Playing around with the new format. I found that I had a draft post. I clicked on it; it was a post in this thread from 2015. Weird!
I’ve made an appointment to take my new kitty to the vet. We are going Monday at 9:30. I’m worried that she has peed somewhere in the house. She hasn’t used the litter box, but I haven’t seen her squat. it’s possible, I guess, that she was so dehydrated that she hasn’t had to go. I am clueless! I’m pretty sure the reason she hasn’t had to poop is that she hasn’t had any food. She’s eaten perhaps 1/2 cup of Meow Mix, maybe 3/4 since I brought her home last night, so over the last 15 hours. I took her outside for 15 minutes, but didn’t see her do anything out there either.4 -

Happy Birthday Annie!!!
Well ran up to Petsmart and picked up what i had ordered also took Homer to the vet.. Dr Danby used to work with the Vets office and now helps out periodically.. did bloodwork on him and he is licking and could have a possible infection..so an antibiotic shot and some pain meds and i bought a soft cone so that he doesnt lick...
And brought him back over here.. i haven't brought him here lately because he was getting agitated, but today he settled right down and both of them are on my lap...I was going to work on the afghan which is big and bulky but its kinda hard with 2 dogs plopped on top of you.. Dr also brought up the possibility of doggie dementia...they will check bloodwork first and urine ,and if that all comes back clear than that could be a possibility.. poor lil guy..

Hi all! I was really ridiculously nervous listening to my recorded interview this afternoon, but I feel it went well. People seem to like it.
A cousin picked it up by accident and had no idea!
If anyone meant to listen, and somehow missed it, you can find it on BBC Radio Sussex catchup for 29 days! Sarah Gorrell, which is a 4 hour slot from 10-14.00 GMT. I am 3.08 hours in until 3.25 hrs. You can get the station by Googling it and looking for 19/11/21 .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Annie!
It's our 17th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Celebrating with lunch in a French Bistro in our famous 'Lanes'.
Tonight I've cooked lamb shanks in red wine. Kleftiko.

Rita--Sending Hugs and prayers.
Allie--I have a grand daughter that for the last 5-6 years has been living as Leinen a guy. It took me a while to ajust and figure out how serious he was. It amazes me that he went to college and now his job all refer to him as a male. I also have a niece that is married to another woman. I don't understand it, but just love them and try and be there for them. That's the best we can do. I understand how you feel about your friend Doris and no one telling you. I found out last week that a lady I worked with for years and was friends with outside of work passed away Aug 27 and no one told me. I have not been able to get a hold of her for a while and finally called the place her husband is buried and they told me they just got the order to put the date on her stone. They told me and then I got a hold of her daughter and she said they could not tell anyone. So sad and I feel very hurt. But nothing I can do and they put her ashes out in Michigan where the son lives.
Beth--I would return the shirt and let them know the reason.
Tracey--I think what your grandmother told you about parent love\grandparent love is very true and makes so much sense.
Rebecca--Hugs and prayers for you and your sister. It is not easy to handle.
Barbie--I am surprised at the number of homes and business that are decorated for Christmas. I tell myself every year not until after Thanksgiving. I will say I am done with my shopping and just have to wrap and get a couple to mail. Time is going by so fast Christmas will be here and gone before we know it.
Michele--The hospital group I work for has the patient record that is nation wide. So any doctor or hospital can pull up the patient records. I like it with DH going to all these different doctors they have all the tests and results the other doctors are doing and we do not have to wait for them to send the records. I know this has been something that is to be avaible to every doctor and hospital as they update systems. It makes me a little scared as anyone that would have my name and infor could get into the record. They claim it can't happen, but we all know computers can be haked.
Happy birthday Annie and Happy anniversary Heather.
I am glad it is Friday, even though I have been off the last 3 days. The service for DSIL was interesting. It was Indain and very interesting. We came home last evening as worked today. Worried about DD, but she has a lot of support from his family that lives there. Also the day we left I got a call that one of my girls son tested positive for Covid and the next morning she calls to tell me she has. So I had to make sure the shifts were covered until I got back today. She will not be back until next weekend so I will be working the long shift all next week. And she is fully vacated.
Sorry for the long post.

For some reason, I keep hearing Winnie the Pooh in my ear, saying "Oh bother..." Back home after driving in for my covid booster and flu shot. Feel a little wibbly around the edges, but it's not too bad.
No Aleve for the next three days. Which could have been worse, it used to be you had to stop NSAIDS a week before the procedure. I'm dreading it, in all honesty--not the colonoscopy, but my overriding distaste for strangers touching me. That, added to the pain from all my joints is not easy to contemplate.
Hope it's a good weekend for us all.
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR
Egg is keeping me relaxed, as I can't move until she does...

Annie: Happy Birthday
Heather: I hope you and Johnnie have a wonderful anniversary. I’m off now to Google your interview.
Later: Heather, that was a powerful interview. I love the sympathetic way Sarah conducted the interview. You came across a remarkable woman, but we knew that anyway. 😂
Lisa: Let Egg be your solace. 🥰 the understated Winnie the Pooh reference (((Hugs)))
Gynae appointment did not go well🥴 I will need a day procedure under local anaesthetic to resolve the problem. More delay!!! 🙄
Having an early night

Worked today then the soup kitchen. I don’t know why, but it seemed to take a long time at work today. I’m thinking that the reaction I’m having to the flu shot is that I’m extremely tired. Came home from the soup kitchen and slept for 2 hours. Yesterday I slept for about 2 hours
Allie – good thoughts for Homer. We took a test to see if lexi has dementia. Unfortunately, we answered positively to like 7 of the 10 questions. We know she has dementia
Anne DE – happy birthday
Heather – happy anniversary
Terri – I’m sorry the appt didn’t go well. At least it’s only a day procedure under local
Vice is putting the lights on the trees. I slept another 2 hours, and feel like I need to sleep more

