12/18 / 187.4 / New low weight. Did another FTP test on the Peloton today and improved my avg watts by 17 - feeling very happy with the improved fitness! The weather is a bit better here today... I left it all on the bike but I want to get my dog out for a walk too.
12/19 / 187.4 / Had a great day all around yesterday.. my first rum and eggnog, presents are mostly wrapped, got lots of steps in. We have lots to get done between now and Christmas Keeping my eating on track is just another one of the items on the list!

12/18. 138.4. Went to a Christmas party last night and followed my party food strategy. I expected a bit of an uptick, so all is good!
12/19 140.1. OK, so, following the Christmas party on Friday, I logged my best guesses for food. And although I followed my Christmas food 'strategy', I racked up close to 750 calories for the party. Admittedly, I probably guessed on the high side, but it was probably at least 600 calories. (My strategy is 3 goodies and one punch drink per party). Clearly, this was a oh, my gosh moment and I was able to justify not logging yesterday (don't try to figure out the rationale; there is none). Which, of course, included the reasoning to eat 3 cookies on a non-party day. In an hour or two, I will be going to another Christmas party, keeping to my strategy. And, yes, I am back to logging today. It has been a little disconcerting on how off-track my thinking got with one setback (awareness of the high calories even with my strategy). I think my strategy is reasonable, however. Although my goal for the end-of-the-year is 140 lbs, I will keep in mind my UG of 135 lbs end of Feb (vacation). (I'm already trying to brace myself for the end-of-year weight.)
12/30. 139.0 Followed my party strategy; goodies yesterday added up to far less than my last party! Still over a good 200 calories for the day, but that is ok/planned. Now, I only have (very) small family gatherings Christmas Eve and Day. These will be the higher calories count, for sure. I don't believe I've ever had a 'strategy' for holiday treats before, other than planning (and not following through) to not 'sample' goodies as I bake them. So, far, so good, although I more than likely will not be able to fit in exercise on Christmas Day.

12/22. 138.2. Visited with neighbors longer than expected yesterday, which resulted in me having a glass of wine and and cookie. Over my calories by just that much yesterday, but it is my strategy to have goodies (within reason) at get-togethers. Going into the home stretch for the holidays...
12/23. 139.0. Still all good. Saw some more neighbors last evening, but did not eat. However, I am finding that by eating more calories this past week or so that I am desiring more calories in general, supposedly feeling more hungry--whether it is hunger or not! I received my booster yesterday and my arm is sore, as expected. I had a mild headache in the middle of the night, but ibuprofen took care of that. Sadly, however, I was up for three hours! And...decided something warm may be conducive to sleep, so I had a good 1/2 cup of egg nog (!). It did work, btw, even being nonalcoholic, lol. I may be able to fit it in my calories for the day (probably not, it will be tight!). Of note, the egg nog was good, but not great, so I will not have it Christmas Eve or Day, as previously planned for at least one of those get-togethers. Be assured, however, I will be having some other drinks/punches those days, but few drinks can compare to calories as egg nog, I would guess.

Round 172 (104th for me). I prove yet again round after round that I need this to help keep me on the straight and narrow.
There are only 7 days to Christmas !! Challenge this year is not to gain any additional pounds & I need to remain binge free, but as always – yet again any loss will be a win!
Covid numbers are going up again in England (Omnicrom) – the pandemic is still very much here: Covid is still very much around! Continue to wash hands, be kind, wear a mask in public indoor settings, think before you head out, stay alert and always consider others.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But than I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

2/18 135.4 – 11.48 miles walked yesterday, still have cold & still feeding it, but trying to keep damage limitation! Tested for Covid again this morning as I am paranoid about protecting others, luckily I am still negative.
12/19 135.4 – 9.68 miles walked yesterday and a great night with lots of dancing.
12/20 135.4 – 7.1 miles walked yesterday. Had a wonderful day on a Heritage steam railway up in the Peak district on a Santa special with all our little DGCs (4) & their parents; precious family time.
12/21 134.4 – 11.42 miles walked yesterday. Back on track with eating after a few “waywood” days! Calories well under, carbs 13g over.
12/22 134.4 – 8.2 miles walked yesterday. Visited a Christmas market with my DSs (4) & lunch out together, just about started within calories & macros with meals, but didn't track or log samples of food & drink accepted around the market Grateful to remain the same! Plan a good day today.

May 10, 2021: 183.1 - just 2.9 pounds off 186, my heaviest weight ever.
Calorie/Carb Cycling with an average of 1200 to 1400 calorie s at the end of 10 days. 80 oz water each day. Row/Walk/Free-Weights most days. IF, no sugar. Focus on getting enough vegetables. If I hit each of these, the weight loss will follow!
Next goal: - 140's by my birthday, Feb 10.

