Hello, I'm looking forward to this challenge. Interested to see how the scale goes for 100 days.
I'm at 177.8 and in 100 days would like to be in the 160's. I broke my days into groups of 10 just for the appearance of more time!! Hope you all reach your goals!!

I am Dawn. 61yrs old, 5'2"
Ideal healthy body weight for my stats is 112. Many rounds away from that, and quite honestly I would be happy to get to 118 some day.
I would really like to lose 7 pounds this round.
I lost 1.8 pounds the last 100, which was a departure from gaining in the last 4 of them.
1st Week Goal Weight: 135.0
1st Week Actual Weight: 138.8
Excess calories burned (in the green): Shorter week, 1874, which only averages to 372.8 per day, less than usual
2nd Week Goal Weight: 135.0 - seems ambitious.
2nd Week Actual Weight: No idea, wonky scale on holiday with me read 48 pounds
Excess calories burned (in the green): 5167 - very happy with that.
3rd Week Goal Weight: N/A
3rd Week Actual Weight: 138.3 - had Ribs this week
Excess calories burned (in the green): 3976. Even after having a RED from Ribs, I still averaged 568 per day overall.
4th Week Goal Weight: 136.1
4th Week Actual Weight: 138.5
Excess calories burned (in the green): 3568 - Not as much as usual, and it is reflected in my weight.
5th Week Goal Weight: 135.0 until I hit it
5th Week Actual Weight: 139.4 - lunch out contributed to this gain.

Day 34: Sun, 6/12: 139.4 - Playing catch up with so many things around the house after getting behind with the eye injury. I play catch up at the best of times, this is just moreso. Lots on the agenda today, grass cutting, planting, cleaning, laundry etc. I have had lots of activity over the weekend, but also had cocktails, so hoping that this weight will drop off this week.
Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 139.5 - It is a full 30c colder than last year at this time. Historically this should be the perfect time for peppers and tomatoes to set their flowers. Pouring rain here. Glad that I worked my butt off in the yard yesterday. Expecting (hoping for) some dramatic weight loss over the next few days.
Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 138.4 - It would be great to see a drop like that again tomorrow. Staying diligent.

Day 36…..06/14…..206.2…..(Trend weight 204.8) A week filled with much car-sitting travel. Chinese last night didn’t help this mornings weigh-in. I’m seeing the heart doctor today (more travel from this rural area). I’m sure he’ll insist on weight loss. Probably just the push I need to get back in control.
Day 37…..06/15…..206.8…..(Trend weight 205.1) Cardiologist yesterday. All my medicine basically doubled for blood pressure and cholesterol. So….on the 27th I have an ultrasound on the heart and on that day they will also place a heart monitor for me to wear at home for 2 days. On the 29th, back to the hospital where the monitor is removed and they will do the stress test without the treadmill because I can’t breathe with exersion. 4 hour test involving needle where they put something in to activate heart. Those 3 tests should give us some answers. Doctor says anything from an infection that got into my bloodstream/heart, diabetes issues, to my chemotherapy I had could have caused this. He suspects the chemotherapy. Follow-up for results in July. I hope to see a better readings soon on the scale, even with so much travel on the books coming up. It’s doctors orders.

Day 36…..06/14…..206.2…..(Trend weight 204.8) A week filled with much car-sitting travel. Chinese last night didn’t help this mornings weigh-in. I’m seeing the heart doctor today (more travel from this rural area). I’m sure he’ll insist on weight loss. Probably just the push I need to get back in control.
Day 37…..06/15…..206.8…..(Trend weight 205.1) Cardiologist yesterday. All my medicine basically doubled for blood pressure and cholesterol. So….on the 27th I have an ultrasound on the heart and on that day they will also place a heart monitor for me to wear at home for 2 days. On the 29th, back to the hospital where the monitor is removed and they will do the stress test without the treadmill because I can’t breathe with exersion. 4 hour test involving needle where they put something in to activate heart. Those 3 tests should give us some answers. Doctor says anything from an infection that got into my bloodstream/heart, diabetes issues, to my chemotherapy I had could have caused this. He suspects the chemotherapy. Follow-up for results in July. I hope to see a better readings soon on the scale, even with so much travel on the books coming up. It’s doctors orders.
Day 38…..06/16…..204.2…..(Trend weight 205.0) I logged for the first time in awhile yesterday. I kept it under my calorie and carb allotment. Then, after closing, I had a bad glucose drop and stuffed in an extra 200 calories but remained under 1600. 96 degrees yesterday in northern Michigan which is highly unusual for our area. Advisory to stay inside but I don’t have air conditioning. Low level movement. Low calorie burn. Low steps. Low activity. However, nice TMI this morning and almost 6 hours of sleep so both were a nice contributing factor.

It sounds like you are in good hands with the newest doc.
Lots of tests as expected. Once those are finished a treatment plan will get put into place I imagine.
Sorry that your meds had to be doubled. At one point it was looking like you were going to be able to get off of those altogether because you had lost so much weight.
It is too bad that you have to travel so much for this. Will this impact your retention of the new handyman?
How far is the trip each way? (I am pretty sure that you mentioned this, but I can't find that post).

