Round 181
March 18 - March 27, 2022

Please join us starting on 3/18, for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 181!

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

@musicsax I can’t post ANY pictures. They want me to delete my cache/history to POSSIBLY fix the problem and since I have MANY pages opened, I won’t do that.

@IsMollyReallyHungry Since I can post pix anywhere/everywhere else I’ve tried, I don’t think my phone is the issue. I think it’s MFP.

Did anyone else notice that they have made another change and it now says “Replies” under the initial post and at the top of every following page? I wonder why that’s necessary.

No I don't have the "replies" button on either my laptop or 'phone; is it just you because you have set it up? Or is it just you cuz they have a problem with you? Lol, no offence intended :D .

I'm just going to try to insert a picture as a test.

Yes hydrangea, I'd like to say they are in my garden as they are a beautiful colour, but the Ph level in the soil is not right for blue hydrangeas; I planted some last spring and it wasn't long before the flowers turned pink!! The photo' was taken whilst on holiday a couple of years ago (pre-Covid!).

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

I'm back on MFP after gaining about 40 lbs (it's been an awful couple of years hasn't it?). I remember joining these 10-day rounds when I was on here previously, glad to see they are still being hosted!

@TerriRichardson112 I’m sorry you are having the same problem. Did you report it to MFP tech support?

Thank YOU everyone! I seem to get frustrated more these days. Don’t know if it’s advancing age (I don’t feel “elderly”) or if it’s the COVID crazies.

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 4.5 years with amazing results!

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
