    Pip—HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Can you order online and pick up? This is what I do now, and it has made all the difference.

    Hugs!
    Congratulations!
    Safe travels!

Rainy/stormy here today. I had needed to water my houseplants that I put outside yesterday. I put them out in the rain last night. Figured rain water was good for them.

Kylia thank you one less repair.

Lanette I am on your page about vaccines for dogs. I also feel this way about flea and tick meds. I am now using essential oils on Drew.

    (((Tracey))) (((Kaitlyn)))

    Happy Birthday :flowerforyou:

A question ... aren't essential oils poisonous for pets?

I'm sure I read that about cats and essential oils ... especially lavender.

    M in Oz

    https://animalpoisons.com.au/news/essential-oils-and-pets
"Exposure to essential oils can result in varying symptoms ranging from drooling and vomiting to coma, seizures, and liver injury. "

    https://www.abc.net.au/everyday/are-your-essential-oils-and-diffusers-hurting-your-pet/100107686
""When a pet does come in due to an essential oil exposure the clinical effects are often serious and require hospitalisation and treatment," says Nick Merwood, Poisons Specialist from the Animal Poisons Helpline."

"Dr Hoolahan says that some of the more common essential oils best avoided around all domestic pets include:

    Clove
    Eucalyptus
    Geranium
    Pennyroyal
    Tea Tree
    Thyme
    Cinnamon

"[But] like with people, all pets are different — toxicity can also be species dependant," she adds."

The article goes on to list the essential oils which are toxic to cats (including lavender), dogs and birds including a bit of discussion about them.

I wouldn't want something to happen to Drew.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. My daughter is heartbroken and not feeling well. She is resting though and her DH is right by her side.
I checked in with his Mom to see how he is doing and she said he is being stoic but really hurting.

Kim - It’s a shame your Mother criticizes. I hope when she moves closer she stops that.

Rebecca - I would struggle with the dog hair too, but put up with it to see my kids.
I used all of my berry picking money to spend time at the pool and buy clothes. That was the summer I met my husband, it was money well spent I guess.

Heather - that is my problem with walking too. It’s taken me a long time, but I found one therapist that told me to walk with my belly sucked in. It automatically straightens your posture and makes you walk properly. Of course, you don’t hold your breath you still have to breathe.

My DH has to think things are his idea too. Then he tells me that I make all of the decisions. It’s infuriating.

Lisa - Thank you. I have talked to her today via text only. She has been napping on and off and sending a text when she wants to say something. She said she is trying to remember that she knows lots of people that have gone on to have healthy happy babies and it sucks right now but they will grieve and get through it. I have such a strong girl.

Katla - yes this would have been her first. They needed assistance getting there so it’s not as easy trying again, but they will be when she is given permission to do so.

Rita - that’s hilarious, if I was on the inside I would be screaming. Lol

Flea - too bad it couldn’t take the chin hairs first. They sure are stubborn.

Pip - Happy Birthday! I was always told those things come in 3’s I think you’re done for a while.

Michele - when I miscarried years ago, that was the problem I was A- and DH was A+. They gave me a shot and next time was no issue. Both of my girls are A+

Kylia - I agree with you. It’s a great way to get business. Even if they don’t have a huge repair, they probably recommend you die to that customer service.

Their bed was awful with flannel sheets and dog hair everywhere. You'd think with your parents sleeping in your bed, they would've changed the sheets but no. It just seemed rude to actually say to them, "your sheets are dirty). It seems easier to not put ourselves in that, and stay at hotels when we visit. They have an air mattress that sets up fairly quickly, which I use, but husband refuses. On the flipside, they have their dogs now, so they can't leave them, to drive the long drive to see us. So that's pretty much on us. Though we do rent and technically we can't have pets, who would tell the management company if we did have them visit? It isn't like they check up on the place. If it was just me here, I would invite them AND their two dogs! They would just bring their air mattress and camp in all this bare space in this house.🙃💖

My DS called yesterday all excited because his 13 yo DS called him asking advice about girls. Lol I was happy for both of them. It really helped my DS’s attitude ( couldn’t figure out how to spell morale correctly. Nothing looked right!🤪 )

Off today so going to try and catch up reading here while I have my tea- Want to do a little more work in my garden(plant some ginger and more dill) and then possible work on the catio with dh-not sure if he wants to work on it today or not. He worked last night so is sleeping now.
Weather was 90 yesterday and a high of 65 today.

Lisa- I used to sit like that all the time. Can't any more. My hip and knee start hurting really bad.
I agree, nothing better for de-stressing than a purring cat. I actually have that sound on my sound machine. Only one that works for me.
Now if we could make sure the pee cat is done peeing on my side of the bed. The calming chews worked a few days but now won't eat them. His sister ate it today(mixed in canned food). Still spraying the Stop Spray on my blanket every time I go in the room. Didn't try the infuser because I don't think it will work. The window in the bedroom is open 24/7 so they can get into the catio- any scent would go right out the window.

