cola as well. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I did not buy the klondike bars this shopping trip. I went by the freezer twice, but did not get any. I'm trying to only get one package a month. Dinner on the terrace.

Viktor, I’ll have what she’s having, please. I’m trying to eat sweets at the cybercafe only. We’ll see how that works, Zzyyggy.

Hi Linda, I think summer has finally arrived in the real world for a bit. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the barbecued chicken with potato salad, and corn on the cob with lots of butter. A coca cola with that For dessert I'll have some ice cream bars and an iced mocha. I'm going to have dinner out on the terrace tonight again. I love sitting outside with the mountain views tonight and watching the eagles soaring up high. We might see a dragon or two who knows.

Dinner was wonderful, Zzyyggy. My compliments to the chef. It’s been awhile since I’ve had barbecue. Francois makes the best cornbread. My favorite ice cream bars are the double caramel Magnum Bars, I’ll only be indulging in them at the cybercafe this summer. Unfortunately, I managed to get Sweetie and our grandson hooked on those ice cream bars and that means I get to watch them eat Magnum Bars.

There be dragons (flies) near the tigers (lilies) by the the stream out back behind our house. I haven’t seen the eagles or the hawks lately, but they sure are fun to watch. Although that one adolescent hawk that would follow Sweetie around the yard a couple of Springs ago startled me a bit. Our son has owls that live in the woods behind their house. They’ll see the owls occasionally and you can hear the hooting sometimes. We’re only a mile away from our son’s house, as the crow flies, and while I’ve never seen the owls at our house I have heard them.

Our daughter-in-law and I spent over three hours on the phone today. We talked about family, health, and solved world problems. And we also discussed what we’re doing for her birthday. Very important. I want her to know how much we love her. It’s funny, I hardly ever talk on the phone, but it was so nice to have a long uninterrupted conversation. It’s not that we don’t talk, it’s just that there’s usually so much going on around us.

Hi Linda, theres nothing like a good ole fashion phone conversation. No texting or zoom meetings involved. I like those too, but just talking is fun as well. In person is best, but if you can't be there the telephone is good. For dinner tonight the boys have set up the pizza ovens on the terrace and are making pizza to order. I'm going to have a medium with everything, and french fries. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll be out on the terrace again. I love dragon flies by the way. We use have them out at our summer camp and I loved to watch them darting among the water lillies out there. Don't see too many in the city.

Yum, pizza! Francois even made garlic knots. I like the vegetable pizza with extra cheese and Dr. Pepper. Chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pecan chocolate chip cookies —I love these endless cookie plates. I could put some Truly Chocolate ice cream on my cookies, too. Oh, or chocolate icing on the cookies would be good. I’m sure Viktor wouldn’t mind bringing out a small bowl of chocolate icing for me.

Gee I’m tired tonight. If the cookies weren’t virtual, i could say cookies made me feel tired. I think I’ll have to go to bed early. It’s either that or spend the night in my recliner on the terrace at the cybercafe.

Ah, the sun is nice and bright at the cybercafe as I float in the cyberpool. Viktor will be bringing out my iced tea and cheese ad freggies plate soon. I’d better get out of the pool and dried off. It’s a cloudy day at home, but look what Sweetie found in the garden:

    zfdpjqtnbrq2.jpeg

I’ve had this plant for 15 years and this is the first calla lily flower to bloom. I had Sweetie pull the lilies out a couple of years ago and they survived the culling. If they’re going to bloom I suppose we should keep them.

Here’s Viktor and he remembered to add my favorite little cheese crackers to my afternoon snack.

Hi Linda, nice picture. I love lillies. I love all flowers but they don't like me in more ways then one. I can't grow them and when they're pollenating in the spring I sneeze. We have some beautiful gardens in this neighborhood, and around the building. I'll have to remember to bring my kindle for some pictures. I can't transfer the pictures from my phone to the computer. They don't like each other for some reason. For dinner tonight I'm going to go for some kid food in salsbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and peas with a coca cola and dinner rolls. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I think I'll hang out on the terrace again tonight and enjoy the view of the cyber cafe's gardens.

