    Hi. I am Dawn. 61yrs, 5'2"
I topped out at 207 pounds years ago, I started MFP over 3 years ago at 191.
I hit 130.6 in March or April of 2021 and then gained a bit each month after that for the rest of the year. Those illusive 120s, maybe this year.
My ideal weight for my body structure is 110 according to many methods.

1/1 - DNW - I am using my end weight from last month as my start weight. 136.0
    1/2 - DNW
1/3 - 139.2 - This seems inflated. Hope to never see this number ever again, hadn't seen it this high since 2020.
1/4 - 136.4 - Burned more calories than I ate yesterday with a beautiful big dump of snow to shovel, plus skating. Clear and blue this morning, hoping to be able to grab a quick cross-country ski today after work before it gets dark.
1/5 - 136.0 - Broke even. Going skating to 2 different arenas today, one before work and one after. Cooking up my veggies for the next 2 days this morning.
1/6 - 135.2 - I am losing weight, but my activity has been much more than my intake this week. This is not sustainable over the long term, but happy to see the scale dropping nevertheless.
1/7 - 135.2 - Odd for me to have the same weight 2 days in a row. Planning for a bit of an indulgent weekend, but will try to keep it reasonable. Ice skating this morning before work which should fire up my metabolism.
1/8 - 137.8 - Ouch, but expected. Mulled Cider spiked with spiced rum, pizza.
1/9 - 139.0 - Very early weigh in, I wasn't even going to get up, but once I did I wanted a glass of water, so thought that I should weigh before that. Feeling kind of lean, so expect the scale to really drop tomorrow when I can hopefully sleep until 7am.
1/10 - 139.8 - Double ouch. 3 slices of Pizza from Friday still showing up? Argh. Truly expected a big drop today, very active weekend and good food choices. Oh well, ice skating this morning before work and cross-country skiing after work.
1/11 - 139.0 - Very active time of year for me with lots of ice skating. Hoping to see a big drop on the scale to reflect it. Not today : - )
    1/12 - 138.8
    1/13 - 138.6
1/14 - 138.2 - Skating this morning before work, so will burn extra calories having fun, on top of my usual workouts. Good thing because Friday night I typically have a couple of cocktails and eat something a little yummier than my usual veggies with a small slab of meat on the George Foreman grill. I will have a bit of a buffer. I still haven't changed my check-in on MFP since March when I was sitting at 130.6. Pedometre is set at that weight also.
1/15 - 136.8 - Wow, I even had East Indian food from work last night. Surprised by the drop, but maybe my active week finally registered in my slow to catch up body. On days off now for 2 so will be eating well and prepping food for next week.
1/16 - 139.6 - Wow. Yo-yo on the scale. Skating today, so hope to even this out.
1/17 - 139.8 - Couldn't skate yesterday, I was too achy and chilled from my booster shot. It shows.
    1/18 - 139.2
1/19 - 139.2 - I think that it would have been less except that I ate 2! samosas yesterday which I don't normally include as food. Double skating today, before work and during my break on my split shift, so hopefully a nice loss on the scale in the days to follow. Really don't like being up this high at all.
    1/20 - 138.8 - Huge calorie burn yesterday.
1/21 - 139.2 - Skating today, but also having pizza with a friend after work, so we'll see. These are my most active months until March, so had hoped to weigh less like most years from the increased activity. Nope : - )
1/22 - 138.8 - No skating today, guess that I have to clean my house lol.
    1/23 - 137.6 - Ice skating today
1/24 - 139.0 - Back to weighing at my regular time, this is likely my real weight. Skating before work today, my quads and glute should be starting to burn fat on their own now : - )
1/25 - 137.8 - Glad to not see the 139s today. Not much time to get back to start weight for this month, but I will try.
1/26 - 136.6 - Not doing anything differently, but very glad to see the drop. Maybe all of the skating is finally kicking in. Skating this morning before work and during my break on my split shift : - )
1/27 - 137.6 - Had a couple of drinks after a very long day, and ate dinner very late. Expected a rise this morning.
    1/28 -
    1/29 -
    1/30 -
    1/31 -

    January start weight 136.0
    Rolling loss/gain: Gain 1.6 pounds

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 61 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    01/19.…..193.2…..(Trend Weight 193.1)…..
    01/20.…..192.6…..(Trend Weight 193.0)…..

