Heather - Great photo.
Lisa - I don’t like doing things that make me feel dirty either.
Rebecca - I can’t believe Athena is 3 already.
Karen - I’m going to see if I can sign up for that study here in Canada.
Allie - I just had a memory pop up on Facebook of my granddaughter when she was young. She was wearing a teething necklace. My daughter used them on both of her kids and they never had a problem with teething. Might be something to try.
Had ceramics tonight, I started a piece of the Last Supper last week, I worked on it some tonight, but put it aside to start my gnome. The last supper is very detailed and confusing. I may have taken on more than I should have.
I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday. I’m looking forward to the weekend.

I love getting dirty😉💞5

Vicki - are you affected by the big storm on the plains? Sioux Falls where I moved from got hit really bad. The pictures of the wall clouds are downright scary.
I am happy to be in WA with rain and very small hail. I have been cutting down blackberry vines and throwing them into the goat pen. They love them. Wish I could just turn them out and let them eat at will but they would eat lots of other things too that I would rather they didn't like the blueberries and branches off the apple tree.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA4 -

I was thinking about being bored/boredom lately.
I never feel bored. I'm not sure what would have to happen for me to feel bored.
But ...
Back in January, I left a quiet job with quarterly deadlines and a few tasks in between. I wasn't bored but did feel that my skills could be used elsewhere. I went to a job that is loud and busy all the time with a steady stream of tasks coming in all day long via phone and email.
At the same time, one of the ladies in my current area (the loud, busy environment) left it and went to a project officer position in a quiet office where they worked on their part of the project and made their way to a goal.
She commented several times that she was So Bored over there and hated the quietness. Although she was supposed to be there a year, she lasted 4 months and came back to the loud, busy environment.
Meanwhile, in a few weeks I move to my next job which looks like it could very well be in a quiet office where we work on our parts of the projects and make our way to goals. I am looking forward to leaving the loud, busy environment and going into a quiet, slower paced environment again.
Probably the closest I've come to being bored is dealing with the steady stream of tasks coming in all day long via phone and email in the loud and busy environment.
A smaller example has come up with me being on the interview panel. I have found that rather interesting and have enjoyed the quiet. But each time I've returned to the loud and busy environment, I'm met with questions about whether or not I found doing the interview panel thing boring.
So I've been thinking about it and have found it interesting that what one person finds comfortable bores another and vice versa.
I've also found it interesting that the closest I've come to boredom is a loud, busy environment ... the type of environment which is often "advertised" as being an exciting environment.
Do you get bored? What do you find boring?

Morning ladies
Im here with Miles and i can hold him..i will get my hand looked at if I can afterwards,im guessing if anything could be a hairline fracture...
Going to take Carmine to school and come back3 -
Machka - I don’t know if I would call it boredom but I find repetitive tasks unchallenging. I know the job needs to be done, but I like a challenge. Now that the payroll issues are mostly sorted, I’m finding my regular tasks “boring” or unchallenging.
In my personal life, I find myself bored a lot. I have a lot I want to do, but since a lot of it creates a mess I tend to not do any of it and I sit and watch tv which I find boring. I need to get out of that habit.

Good morning! I was using Lose It! for awhile, but the community aspect is a bit pitiful. MFP seems much closer to the old SparkPeople app.0

A brochure for one of my favourite clothes companies arrived yesterday. I hardly ever buy clothes, but I saw a dress that I thought would be perfect for informal evenings on the cruise. I would need to wear a cardigan with it, or shrug.
It was a bit expensive for me, but I mentioned it at breakfast and showed DH. He said I deserved a treat and said I could order it from the joint account.
So I have!!!

Welcome to everyone who's new!
Kylia - Happy birthday to your granddaughter! They grow so dang fast...
Machka - Like you, I don't get bored. I may have when I was young, late teens and early 20s, perhaps, but my memory isn't filling in any examples, so either I didn't get bored much or I just don't remember it. There's a fair chance I simply went to sleep. I can sleep almost anywhere.
Tracey - Sounds like me not wanting to mow! I actually love riding the zero-turn mower, it's fun, but I do get dirty, and like you, just not fond of that. I also agree with the reluctance to start a craft project. For everything I make, there's a mess to get started, and a mess to clean up after, and I just get lazy. I'd much rather read a book.
Okey-dokey, I've procrastinated long enough. I need to drive to Walmart and get a few things.
Later, y'all,
Love,

I learned not to be bored early in life.
As a young girl, if I said to my mother, "I'm bored" ... I would immediately have a number of cleaning tasks to do!!
So, at a very early age, I developed my first list of things to do ... and was never bored again!
As for getting dirty ... I don't mind.
A favourite photo of me ... changing a tyre by the side of the road in the middle of a 1200 km bicycle ride through Kansas.

Michele ~ Your gator among the rocks looks great as does your gnome. For some reason, I thought your BK job was very close to your house, but, 6 miles seems far to go.
I don't like to feel hot and sweaty. Makes me want to take a shower and put on clean clothes.
Got my hearing aids yesterday! Wow! They make everything louder. I usually keep the volume on the tv anywhere from 24 to 33. Now, I can keep it down to 11 or a bit more.

