Katia-while your bone density day was yesterday, I am sitting here this morning after taking my alondrate sodium and am drinking water looking forward to coffee in 30 minutes.

    Minicooper-good update on your mom.

Barbie-good to hear you have had improvement from alondrate sodium. I have had one friend who was on it and the only thing she has told me is she couldn’t tolerate it and had to switch to shots.

Debbie-I think both cats are good looking. Actually, I have always preferred the less fluffy varieties. Good thing we have all different sorts of cats from which to chose!

Michelle NC-sorry you had to put Clyde down but it sounds like the right choice.

Off to shower then time for coffee and get ready for work.

    Take care all,

    Ginny in Ohio

    Accountability:
Chose well: Joe, wii balance games, readings, BP, osteo back, livestream church, CI<CIO, CI<250<CO, mfp50+,
    Bonus: 37 mins grooming Tumble,
    Workin’ on it: 143.1, H20x6, active 3.28
    Happier January 2022
30: See how many people you can smile at today: Joe ;)
31: Write down your hopes and plans for the future: maybe that’s why I’m so blah, no future hopes and plans. Give this some thought.

    Happy Birthday Sue!
Heather, con VERY grats! That evening dress will just slink right on.
Ginny “…not closing any doors.” Wise words those.
Machka ditto Ginny’s concern about your neck. I’d be afraid to ride if I couldn’t turn my head to check for traffic etc. your catio and garden.
Margaret congrats on the favorable bone density test.
Carol “…not willing to do the work” That was me yesterday. In my head I know that being active makes me feel better, but sometimes my lazy butt wins, and then I feel like k-rap.
Carla so glad to hear Harley made your mom laugh and that she’s in fine spirits. Must be a tremendous relief.
Allie irish butter on English muffin with tea, yum!
Katla fingers X’d for breeder visit.
Lisa was it a bop or a pat? I’d interpret a pat as “hey, are you ok?” and a bop as “get up off your butt and feed me” ;)
Debbie like you, my weight at 145 ish is way too much for my 4’11” frame, BUT I’m grateful that mfp helped me take 20 pounds off when I first started, years and years ago. 165 was just plain awful. Miso and Tonashi’s champagne color and loving pose. Those are some very very very lucky cats. Bravissima.
Barbie (and Katla and Ginny) Saturday is my alendronate day. I usually use the time before tea for starting laundry, emptying wastebaskets and sometimes sitting a bit with Joe. Density improves a little every year.
Rebecca that cat has an ominous look!
    Michele ((hugs)) ((hugs))
Suebdew  your bilingual pup story.

Karen, Flea, Evelyn good to see you all popping in.

    Joe’s up, time to scoot!

    Lighter, lovelies!
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD
    2022: Be still and listen.

(((Michele))) I am so sorry for your loss.

I am also sorry you had to go through the dead battery when this happened. When my mom broke her hip when she was staying with us right when DH got to the hospital his battery died. We drove her to it because we knew she was hurt just didn't know how bad. When the situation is bad enough you do not want a car issue to deal with on top of it. Been there. From some reason DH neglects his car except for oil changes until it breaks down.

Perhaps that is why I have a new battery scheduled to be put in tomorrow along with fluid changes. My battery in my car is five years old (I do need to remind them I need the battery that works with auto stop) and we have had super cold winters the last few years. I would rather be safe than have to call AAA especially with the cold we have been having.

Ohhhhh..... <3 Michele :'( I am so very sorry about Clyde. That just breaks my heart.
I'm loving all the puppy and kitty pix.
I wish we could have kitties, but my allergies won't allow for that. YIKES! There are some dogs that I can't even be around. But the daily pictures make me smile!

Michele ~ So sorry about Clyde. My beloved Siamese hid under the bed and let us know it was time to go. I felt so bad because right before that she had been rubbing/loving my legs in the kitchen and I was inpatient with her because I had just gotten home from work and was trying to get dinner ready. I have felt guilty ever since. She got me through some very bad times during my marriage and was such a comfort.

Debbie ~ I love all your cats.

I was signed up to get a bone density test over a year ago but never went in for it. Guess I should but don't remember anyone in my family ever having broken bones.