Tracey- I am so sorry for your families loss.

edit- dh is going out with a friend for lunch and ?? so if we work on the catio, it won't be until later this evening.
I have time to work in the garden, dead head my roses in front and catch up on some computer work.

Katla ~ I know that you are really worried about your husband's health. Please know that we are all thinking of YOU as you go through this troubling time.

Barbie ~ I am glad that you husband is getting the treatment he needs for his heart condition and hope that you will be able to get the meds he needs and a price y'all can afford.

Had the Zoom with my girlfriends. One of them is in Cyprus, so she wasn't there. We talked a lot all about our lost babies. 💔 I started it all, but we learnt new things about each other. b]i]Tracey[/i[/b they are never forgotten. <3

Our Cyprus friend joined in on WhatsApp for sorting out the next Zoom date. Took ages! :o
We eventually settled on a date just before I go on my cruise.

Our old town of Whitstable, where we lived for a few years, has had a terrible fire in the harbour. It was close to our hearts. On the news. A beautiful place. I hope it will be restored. Unique. :'(

Going to watch our Nordic Murders tonight. It's in German and set on the North Sea area of Germany, adjoining Poland. More 4. Love it.

Didn't get a chance to get online yesterday before the neighbor's idiots repaving his driveway cut the cable/internet line! So much fun! So I'm doing a lot of catching up today... Please forgive if I don't comment on everything.

OH NO......... Tracey... my sweet, sweet love. I am so sorry for you and Kaitlyn and your whole family. Saying an extra prayer for you right now. We've been there too. Heartwrenching.

Oh man, Lanette, I feel for you! Those DHs can be so ANNOYING when they want to be. God Bless you sweetie. Holding you in my heart.

I was thinking the same thing Karen! Happy Birthday yesterday Pip! (sorry I missed it!)

OMGosh! The hair discussion is making me giggle! My legs are so gawd-awful, I really don't let anyone see them "nakey" even in the dregs of summer, but I haven't shaved in years. I used to have awful leg hair and I did shave, but I don't wear sleeveless tops and when I do go into a pool, I just don't care who sees. I use soap and water and talc too, M.

PRAYERS FOR TEXAS and the rest of our God-forsaken world!

    Carla, in MN ... OUT!

Without knowing anything about it, there is a very high likelihood that it is a scam. If you tell me a bit more about it (even the number they are calling from), I can give you a better answer.

    Hello, all,

The rain has also kept my cranky kitty inside--this morning, she was itching to knock something off my desk, and I told her not to get on the desk at all. The first was her response, "I'm not on your desk, I'm just touching it!" and the second was after I turned my head to look at my monitor:

I love Egg. I love cats in general. They make me laugh. Probably because I can relate to them.

I love ordering and picking up. However, I hate all the bags they use and so far, there is no way to tell them I don't want bags (paper or plastic). I'd prefer if they just put everything loose in the trunk. I asked them to take it out of the bags one time and she did. Then I asked what they do with the bags. She said they are required by law to throw them away; they cannot reuse them. That is ludicrous.

Worked, then went to Aldi then WalMart to get the things that Aldi didn’t have. Then got gas. Honestly, I don’t even know what the price was. For 7 gallons it was something like $30, that’s all I know. Need the gas so why cry over the price? I’ll probably go to Food Lion tomorrow since it’s on the way home from work and they have spare ribs on sale. I’ll make them for Vince. I’m also hoping to go to the gym after the soup kitchen tomorrow

Kylia – in the short term, your hubby may be losing business. But to be honest, people will return and give you MORE business because they feel comfortable that you aren’t going to take them to the cleaners. Also, they’re more likely to recommend you to their friends, thereby INCREASING your profits. Does your dh not realize this?

Tracey – yea, I got the RhoGam shot for the blood factor, too.

Very cloudy here. I really should wash the windows downstairs. Part of me wants to go for a walk, but I probably should do the windows

Debbie – you’re right, with an open window any effect from a diffuser would go right out. We found that out in FL. We used one, no problem until one day it was real nice and we had the door open. That day we had problems and I’m sure it was because the effect of the diffuser went out the door

Really need to sort the laundry I did yesterday because my other BK shirt is in there and I’ll need it for tomorrow. Afterwards will work on the windows.

Oh, there’s a mandatory meeting at BK on the 5th, only I won’t be there. I talked to one of the managers and asked if it affected me since I won’t be there. She was a bit surprised until I reminded her that I’ll be in DE. She said all that it is is that they want us to wear a nametag (that’s good for me since I’m so bad with names) and a hat. I remember when I first was hired they gave me this visor-type hat. It never stayed on my head. I saw that practically no one else wore one so I haven’t worn mine. I expect I’ll get another one, and I’ll ask for one of the baseball-cap type ones.

Tina — I always hang up on strangers and scammers. I like my privacy. I am happy to chat with my family, personal friends, and near neighbors.