We don’t have the big gardens we’ve had in the past at other places we’ve lived mostly because I’m not gardening anymore. Sweetie is doing all the gardening now. At our last house we had a big patio with a pool and we grew flowers, herbs, and vegetables in containers around the patio. I loved it. We served breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside. In the afternoons I could swim and then sit and read a book. That’s why I like it at the cybercafe. There’s all these gardens and trees. It’s so nice and relaxing.

I saw a s’mores pie in the bakery case that looked delicious. I’m definitely ordering that for dessert with a large coffee.

Hi Linda, The Shelburne Museum had loads of gardens, and outside seating areas. That's why I loved to go up there last summer. I'm not a member anymore but I can get free passes this summer from the library. Which is a good thing because the membership price went up to $60.00 from 35.00. I may go up there a couple times this summer. For dinner tonight I'm going to go for the kid's menu again. I'll have the fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, and peas. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a brownie and an iced mocha. No iced mocha for me this week. The busses aren't running on Monday because of the holiday. Neither busses. I'll be stuck at home. Not a bad place to be stuck. Igor has decorated the place for Memorial day with all kinds of flags. The boys will have the grills set up outside all weekend.

Zzyyggy, I’ll join you for brownies and iced mochas. Nice that you can get free tickets to the Shelburne Museum. That’s a huge price increase for their membership. Sorry you won’t get your iced mocha next week, but at least we’ll have an entire Memorial Day weekend to hang out at the cybercafe. I wonder where Igor got the red, white, and blue star shaped fairy lights. They look pretty, don’t they?

We’re having wet, cold, and windy weather in the Charlotte metro area today. It’s been mostly in the mid 50’s today, far from our normal mid 80 degree weather this time of year. It’s been really windy with 20 mph winds, making it feel more like fall and winter weather. The heat’s come on, but still, that means it’s 6 to 8 degrees cooler in the house and I’m freezing. I’m just not used to this. We’ve had a good, steady rain, which is great, so I can’t complain too much.

It’s been nice sitting out here on the terrace with you, Zzyyggy, however, Jorge has a fire going in the Club Room for me and I’m heading in. I’m going to enjoy dessert and read my book. Aside from coffee and my M&M’s, I ordered peach crisp served warm with vanilla ice cream. 😋

Thank you for my iced coffee, Viktor. I’d like the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables, please. Mm, the bread basket looks wonderful. I’ll munch on some of these delicious rolls while I wait for my salad. I heard Francois made an apple galette for dessert. I can’t wait!

Hi Linda. I missed yestarday didn't I? Well here for labor day grilling. Francois has moved out of the kitchen for the day and has set up grills all over. I'm going to have the barbecued spare ribs with potato, and corn on the cob. Lots of butter with all that, and dinner rolls. A coca cola. For dessert I'll take a slice of the red, white and blue berry cakes he made with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. Igor has gone all out with the American Flags around here. I'll have dinner on the terrace.

Zzyyggy! Glad you made it. I’m here for a midnight snack. Francois’ barbecue was so incredible I forgot to post. I’m ready for leftovers. Let’s see what I can find in the refrigerator. Oh, cherry pie. I wonder if there’s any chocolate cherry ice cream left. Yup, got it. Thank goodness the sun was shining at the cybercafe today. We had rain all weekend at home, although the sun made a brief appearance at 6:00 this evening. I’d better finish up this pie and get to bed. Sweet dreams.

Hi Linda, I'm going to have the BLT grinder without the tomatoes, but a whole lot of bacon and mayo with french fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll have it in the dining room. Igor has set up a huge aquarium in the dining room with all kinds of sea life in it. It's interesting and mesmerizing to watch.

Francois made me a cheeseburger biscuit this evening, delicious. And the french fries were a treat, too. The aquarium is fun, Zzyyggy. It’s kind of relaxing sitting here watching the fish while we have our cookies and iced mochas.

I’m not sure what’s happening with me, but the humidity was really high today and it felt good. Really good. Yes, my hair was frizzy, but I didn’t mind. Let’s see if I feel the same when the temperature goes over 90 degrees.
