I'm new to My Fitness Pal - I start week 2 tomorrow. I scanned the thread for this round and would like to join the one that starts tomorrow. What's the easiest way to find the new thread? (edited: never mind, I read the next to last page and found it!)

oh - and what's the "Spoiler" thing all about?

@smoda61 That almond cheesecake cone sounds divine though! I hope the low blood pressure issues get figured out for you.

The cone thing was delicious though the overall flavor would be better as a tube. At the open end there was too much filling comparatively. But that is me being picky. BP is perfect today. Not sure what that was all about. Thanks for checking in!

Welcome, Lisa Marie. Just look for the Round 182 in the Challenge Category. We'll be starting up there tomorrow.

The spoiler is a place to shrink down all of your stats. I've never used it so I'm not sure how, but others will be happy to explain how it works.

    So glad you're here!!

    Round 181 SW= 151.8 EW= 148.8 AW= 150.19 not unexpected since at dd's

My goal each round is to have my AW lower than the round before (need to be more consistent with that)
    3-11= 148.6 (t= 148.8)
    3-12= 148.4 (t= 148.7)
DNW after that until 3-21 because at dd's house & no access to a scale

    on to a new round...
    3-18= DNW
    3-19= DNW
    3-20= DNW
3-21= 151.8 (t= 149.8) probably should have held off weighing for a few days to get a weeks worth of not enough walking, not enough water, a little too much food daily, a 7 hr car ride, not much TMI, etc out of my system. I know I did not eat 10,000 calories over maintenance to gain 3# of fat, so will just wait until it all clears out to see where I am really at. Also last round I was trying to eliminate dairy to see how it affects me and I didn't follow this when I was gone, so starting that again.
    3-22= 151.4 (t= 150)
    3-23= 150.6 (t= 150.1)
    3-24= 149.4 (t= 150)
    3-25= 149.4 (t= 149.9)
    3-26= 149.2 (t= 149.9}
    3-27= 148.8 (t= 149.8)

I've obviously used spoiler, lol. (see above) If there is info you want, but don't want the long text, you do this: put a [ ]and write spoiler in the middle of them and do the same at the end, but put a /in front of the word spoiler there. Hope this works for you, not sure I am explaining it well.

I have about 28 kg to lose. I use measurements (centimeters) because they aren't affected by salt intake. My weight has been at this value for about 3 months, let's see if I can finally start losing fat.

    18th eating under maintenance, running/walking minutes 1r-1w-1r-1w-1r
    107.0 104.0 108.0 64.0 52.0 60.5 49.0 108.5 106.0 107.5

bolded numbers are having lost 0.5 cm since 8th March

plugging these numbers into my spreadsheet I get a trendline of 86.5 down to 86.1 cm. If you're wondering how that was calculated, a single column is made, copying left to right and then down one row from the above table and repeating. Each table cell is adjusted so that if the top row of each column was a different number but each column had identical numbers, then the long single column would have identical numbers equal to the average of all the numbers in the table. I use this method because Excel trendline uses least squares, whereas least absolute numbers would be better.

How did this round go? Unfortunately I'm in a pattern of lose a round, gain a round. This round I lost a lot, probably because in the previous round I gained. I overate 3 days this round, compared to my 'ideal' intake amount. I'm having trouble running, only running for one day. Same with sugar, only managed two days without sugary food. The scale showed I lost 900 grams but I'm pretty sure it's about 200-400 grams of fat lost.

54yo woman. 5'7" In Haifa, Israel for a while.

Recent High Weight: 163 lbs. (Sept. 21)
    SW round 181: 158.1
    GW round 181: < 158.1

I gained 0.2 in round 181. I'd like to get that down this round.

3.18 158.1 Was hungry and ate a lot yesterday; didn't finish logging my calories. Didn't get in my steps either. But I'm off for a short jog this morning.
3.19 158.1 Ate at a restaurant last night, but I think I ate OK. Today, I ate a lot of bread and didn't get in my steps. Not logging. . . .
3.20 158.1 Went for a 3 mile jog in the morning. Ate mindfully but didn't log.
3.21 157.4 Encouraged to see a drop this morning! I hope it' real. Will endeavor to log today and get in my steps.
3.22 158.1 Went for a 2.5 mile jog along the oceanside. Logged all my food and ate within points.
3.23 158.1 Did not get in significant exercise; it was rainy today. Logged food -- until dinner. Ate a lot of hubby's yummy chickpea and spinach pasta for dinner.
3.24 157.6 Surprised to see a drop. It might not be real. Mouth was dry last night - I need to drink more water. Another rainy day.
3.25 157.6 Hmm..... Happy the drop has stayed. I ate dessert last night, a slice of a chocolate pastry + 2 chocolates. Went for a short jog first thing this morning. We're eating at restaurants the next 2 nights, so. . . .. We shall see.
3.26 158.3 Tour in Jerusalem; did a lot of walking - but did a lot of eating as well. Ate this large lovely circle bread, precursor to a bagel?
3.27 158.3 Jogged 3.5 miles in the morning; ate a lot. Not logging food. . .

@enlightenme3 - share thoughts on the shingles shot? I think I am doing it in May when I get back home. I have been hoping to do it 2 years ago, then COVID and all those vaccinations caused me to put it off. DH and I are both 60.

Sorry @SModa61 I ddn't see your question until now. I've only had my first shot and it was fine. I was a little lethargic and achy the next day, but not like when I got my covid shots and had a slight fever and pretty much in bed for the day. My husband had it a few years ago and it knocked him out for a day or two. However, he had absolutely no reaction to any of his 3 covid vaccinations - so go figure. Everyone has told me that even with severe reactions to the shingles vaccination, it is 1000 times preferable than getting shingles itself.

I’ve had the 2 shingles shots..don’t remember any reaction other than a sore arm.