I am watching the EuroVision Song Contest Semi-finals.
When I’m bored I tend to nod off 😝 I’m nodding off!!!2 -
Good morning ladies!
I used to read when I got bored. Now I play solitaire or practice my languages. Now I get bored when I'm waiting for things like time to cook dinner or time to eat lunch.
My new tires are being put on my car today. Yay! They may feel stiff at first, but they will be much safer. So my main task now is to wait for a phone call when that is done.
Not much else going on, and it's too early for lunch. I could play solitaire lol! I should really change clothes and go do yoga and walking. Or a little of both.

Between the time I arrive home from work and when my husband serves dinner I like to do non-computer things like weeding the garden, colouring or more recently, walking the cat.
Walking the cat involves a lot of standing in the dark while he sits near a gate waiting for a glimpse of a neighbour cat.
It could look like a boring thing to do but I like it. It's a relief to just stand in the dark and quiet outside. It also gives me some time to think.

My brother is coming to visit this weekend from Arizona! I haven’t seen him since we drove out west together in 2017. Too long!
He is bringing his camper and we have a spot saved for him. I’m excited!

Thank you, dear heart. Pain and weakness are such a thief of joy! I did not know how unwell I was until I started feeling well again. I am so grateful to you and the others who reached back when I cried, and held me up, and this entire group. I am truly blessed to have you in my life.
Walmart done - had hoped to get my hair cut as it's driving me around the bend, but it didn't work out. Back home in the AC. Went straight from having the heat on to having the air conditioning on. Ah well, there are worse things. At least I don't have to wear a baseball cap in the house - Egg doesn't care how my hair looks. Well, if she does, she doesn't say anything...
Later y'all,
Love,
Lisa

I don't think I've been bored since I learned to read6

I did my yoga for sensitive knees video and then walked 30 mins. Yay!
And then I weighed myself- lost 1.2 pounds last week! Yay! I made it past the mother's day candy with a loss!

Thank You ... for the sweet words regarding my early years artwork ... I did all of those over 40+ years ago! If I ever get the opportunity, I would like to take watercolor classes. I think that might be my favorite medium. Rebecca .. I have seen your sister's work before and think it's beautiful ...Karen's brother's work is also great!
Lisa ... my nephew (age 24) was just diagnosed with ulcerative colitis ... he is in misery at the moment. Hoping they can find the things that tame this beast.
I don't know that I get bored as much as I get lazy ...
Beautiful day today and we're spending most of it outside. My magnolia is done blooming and now both the crab apples and fruit apple trees are bursting with flowers! Better yet, I see bees!

Rebecca-- I bet Athenas loved the video. Great news on the doctor reports. Thanks for sharing the pictures of Athenas birthday. Such a happy girl.
Heather-- Love the picture of you on the beach.
Lisa--I so understand the I don't want to get dirty thing. On my days off I do all my cleaning before I shower and get dressed, so I am clean the rest of the day. Some days it takes me most the day and I don't get dressed until late afternoon.
Michele--I love your smurfette and alligator. The alligator looks so real.
Sue--So far we have been lucky and just on the edge of these storms. Lots of wind and blown down trees and power lines.
RVRita--Hope your visit with your brother goes well.
The funeral yesterday for my Aunt was very nice. She had 6 children and has many grand, great and great-great grand children. Family filled the little church. Could tell the pastor knew her and I think that is always nice. He did say something I had never thought about before. That the day she passed was her birth into heaven day. What an interesting way to look at her passing.
Gave blood at the Red Cross blood drive here at the hospital this morning. Was glad I could give as my count was 13.1. Only thing is it takes longer to sign in and get hooked up than to give the blood. Any way got that done and signed up for the next one in July.
Have a 3 day weekend coming up as DH and I are going to Kansas City to a NASCAR race. Something we have talked about, but never did. Well got our tickets and we leave tomorrow after our DGD's dance show and will come back on Monday. Looking forward to getting away, just the 2 of us.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE8 -
Tracey- no reason for you to be talked to like that.
I had a big issue with my dh on Mother's day too. Just another part of the non-stop drama that day.
The best parts of my day was- yeah- I got over 14,000 steps in(trying to walk off the emotions of the day-three major dramas).
My son and my former hubby both wished me Happy Mother's Day.
Dh didn't- doesn't do anything for me because , in his words, I am not his mother. Has been that way for a few years. Now that son is old enough to do it.
Kind of shut down this past week because of all of it so haven't posted anything here- did read some but need to catch up.
Debbie6 -
Vicki - So glad you are having time away. So good for us!
Kinda in a lull before my brother's party tomorrow. My son is picking me up at 17.00 and then a drive of around 105 mins to get there. Then a short walk. I've more or less decided on my 'colourful ' outfit. I want to be comfortable in the car, and walking, so nothing fancy. I've told my son to bring a backup gluten free snack as the food is only nibbles.
The weather forecast is for heavy rain on the drive home! I will sit in the back . I've downloaded tv on my phone if needed for my nerves.
Will, spend tomorrow bathing and titivating, as DH is lunching with his younger daughter. Local Thai. I would have gone, but I can’t do two hard socialisings in one day! I have promised Edie I will copy some photos of my Amazon adventure in 2001 for her school project. Certainly brings back memories!