Ideal healthy body weight for my stats is 112. Many rounds away from that, and quite honestly I would be happy to get to 118 some day.
I would really like to lose 7 pounds this round.
I lost 1.8 pounds the last 100, which was a departure from gaining in the last 4 of them.

2nd Week Goal Weight: 135.0 - seems ambitious.
2nd Week Actual Weight: No idea, wonky scale on holiday with me read 48 pounds

3rd Week Actual Weight: 138.3 - had Ribs this week
Excess calories burned (in the green): 3976. Even after having a RED from Ribs, I still averaged 568 per day overall.

Lots on the agenda today, grass cutting, planting, cleaning, laundry etc. I have had lots of activity over the weekend, but also had cocktails, so hoping that this weight will drop off this week.
Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 139.5 - It is a full 30c colder than last year at this time. Historically this should be the perfect time for peppers and tomatoes to set their flowers. Pouring rain here. Glad that I worked my butt off in the yard yesterday. Expecting (hoping for) some dramatic weight loss over the next few days.
Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 138.4 - It would be great to see a drop like that again tomorrow. Staying diligent.

It is too bad that you have to travel so much for this. Will this impact your retention of the new handyman?

@dawnbgethealthy When I lost down to the early 170's about 3 years ago I was taken down or off A LOT of meds. Slowly I have had to add them back on or increase the mgs. so I know losing weight can really help with this too. This morning on my online fitbit account it reported that I have gained 18.2 lbs since September 2021. I haven't went back and looked, I'm sure it's accurate. WHAT AN EYE OPENER.!!!!! Honestly, I know I have to do something. As important as this all is for my heart, it is even more important for my breast cancer remission. And I don't want to go through all THAT again!
I am able to see the doctor about 1.5 hours from me for the heart and have tests at the hospital near his office. It is in a very good medical group too. That will save me a lot of time. Surgeries, however, will likely be about 2.5 or 3 hours away. Still closer than the Univ Hospital. The small hospital that I can use right now is still pretty rural and don't have a lot of services. Most surgeries are shipped downstate but I don't mind. I'm used to the constant travel. If it weren't for all my children and grandchildren living here, I would probably not have stayed here now that my mother passed away a few years ago.1 -
Well....I'll tell you one thing for sure. When I'm logging my foods, I put less butter on my bread, a LOT LESS crackers in my soup, and mayonnaise.....well it's just not worth it at all. Just thought I share that.

Well, our temps are opposite.
Normally it is extremely hot here in South Eastern BC (in the summer) and it has been cold and raining this June. 5c in the mornings (41F). Last year for the month of June we were at 44c (111F). Climate change is crazy.
Where you are would not normally require A/C!! Normally my tomatoes and peppers are flourishing by now : - (
Mayonnaise and coffee cream were not something that I was willing to part with for my weight loss/lifestyle change. I do however measure both, and have cut both back substantially. I would rather have those and cut back elsewhere or this would not be sustainable long term for me.
I am really happy to hear that those new appointments are so very much closer for you. Maybe lunch/dinner out will not be necessary, but you probably have to keep some sort of non perishable snack in the car in case of glucose drops.
We really need you Donna, so hopefully this new med team can get you tuned up.

Ideal healthy body weight for my stats is 112. Many rounds away from that, and quite honestly I would be happy to get to 118 some day.
I would really like to lose 7 pounds this round.
I lost 1.8 pounds the last 100, which was a departure from gaining in the last 4 of them.

Excess calories burned (in the green): 3976. Even after having a RED from Ribs, I still averaged 568 per day overall.

Day 34: Sun, 6/12: 139.4 - Playing catch up with so many things around the house after getting behind with the eye injury. I play catch up at the best of times, this is just moreso. Lots on the agenda today, grass cutting, planting, cleaning, laundry etc. I have had lots of activity over the weekend, but also had cocktails, so hoping that this weight will drop off this week.
Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 139.5 - It is a full 30c colder than last year at this time. Historically this should be the perfect time for peppers and tomatoes to set their flowers. Pouring rain here. Glad that I worked my butt off in the yard yesterday. Expecting (hoping for) some dramatic weight loss over the next few days.
Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 138.4 - It would be great to see a drop like that again tomorrow. Staying diligent.
Day 37: Wed, 6/15: 136.9 - Happy with that. Now to get back to my start weight of the 100
Day 38: Thurs, 6/16: 139.5 - Really??? This number makes me feel like giving up, but I won't. Zumba in the park tonight after work that I am looking forward to : - )