01/21.…..193.0…..(Trend Weight 193.0)….. Great dietary choices yesterday and nice quantities within my limits. Still a lack of movement and low water. The water part I can work on. A slice of pumpkin pie with Cool Whip very late last night likely accounts for the major part of the uptick. That was my only lapse yesterday. Today my goal is to not be influenced to over eat or eat the wrong things. My daughter is off work for her normal 3 day weekend and she eats constantly!

01/22.…..193.6…..(Trend Weight 193.1)….. Pasta for dinner but all within calories. Only 5000+ steps due to reno restrictions. It must be that.

01/23.…..196.0…..(Trend Weight 193.1)….. WTH????? Okay, I know how to play this game and THIS doesn’t make ANY sense! I did have Chinese carry-out for dinner brought in by daughter so I expected a bump up even though I drank extra water and I only ate half leaving leftovers for today, but the rest of my day was very good. It has to be the lack of exercise. This project is not yet half finished . My poor grandson is trapped upstairs and I’m trapped down. I’ve got to use the steps today for some extra movement.

01/24.…..194.4…..(Trend Weight 193.5)….. Diet and Calories about the same as yesterday. One day a double huge gain. The next day a nice loss. Go Figure! Moving on……

01/25.…..194.4…..(Trend Weight 193.6)….. I guess no change is better than a gain. Fitbit shows over 7000 steps and 20 flights of stairs although I’m very sure it was more flights than it captured. Livingroom reno is moving s..l..o..w. I will be involved in reno’s for YEARS. This is about 3200 or 3300 sq ft of finished house and it ALL has to go. Bye-bye 1970’s. Some things I am doing are cosmetic until we can get back to the big stuff in the spring when the roads are better for the long hauls from the big box stores. It is looking much better though. The areas we are working on are the most restrictive for actual living. Another week maybe?

01/26.…..194.4…..(Trend Weight 193.6)…… Same lack of movement as yesterday. I did get in 15 flights of stairs (mine are long and steep) according to fitbit but I swear it was more. A little of 7000 steps again. That is low for me. Handyment were off today because I traveled to out-of-town dentist for a cleaning. Got in some shopping and hit a hobby lobby. Next time I am taking a tent and making it a vacation. So much inspiration in that place. I couldn’t get out without spending $200 + dollars and that was with everything I purchased at 50% off. Hopefully the steps throughout that one store alone today will make up for the Applebee’s.

01/27.…..196.8…..(Trend Weight 194.0)…… Wow, what a jump overnight after travel. Yesterday was lots of sitting, too much spending and 3 meals instead of 2. Back to being restricted while babysitting today and during the continued work in the living room today. Back to climbing stairs for exercise. Pushing water because 2 ½ pounds in one day over normal sized (but normal calorie) meals is crazy. Gotta be some bloat in there!

    01/28.…..xxxxx…..(Trend Weight xxxxx)……
    01/29.…..xxxxx…..(Trend Weight xxxxx)……

    January Starting Weight: 141.8
    January Goal Weight: 136.8

    1/3: 141.2
    1/4: 141
    1/5: 140.8
1/6: 142.4 Extremely maddening. I went to a Chinese buffet last night, so this is sodium and actual weight of the food, but still. I didn't eat to the point that I was stuffed, and I didn't eat 1.4 fat pounds worth of calories. One day to put it on, 3 days to take it off!
1/7: 140.4 Well, that was the fastest I've ever dropped water weight! I drank 12 cups of water yesterday, so maybe that helped.
    Week 1 Loss: -1.4

    1/8: 140.4
    1/9: 140.2
    1/10: 140.4
1/11: 139.4 New decade! Now to stay in it.
    1/12: 139.4