Just got back from the emergency vet. We put Clyde down. His blood was life-threatenly low iron. He just couldn't get oxygen. At first they were going to let us in to say "goodbye" in case he didn't make it thru the night. The prognosis wasn't good at all, so Vince made the decision to put him down. He couldn't stand.

Jess is at NC State tomorrow so we're not going to tell her until after all her interviews. Should she call, Vince will be "at Lowe's Hardware" or getting cat food Anything so that he doesn't have to talk to her because he knows he'd break down

Right now I'm having a bit of a pity party. But I'm having Green Pea Crisps. At least it isn't cookies or brownies

We come out of the vet place and the battery on the car is dead. I think I know what caused this. But I know that Vince doesn't like to be wrong so I'm not going to bother saying anything. He likes his music and he put the car on auxiliary to listen to the radio. I bet when we went in to see Clyde, he left the radio on and that drained the battery. He was bound and determined to call AAA. Then I remembered that I really wanted to get their business card to call the cremation place so I went in to get it and mentioned that the battery is dead. One lady called her husband who was right there and he gave us a jump start.

    Green Pea Crisps gone.

Beth good luck with your PT. It's so hard starting over, but that's part of being strong.

I'm trying for 250 calories of exercise but it's not adding up yet. My yoga video which I had always counted as 30 mins turned out to be 16 mins today. Then when I was getting ready, a migraine messed up my vision. So I did the walking first, and I still have to do the yoga video twice this afternoon. But I am determined to get it done!

DH is getting ready for a video chat with his doctor. I plan to eavesdrop.

Later on I hope to be in touch with the puppy breeder recommended by our veterinarian’s office. Keeping my fingers crossed for a positive meeting, by telephone or in person.

(((Michele))) - I am so sorry for the loss of your kitty. Our fur babies are so important in our lives. We had a special kitty many years ago. She disappeared. The day we moved a neighbor next door told us that a man across the street was a cat poisoner. We had one other cat, a manx. We haven’t had another cat since then. It hurts to lose a furbaby. ❤️💔

Thanks- all the cats look different and all have really different personalities-
No, litter boxes are not fun but when we do them so often(they are in my bathroom so every time I go in or my dh walks past, we just scoop them so they aren't too bad)

I need to ask my doctor again about getting the bone density test done. I asked her a few years ago and they wouldn't do it because I was too young- even with family history(dad had/mom has osteo, dad's was actually worse than mom's). Turning 60 soon so need to see if they will do one now.

    Your pup was so cute!!!
Miss having our dog, dh and son have talked about getting another dog but now that we have the girlfriends cats along with ours, I told them NO, not adding a dog to all the cats.

So many beautiful cats photos!!! This was Charlie, a cat at our clothing optional resort, that though taken care by a couple full time residents there, he was everyone's cat. If he chose your lounge chair to nap at, well you just had to make room. Many evenings petting him as we sat in the hot tub. Once he took hold of my hand, biting softly, I felt honored!!

The second is the view I see when the ferry pulls into the dock. "

Thanks for the maps, Rebecca. It really helps to picture where you are. <3 Looks wonderful.

I had such a lot of trauma when I was a child because my mother neglected our animals (see my memoir, THEREFORE I AM) that it stopped me wanting to have an animal as an adult. Far too much grief. :'(
I also value my freedom far too highly now. I don't even have indoor plants because I do not want the responsibility. I hate caretaking.

My only pet is DH and sometimes he is too much trouble. :p:p

But I sympathise with your sadness, Michele. <3

Yay! I made my 250 calories! I did 3 min elliptical, 10 min marching, 20 min walking, and then did the yoga video twice. Now to see if I can maintain the 1100 calories eaten limit. So far so good.

I have always wanted to see that part of the world - Seattle to Vancouver. It looks gorgeous!

Well, the MS 2022 app is now open, so the donation collection can now officially begin. I will b riding virtually this year so we can go to Alaska in may rather than September. I can now start tracking my virtual miles.

Thanks ladies for the birthday wishes. DD took me to an Irish pub for dinner yesterday. I like fish and she does not so I was able to have fish and chips while she had a hamburger. Very good food. We do not eat out much so it was a nice treat. DSis and DB have called. Good to talk with them.

Michelle - so sorry about Clyde.

Katla - thinking good thoughts for you and a puppy.
