Got the first photos from Greece. All look very happy and clutching water bottles. Very warm there. I see my son and DDIL managed to get a bike ride in. I should hope so, after carting a huge great bike box on the plane!
Missing them already.

Crazy morning. I did my yoga, then the cleaning ladies came. Apparently my dad fell while letting them in the door. I was in the basement and no one told me until afterwards. Mom and I have her medical appointment, dad had planned to go out to lunch (not driving) and there are bad storms coming.
My dad went in the shower before I could see him. So there's no telling if he is hurt or not. Seems like he would be at least bruised. So I am a nervous wreck waiting to see the damage.

Of course my dad says he is fine. He landed on his butt on the concrete porch but he says his tailbone is fine. He bumped his head but there is no blood. So maybe he is okay.

OMGosh... Lisa, I had to give you a hug after reading your spoiler.
Your kitty wanted to make me LAUGH OUT LOUD! Glad you have her!!!Our oldest daughter, Lacy, is going through some of those terrible experiences right now. Although she has one child, from her first marriage which ended tragically in a horrific car accident (after only 28 days!), she desperately wants a child with her second husband. He's being wonderful about it. But they've recently found out (we all have) that she actually only has one fully-functional ovary. The other one just doesn't produce as well. Go figure. So they saved up and tried IVF. Didn't work AT ALL. She's devastated! Nick is still being completely supportive. They're foster parents and that's helping, but ...
Turning out to be a SPLENDID day in MN! Gonna open them windows WIDE and enjoy my view while working!

Karen - Hope your reunion is good! I've never been to any of mine.
Annie - Hope your dad is really OK. Falls are so scary.
Carla - Egg brightens up my life every day. She's so funny, and just adores Corey--she always has to beat me to get to the door and greet him when he comes home from work. I'm so sorry your daughter is struggling to have her second.
It was 48 degrees here when I woke up, but it's sunny now and warming fast. Once it's comfortable, I plan to get out in the yard and get a few things done.
Internet follies:The fiber optic folks got my system fully installed, and I closed my account with our previous cable internet provider immediately after I tested the new one successfully. Their customer service automated system wouldn't let me close my account, so I finally talked to a representative... who tried to make me tell her what company we were moving to, and how much I was paying them, and all kinds of things that were none of her business. Which is what I told her. I know it's their job, but it doesn't make it less annoying.
So, then she tried to sell me on their fastest package, which is better than what we had, but half the speed of what we just moved to, and still $20 a month more expensive. I would bet Cox has lost at least 500 accounts up here as this rural fiber optic rolls out--figuring average $150 a month, that's a $75,000 monthly hit they're taking, nearly a million a year. It could be as many as a thousand or more lost accounts, because WAVE has been installing one section of their area, then another for more than a year already and lots more to go.6 -
Well it's Friday and my happy day. Have a motorcycle rally this weekend tonight and tomorrow. Then Sunday church. While Monday is a holiday I am coming in to cover so one of the girls can go sing at a memorial service and then do timecards. Sounds like the sun is going to shine so will be comfortable riding the motorcycle.
Have a great day and remember we can do this One Day at a Time.

I hope you have a wonderful time. I love reunions- I am in charge of my class. Just had a combination class(our reunion was canceled because of covid so the next class added us in so we worked together, then they added two more classs-it was a lot of fun but our next one will be just the two classes I think.
Having Facebook has really helped reconnect with classmates but also, you get to see what they look like now and not be totally shocked at how much they have changed in 40-50 yrs

One of my lamp bulbs went out in my sofa side lamp. The cheap lamp is 16 years old, so I've been thinking of getting a new standard lamp. Not quite ready to spend out just yet. So I ordered new bulbs and this afternoon found bulbs in the bulb drawer! Silly me! Managed to cancel the order. The new one is much brighter!
DH is very happy with his new, improved, sitting position, with his extra cushion, but we will have to go and look at chairs soon. I don't want it to look like an old person's chair. Lots on line, but I think he needs to sit in it. He has very long legs.
Watching lots of programmes about DNA tracing. I'm still wishing DH would do it to find his father. He is resistant. If it were me .........
DDIL'S comment on their holiday venue - "it's bliss!" Happy for them. Grrr!
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx3 -
Annie If bad storm coming tell him you have a friend who has $2000 in hail damage to her car and it barely shows. Fortunately I have comprehensive with $100 deductible. Still hassle to get fixed and won't be done til October.2