12/23 - 159.5 - Just baked a cake. It has cream cheese frosting, which I love. I had a very small piece since I'm not indulging until tomorrow. I'm in shock because I had to scape off almost all the frosting. It was just too sweet. This is coming from someone who would eat half the bowl of frosting before frosting the cake and then add extra to my plate. Who is this person? All I know is I love her and I'm keeping her around for a long time! LOL

12/20 118.4 late afternoon after my run. We ended up going away earlier than planned and I ended up not having a chance to post. On Saturday we hiked Mt. Waumbek which was beautiful. Food was decent for being away which I pleased with. Food was good today. I’m working my way through the New Power Eating book and can’t wait to design my meal planning using it. Some structure in my meals will be nice and it’ll be interesting to see how it effects my training.

12/23 117.8 after my workout this morning. Forgot to weigh before it. This week has been good so far weight wise. I’m really liking the eating plan I have and am feeling good from it. I have hope that 2022 will be the year I hit my goal weight of 110 in a healthy way. I’m on the right track with this plan and I’m excited to see what happens. This whole eating more healthy food thing is pretty nice and making sure I hit the right macros hasn’t been too challenging the past two days. I know it’ll take time and will be easier once I actually plan my meals but I just haven’t had time to. I plan on doing that this weekend though because I took Monday off as well.
Tomorrow I will be baking and cooking all day. On the agenda for tomorrow is to make Key Lime pie with a vanilla sandwich cookie macadamia nut graham cracker crust(for xmas dessert with immediate family), ginger molasses bread (for father in law), dairy free and gluten free chocolate cookies(for sister in law), eggnog (for my husband and I and maybe my father in law if he wants to try it, so the store was all out so why not make my own?), and tiramisu (for my mother in law gets a pyrex container and mason jar portions for my husband and I).

Thought I’d be down a little this morning, but I guess it’s gonna take a few days for lower cals to kick in. No problem. I baked a mincemeat pie yesterday and had a small piece but still kept cals below 1500, so not too bad. I’ve been laughing at Mike (cat) and Rory (puppy) playing their usual game. Mike calls it Whack-a-Dog, Rory calls it Chase a Cat. Rory chase Mike under the bed, then jumps on top, off the other side, races around and down the hall, Mike runs out from under the bed and whacks Rory as he goes by, Rory runs a loop around the living room, rinse, repeat. At least they get some exercise on this wet, cold, gloomy morning—maybe I should join in! And I get to laugh.😁

Thought I’d be down a little this morning, but I guess it’s gonna take a few days for lower cals to kick in. No problem. I baked a mincemeat pie yesterday and had a small piece but still kept cals below 1500, so not too bad. I’ve been laughing at Mike (cat) and Rory (puppy) playing their usual game. Mike calls it Whack-a-Dog, Rory calls it Chase a Cat. Rory chase Mike under the bed, then jumps on top, off the other side, races around and down the hall, Mike runs out from under the bed and whacks Rory as he goes by, Rory runs a loop around the living room, rinse, repeat. At least they get some exercise on this wet, cold, gloomy morning—maybe I should join in! And I get to laugh.😁

12/18 202.0 (-.4) I got my booster shot yesterday afternoon. Feeling a bit tired, but not too bad. I didn’t schedule a thing today in preparation. I will be having my indulgence meal later so my weight will be up a bit over the next few days.

12/21 203.8 (+1.4) Surprised to still be at this weight. It was a busy day yesterday. I ate late and didn’t get my water in. Still, it’s going to drop because I’m eating right. Today, I’m swimming, so a whoosh is in my near future. I’d love to be down to a new low weight before Christmas festivities commence.
12/22 202.6 (+.2) There’s a bit of a drop. Still not down to my low weight, but happy with that, especially the week of Christmas. Today is busy…no organized exercise. We have nine days left until the end of the year. It’s been a good year.