    Week 2 Loss: -2.2

    1/15: 138.2
    1/16: 138.8
    1/17: 138.2
    1/18: DNW
1/19: 139.4 I had a lazy, indulgent Monday and was too scared to get on the scale yesterday haha! I'm adding an extra 15 minutes of exercise every day this week to compensate.
    1/20: 139.2
    1/21: 138.6
    Week 3 GAIN: +0.6

    1/22: 138.8
    1/23: 138.4
    1/24: 138.4
    1/25: 137 Finally out of the 138s!
1/26: 136.8 Made goal for challenge! Now I just have to hold on to it.
1/27: 137.4 Normal adjustment. I had a pretty big loss Tuesday. Still on track to make goal for this challenge, if not then very close.

    Hi. I am Dawn.

1/28 - 137.0 - Having pizza and wings (and Prosecco) tonight with a friend. Hoping that skating this morning before work will help to mitigate that.
    1/29 -
    1/30 -
    1/31 -

    January Starting Weight: 141.8
    January Goal Weight: 136.8

    1/1: 141.8
    1/2: 141.2
    1/3: 141.2
    1/4: 141

    1/28: 137.4

    Hello again, everyone!!

My name is Ana. Some months after my late husband passed away in 2011 I was at my highest weight (180 lbs). Using MFP I was able to get back to a healthy weight through diet and exercise and I kept it off for years. Unfortunately, the pandemic has messed me up in many, profound ways that led to a Dr's visit on 06.16.21  where I learned that I was back up to 156.4 lb. I am back to the MFP community to make myself accountable for my own health.
My plan for this month is: calorie deficit (zigzag mode) but putting nutrition first. I'll try my best to plan yummy foods, be mindful of portions when indulging. I will exercise at least 5x a week and will try my best to walk to work. Good luck to me and to all of you! 💖

    Highest Weight 2011: 180 lbs
    2021 Highest (June): 156.4 lbs
    January Start/End: 139.6 / 137.6 (- 2.0)
Ultimate goal: Be fit and at a healthy weight.

01/04:     139.6 (+.8) I've been on "maintenance" mode for the past 9 weeks, during which I've gained 1.2 lb (not too bad, considering the holidays). I had a lot of family time and ate a lot of good food. Even though I tried to be careful, I had very little activity and made 2 long trips in 5 days. Today I weighed in after a 12 hr trip back home yesterday. I'm proud of myself for planning a 4 hr. stop at a zoo/museum to get physical activity to break the trip and made smart choices regarding food so I'm hoping part of this weight will go away soon!
Back on track. It's time to take on fat loss again!

01/08:    ?    I didn't weigh in nor was I able to keep up with my food logs as I would have liked due to what they call "acts of nature," but I did keep on track as best as I could and even though I indulged with pancakes, I did my fair share of shoveling snow to earn them -I hope!-

01/15:    138 (-1.6) So excited for the loss! I'm back to 11.01.21 weight, which has been my LOWEST WEIGHT IN A LONG TIME! This past week I was able to plan better and to keep better track of my nutrition intake. It's getting hard to meet my calorie and nutritional goal when I'm craving hearty meals... I mean... a salad with 28° weather? Not me, thank you! So, even though I'm consuming more calories than what I'm supposed to to lose weight, I am trying to be more active so hopefully that will help...
One thing I'm sure of is that I won't be able to maintain a weight loss effort long term if I'm hungry so... gotta get creative! I am happy I'm almost halfway through my goal, though and considering the flop during the first week of the year, I think things are looking pretty okay.

01/22:    137.6 (-0.4) I'm writing before I weigh myself in: I acknowledge that I tried to stick to the plan but was defeated by a family size bag of cheetos (from which I've been snacking on for 3 days) and some petit fours yesterday. Also, I didn't walk to work since it's been so cold I'm afraid to get hurt on the way. On the positive: I ate mostly clean food and finished my workout challenge on time, which felt like a supreme effort to me. I give myself a 7.5 out of 10 this week, which is not terrible 😅
I'll be happy if at least I didn't gain this week.
After weigh-in note: not so sure about this number, but I'll take it. It first showed 138, then 137... After a few tries, 137.6 was the number that consistently showed. Time for a new scale? I got it 6 months ago, though!