Happy birthday Annie!
Happy anniversary Heather!
A friend from church who sat next to me in choir and sang with me for virtual choir has passed away. I will miss her singing next to me.
On a happier note the Everett Philharmonic is going to play their first live concert on November 28. All attending must show proof of vaccination and wear masks. I would like to go but will still have company here then.
Katla - I hope you are safely in VA.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA4 -
Michele I was tired for two days after my Covid booster so I treated the fatigue with a nap. It worked3

Sue- will the concert be broadcast too. Everett is so pretty. I have an aunt in LkStevens and friends and cousins that live in Mt.Vernon. Hoping to get back up there, maybe this coming summer. Snohomish is one of our favorite places up there.0 -

Annie …Happy Birthday!
Heather … Happy Anniversary!
We traveled to Cleveland on Wednesday and were able to take my mom to the hospital to see my dad. Unfortunately Covid rules prevented me from seeing him as I couldn’t push my moms wheelchair and manage my walker. My husband was allowed to visit as he became the designated assistant to my mom. I sat in the car. Things are not going well and my dad has now developed pneumonia in addition to the bowel obstruction. A herniated “something” and a surgeon is waiting to make a decision. I don’t know more because my deaf parents won’t allow my brother or I to talk to medical personnel. I’m worried about my mom as well. She is fragile and frightened and alone in a house she has no business trying to manage. My brother hopes to be with her next week.

Hi Gals,
So decided to listen to the whole of the BBC programme. It’s so different in format than radio I listen to here in the us. The amount of “bumper” music between the talking most of the radio I listen to is either mostly music, or mostly talk, but this is more like 40/60
Heather so interesting to hear your voice! I really enjoyed knowing what you sound like. And Sarah is a good interviewer, but you stole the show! I feel like we “know” each other on this forum but hearing the interview broadened and deepened my feeling that I “know” you.
Happy birthday and happy anniversary to all that are celebrating!!!!!
We have this chain of take and bake pizza, good pizza at a very good price – you bought it and cooked it at home. Which was a nice treat a few times a year. The closest one closed a few weeks ago and the next one is about 15 miles away, through the worst traffic area. My mom, nephew and his girl friend are coming to spend the 1st weekend of December with me and we will do all the cookie baking for the Christmas holiday. I was hoping to find pizza for one of those dinners. The Take and Bake was about $12 per large pizza, so I was looking at the cost of pizza at the places close, and it is about $40 for the same thing – but cooked. Really changes the budget.
Beth – what a mess! Do you folks read lips or sign or both? And do they have the support they need to communicate fully with the medical staff?
Thinking of everyone.

Annie - happy Birthday
Heather - happy Anniversary
I’m going to try to find your interview.
I am planning on decorating outside this weekend. It’s calling for a warm weekend only hovering around 0
Lisa - I hope your pain isn’t unbearable while you have to stay away from Aleve.
Terri - sorry you have to have a procedure done.
Beth - you and your brother are in a difficult situation. I pray they let you help soon.
Kim - my favourite pizza is homemade pizza. I just use the Kraft kits. They don’t take much work and are relatively affordable.
I did a little Christmas shopping from my recliner tonight. I bought a gift for both Sons in Law. My youngest daughter’s husband and I have a standing gift request. In 2013 I was in my way to go shopping with my daughter when he called and she had him on speaker phone. I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he told me whiskey and socks. I thought he was joking but my daughter told me he was serious. I couldn’t just buy socks and call it good, so I bought him some for his carpentry job, some for his EMT uniform and some sports socks for his running. He loved them! Bragged to everyone that I buy what he asks for and did a good job. So every year since his answer is always whiskey and socks. I have tried to up my sock and whiskey game each year and it is becoming a fun thing for me to shop for. Tonight I ordered these socks for him. I can’t wait to see his face!
Tomorrow we are going to my supervisor’s house to cut a tree to use for our ornaments. After that I am going to pick our Grandson up for the night and I need to do some crafting!

November: leaner/stronger/kinder than October.
Accountability:Chose well: BP, dogs to powerline, chiro
Bonus: paid van renewal on line, emailed hymns
Just one thing:
18: Connect with someone from a different generation. Time to email M.
19: Broaden your perspective: read a different paper, magazine or site. Finally read the Pioneer Woman magazine Joe brought me. A little disappointed, too much style stuff, some of the recipes sounded good but many were from new cookbook hacking box mixes. Will make it easier to recycle and not keep this magazine
20: Make a meal using an ingredient or recipe you’ve never tried: Harissa?
Joe’s booster made his arm sore and gave him the aches. Hope it eases quickly, he really doesn’t need any more anxiety.
Oops, belated best birthday wishes, Miss Kellie!
The very happiest of birthdays to you Annie!
Likewise, the very happiest of anniversaries, Heather and Johnny!
Lisa, holding good thoughts for the procedure. May you get answers and quick, easy solutions.
Vicki Terri how much longer will you have to wait? Grr!
Beth prayers and hugs for your dad, your mom and you.
Tracey I had to look twice at that pic to see the socks
Met 2 friends for margaritas, intended to sit outside but the heaters weren’t working so we risked inside. Well distanced, waitstaff fully masked. It was so good to sit together and laugh.
Lighter, lovelies!