12/17 …..189.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
12/18 ….191.2 ….. (Trend weight 190.3) Well, for Crying Out Loud! I had a good dietary day yesterday. Better than I have in awhile. No TMI, no sleep last night and early weigh-in probably contributing but it still feels like I’ll spend the entire round trying to get back to start weight! Far travels today for Christmas shopping with daughter. There will be plenty of car sitting and restaurant food will be in the picture which we always enjoy since we are from a very rural area with few choices in dining out. I’ll try to walk off as much as possible with that shopping, but my daughter is at that age where she will be rushing. I’m the type who can shop till I drop and would be using way more calories up if I was on my own. I plan to enjoy the day though. City sidewalks….Busy sidewalks….. Here I come!
12/19 …..191.0 ….. Trend weight 190.4) I arrived home from the Christmas shopping travels at 2:00 AM! I threw all caution to the wind and ate both lunch and dinner at the restaurants out of town. Lots of calories and not as much walking as you might expect. Plenty of time standing in place looking at toy shelves and clothing racks. Lots of time sitting in car driving two hours each way plus driving between many stores. I had fun though and I may be done with the shopping. Weight actually went down a touch overnight (trend slightly up). I suppose it will catch up to me in the coming days and I may see an uptick. If so, that would be fair. Keeping it honest, friends!
12/20 …..191.2 ….. (Trend weight 190.5) Back & Forth like a teeter-totter between 191 and 191.2 . I was hoping for a drop. I guess I should just be happy it didn’t go higher yet after the travels. I attended a funeral home service/memorial yesterday for a friend that was so well loved by so many. She was only 55 and died after an asthma attack. She spent many years having difficulty breathing and having many allergies but this was a shocker. It was difficult seeing her husband and family in such shocked and horrendous grief. This has been a hard year for so many. I, for one, can’t take much more and will be happy to say goodbye to 2021.
12/21 …..191.4 ….. (Trend weight 190.5) I ate horribly yesterday. I consciously chose to eat junk instead of dinner, and call it dinner! A full-on emotional binge. Later last night I decided to cook some chicken breast for today’s dinner to make it easy and something I would go to when looking for ease. I woke up this morning and my son had eaten it all. That’s the second time in the past few days he has done that. So much for prep cooking! I’ll have to have a talk with him! I’ll re-plan today’s dinner. I am feeling so horribly bad due to the bad food that I can barely function. Lethargic lack of energy. Tummy.
12/22 …..192.2 ….. (Trend weight 190.7) Another day of no TMI. Good meals but cookie baking started. A little too much taste testing. I’ll try to do better as I continue baking.
12/23 …..191.4 ….. (Trend weight 190.8) Lots of cookie baking yesterday but I did much better not eating too many. Finally TMI which is what has affected my weight the most. Very hungry today from the moment I woke up. I’ll have to fight all day.
12/24 …..192.4 ….. (Trend weight 190.9) Not too many Christmas treats even though I’m still actively baking. But there was a late dinner though I kept it light. I didn’t count the calories or carbs though. I just eyeballed small quantities. That never works. My family dinner is Sunday.

Well, my challenge goal was to get under 200, then I weighed in this morning! 😄 I'm going to keep it at 199, just because I've gone down .6 lbs 4 days in a row so I'm anticipating a rebound. Fingers crossed it doesn't, but that's how my body rolls!
12/19: 198 lbs (-1.6)
I was not expecting that! I drank a lot of water yesterday so maybe flushed out some fluid. I also focused on relaxing and stress relief in the evening.
12/20: 198.4 lbs (+0.4)
Still can't believe I'm below 200. It feels unreal!
12/21: 198 lbs (-0.4)
I was expecting to go up. Pretty sore from yesterday's weight session. Need to drink a lot of water today.
12/22: lbs 198 (0)
I'll take a push. Still sore from Monday's workout so yesterday was an active rest day. Got out for a couple walks. Calories were a little low, but a lot of veggies so had trouble fitting more in my stomach!
12/23: 197.8 lbs (-0.2)
Trainer has been brutal this week! Was just starting to get over Mondays and she threw another hard one at us. Starting to feel some abs under my squishy tummy though.

I'm just gonna creep my way slowly down! 🤣 It's going the right way, so I'm happy.

12/18 / 187.4 / New low weight. Did another FTP test on the Peloton today and improved my avg watts by 17 - feeling very happy with the improved fitness! The weather is a bit better here today... I left it all on the bike but I want to get my dog out for a walk too.
12/19 / 187.4 / Had a great day all around yesterday.. my first rum and eggnog, presents are mostly wrapped, got lots of steps in. We have lots to get done between now and Christmas Keeping my eating on track is just another one of the items on the list!
12/20 / 188.2 / Made homemade cabbage rolls at my Mom's yesterday and made sure to get lots of exercise. Started my new Peloton Power Zone program at my new zones.
12/21 / 188.6 / Rode the bike twice yesterday, but also had an unexpected dinner out. It all balanced out.
12/22 / 186.2 / Had a fun dinner out last night at a Christmas pop-up restaurant. Preplanned my meal so that I could stay on track.
12/23 / 187.8 / Still under round goal - the next two days will be the toughest but planning to do my absolute best! Tis the season!
12/24 / 189.2 / Got on the bike this morning and set a PR for my 60 minute time. Done work in about half an hour - I am on call through the holidays which means working more than normal but it will still be a great break!