Binge-watching The Great Pottery Throwdown (out of the UK, of course), and seriously happy there are three more seasons left to watch after this one. Wore myself out doing some hedge trimming and pruning late in the morning, took me an hour to cool down enough to get in the shower. It's a good fatigue for a change, and happy for it... Not even interested in cooking dinner or eating it, so Corey's going to make spaghetti with leftover meatballs and homemade sauce. Corey's just come through the front gate (I have an alarm on the gate, so I know when people come through.6

Evening ladies
Well i am tucked in ,with jammies on an have Alfie snuggled up with me..3 -
Worked, came home and changed for the gym, went to the post office, to a friend of mine to give coupons and some cake, soup kitchen, gym, Salvation Army, now home. Made 2 batches of rice krispie bars to take to Denise for us to have at the hotel. Also made more chocolate bran muffins.
Jerry wanted me to wait for him. He is usually at BK around 6:30-7, but today he came in later. I was told that if he works in the evening he doesn't want to work in the morning. I was also told (and this I know because we're always stopping so he can buy beer) that he drinks a lot. So my guess is that if he works at night, he goes home and gets plastered. He doesn't want to work the next morning so that he can sleep it off. Anyway, if he thinks I'm going to wait around while he finishes his work...not gonna happen. Maybe he should come in earlier. Or maybe not drink (but I know that won't happen)
After dinner Vince wants to go to Lowe’s Hardware to get pool salt and muriatic acid. We had a lot of rain yesterday so the pool lost a lot of chlorine. Update: we got 160lbs of salt and 2 gallons of acid. When we took it out of my trunk, you could almost hear the shock absorbers breathing a sigh of relief
Katla – good thoughts being sent to your dh
Julie – great for you using those techniques!
M – you are required to mow your lawn because of snakes? You can keep them, thank you very much
Karen – You’re as old as you feel. And if you feel 39, that’s how old you are. I don’t know if I’ll have a reunion since the school is no longer there. Have fun at your reunion
Carla – my heart goes out to Lacy

I've never been to a reunion. I had just moved to Australia when my class has their 25th. Later, some of my cousins put on a big extended family reunion, but I think that was in the year of my husband's accident and we couldn't go.

Snakes like long grass. We're encouraged to keep our yards fairly trim, especially if people might be walking up a footpath or something.
Tiger snakes are fairly common right around here.
https://nre.tas.gov.au/wildlife-management/fauna-of-tasmania/reptiles-and-frogs/tasmanian-snakes
Tasmania has three species of land snake:
Tiger snake, Notechis scutatus
Lowland Copperhead, Austrelaps superbus
White-lipped snake, Drysdalia coronoides

Machka — Snakes are not animals that I like. I certainly don’t want to be surprised by one. I like animals with hair, legs, feathers and/or fins.

Hi 👋 everyone. Hope you are all ready to have a super weekend, in your own way, of course.
Annie: Hoping your dad is really OK. (((Hugs)))
Julie: 🙋♀️
Lisa: I love Pottery Throwdown, and the Sewing Bee. Does watchingI three or four episodes of old series on BBC iPlayer count as binge watching? 🤔 I watched the first four episodes of Heroes a few days ago, as it’s coming back on our screens. It helps me remember what the plots were.😝
Machka: 🐍 Very little chance of 🐍 in the long grass in Ireland. 😂 Reclutter graphic. Don’t need a book for that one! It seems to happen all on it’s own.
When we got our own home and had children, I planned to stay at home. It took about 6 weeks after the youngest went to school for me to start climbing the walls and looking for something more appealing. Tried a few things before deciding to go back to school and become a teacher. It was a great decision for me. It also meant that I got to spend school holidays with my girls, and still got paid.4 -
