Greetings ~ Returning to MFP after eight years. Am now at 61 years, 5’7” and have been facilitating a Friends and Family group weight loss weekly email but am the only one Gaining weight throughout the last 37 weeks and counting! Was at 212 a few years ago, then got an active job for a year and melted down to a firmer 165. Several months ago I changed jobs so 15 pounds has crept back while my self-discipline has almost disappeared … along with my new wardrobe being relegated to the back of my closet … so sad! I’m up for the challenge, using the food diary and excited to turn this barge around
If I can drop 1 - 1.5 lbs per week that would be amazing ...

Hi! I'm Jamie. I've been a part of MFP off and on since 2014. When I originally started MFP I was 140, wanting to get down to 130. Long story short, I hurt my ankle, started drinking a lot because I was depressed and ended up at my highest weight of 215 in January 2021.
Since then, I gave up alcohol and have been tracking my calories again. I'm inching closer to my goal of 140, which ironically is the weight I began MFP at when I thought I was fat. Hahahaha. Ugh. It's funny, but it's not.
Anyhow, I"m on the last leg of my weight loss goal, having already lost 57.2 pounds and almost 27% of my body weight.
I would love to be at 140 by the end of June, but would be happy if I just make it to 145-149. 149 would put me back in the "normal" BMI range for the first time in 8 years, so I consider that a win, especially since I started in the Obese Class 2 category in January 2021.

Well I have had a great start. Down 4.2lb. Now I know that is a one off as I have never lost that much before in one week. But it is a great start and a good motivator. I hope I keep it off now! Hope everyone else is doing well.