01/29: 137.6 ( 0 ) Currently experiencing TOM pains and bloating. In other words, I'm hoping there was some loss this week but I'll have to wait to have a more accurate weigh-in next Saturday. This week I felt very satisfied (both physically and emotionally) with my meal planning but still snacked at work and while watching movies at night. I was careful with portion control of my snacks so I think it was a good week regardless. I exercised 4x and had to drive to work so I wasn't as active as I'd like. Sad that I might need to drive to work next week as well!

    Love to everyone! 💖

    -A

    Goals of the week:
    1. Plan hearty, low-cal meals
    2. Put nutrition to the forefront
    3. Listen to my satiety cues
    4. Sleep at least 7 hrs every night
    5. Morning exercise 4-5x/week
    6. Try my best to walk 3-4x/week

    REMINDER TO SELF:
    Highest Weight, 2011: 180 lbs
    MFP Start: 175 lbs

    2022 LOSS:
    January Start/End: 139.6 / 137.6 (- 2.0)

    2021 LOSS : 16.8 lbs (8.3 Kilos) So proud!!
    June Start/End: 156.4 / 151.8 (- 4.6)
    July Start/End: 151.8 / 148.4 (- 3.4)
    August Start/End: 150.2 / 146.4 (- 3.8)
    September Start/End: 141.2 lbs (- 5.2)
    October Start/End: 141.2 / 138.4 (-2.8)
    November Start/End: 138.4 / 138.8 (+0.4)
    December Start/End: 138.8 / 139.6 (+0.8)

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 61 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Handymen were off today because I traveled to out-of-town dentist for a cleaning.

01/27.…..196.8…..(Trend Weight 194.0)…… After travel weight. 3 meals instead of 2.

01/28.…..196.4…..(Trend Weight 194.2)…… A small drop reinforcing the knowledge that it sure comes on faster than it drops off!

01/29.…..195.2…..(Trend Weight 194.3)…… Better choices and no grazing between meals helped with this drop. I’ve just got to work on the meal quantities.

    01/30.…..xxxxx…..(Trend Weight xxxxx)……
    01/31.…..xxxxx…..(Trend Weight xxxxx)……

    Hi. I am Dawn. 61yrs, 5'2"

1/4 - 136.4 - Burned more calories than I ate yesterday with a beautiful big dump of snow to shovel, plus skating. Clear and blue this morning, hoping to be able to grab a quick cross-country ski today after work before it gets dark.

1/28 - 137.0 - Having pizza and wings (and Prosecco) tonight with a friend. Hoping that skating this morning before work will help to mitigate that.
1/29 - 137.8 - Kept pizza to 2 slices. I will try to get extra workouts in today, and some walks.

1/12 - 140.8 (140.9 trend) - thought I did well last night. Mexican restaurant, no chips or alcohol and still up. Did get a workout in. First of the year. Not doing as well there as I had planned.
1/13 - 140.6 (140.9) - incident occurred last night that kicked in my motivation. Shed a few tears and then packed my food for the next day with a renewed determination. Have not been tracking as I should and it is seen in the numbers. Today is a new day!

1/24 - 142.8 (141.3) - should not have weighed. Thought I did well over the weekend but obviously not so. I really need to weigh on the weekends. It helps me keep in check. A lot of dedication needed this week
1/25 - 141.0 (141.2) - Better. Yesterday was the first day in months that I completely logged a day.
1/26 - 141.0 (141.2) - was hoping for a little drop. Ate well and moved more yesterday
1/27 - 141.6 (141.3) - left work early yesterday feeling horrible. Strep and flu test came back negative, waiting on covid results and hoping that is negative as well. Need to get back to work
1/28 - 140.2 (141.1) - still waiting for results, but feeling better. Hoping it is just a bad head cold
1/29 - 138.8 (140.8) - covid test came back positive. Second time. Today has been the worst day so far. Extreme fatigue and nausea. Only benefit is the scale is going down. Basically just eating to calm stomach.