@dawnbgethealthy Because we have no stores to speak of in my area, when I travel out of town I do all my big box shopping. Walmart, Home Depot, department stores or even a mall if they have one. Lunch or dinner out is part of that because we are usually gone 8 hours or more. When my 2 oldest grandchildren were a bit younger, I took them out of town to a hotel in a mall district. I wanted to make sure they seen stores that were INSIDE another building, not just doors from the outside. They got to see and try elevators (in the hotel), escalators, swimming pools (none anywhere near here, not even the k-12 school). Red lights, center turn lanes and more than one lane each way traffic. I even took them to an all-u-can-eat buffet and they were shocked. We also went to the movies, WOW a big screen and such loud volume! No one should miss any of that. Later at home I made tea with a whistling tea pot, made jiffy popcorn you shake over the stove while the foil bubble grows. Everyone should know about these things. Anyway, getting to a city is a long ordeal and a big deal, even to me. I still take the time sometimes to hit a movie. I want to see the Elvis one that starts on the 24th next. (Yes, I'm still a fan of the better of his stuff and I still find him incredibly sexy). On another note, much cooler today. Handyman is here and I am babysitting the 4 yr old DGS. I'll try to get out later for a cul-de-sac walk. Maybe a few times!2 -

So….on the 27th I have an ultrasound on the heart and on that day they will also place a heart monitor for me to wear at home for 2 days. On the 29th, back to the hospital where the monitor is removed and they will do the stress test without the treadmill because I can’t breathe with exersion. 4 hour test involving needle where they put something in to activate heart. Those 3 tests should give us some answers. Doctor says anything from an infection that got into my bloodstream/heart, diabetes issues, to my chemotherapy I had could have caused this. He suspects the chemotherapy. Follow-up for results in July. I hope to see a better readings soon on the scale, even with so much travel on the books coming up. It’s doctors orders.
Day 38…..06/16…..204.2…..(Trend weight 205.0) I logged for the first time in awhile yesterday. I kept it under my calorie and carb allotment. Then, after closing, I had a bad glucose drop and stuffed in an extra 200 calories but remained under 1600. 96 degrees yesterday in northern Michigan which is highly unusual for our area. Advisory to stay inside but I don’t have air conditioning. Low level movement. Low calorie burn. Low steps. Low activity. However, nice TMI this morning and almost 6 hours of sleep so both were a nice contributing factor.
Day 39…..06/17…..203.2…..(Trend weight 204.8) Another good drop, but this time without a glucose incident. Yay!!!! My meals and snacks had been spaced out good, but not necessarily my calories spaced out right. I fixed that yesterday (hoping it wouldn’t happen during the day when I lightened my calories and saved some for at night). At least for yesterday it worked. I do feel motivated at this time and that always makes it easier to stick to my guns and see some results. I hope to keep up the good attitude and the strength it takes us all to achieve our goals.

Then, after closing, I had a bad glucose drop and stuffed in an extra 200 calories but remained under 1600. 96 degrees yesterday in northern Michigan which is highly unusual for our area. Advisory to stay inside but I don’t have air conditioning. Low level movement. Low calorie burn. Low steps. Low activity. However, nice TMI this morning and almost 6 hours of sleep so both were a nice contributing factor.

My meals and snacks had been spaced out good, but not necessarily my calories spaced out right. I fixed that yesterday (hoping it wouldn’t happen during the day when I lightened my calories and saved some for at night). At least for yesterday it worked. I do feel motivated at this time and that always makes it easier to stick to my guns and see some results. I hope to keep up the good attitude and the strength it takes us all to achieve our goals.

Day 34: Sun, 6/12: 139.4 - Playing catch up with so many things around the house after getting behind with the eye injury. I play catch up at the best of times, this is just moreso. Lots on the agenda today, grass cutting, planting, cleaning, laundry etc. I have had lots of activity over the weekend, but also had cocktails, so hoping that this weight will drop off this week.
Day 35: Mon, 6/13: 139.5 - It is a full 30c colder than last year at this time. Historically this should be the perfect time for peppers and tomatoes to set their flowers. Pouring rain here. Glad that I worked my butt off in the yard yesterday. Expecting (hoping for) some dramatic weight loss over the next few days.
Day 36: Tues, 6/14: 138.4 - It would be great to see a drop like that again tomorrow. Staying diligent.
Day 37: Wed, 6/15: 136.9 - Happy with that. Now to get back to my start weight of the 100
Day 38: Thurs, 6/16: 139.5 - Really??? This number makes me feel like giving up, but I won't. Zumba in the park tonight after work that I am looking forward to : - )
Day 39: Fri, 6/17: 138.5 - Zumba got rained out : - ( Slated for the same time tonight and not a cloud in the sky at the moment, so staying hopeful. Zumba really takes me out of my head and into pure fun.
Day 40: Sat, 6/18: 138.5 - Had hoped for a cushion for the big day of the festival, but nope.

So......I pre-logged my food for the day and boy am I glad I did. I found myself removing 2 of the crackers, taking away one of the two pieces of Russell Stover's Sugar-free dark chocolate, and taking away a splurge that I was going to have - 12 oz of pure leaf sweet tea (100 calories), just to stay under my 1400. I didn't want those small things to cause me to lose actual food. I guess I am out of practice on this logging. And for so long I was only on a low carb (keto) diet so I didn't track calories at all. Boy oh boy, I'm rusty!
I also just wanted to pat myself on the back here and say that so far today I've danced to 4 songs including my cool-down song to baby my heart problems (for now). My new handyman made an excuse and didn't show up (again). That's about 16 to 17 minutes of straight dancing using lots of aerobic hand movements too. I'm going to fit in a small walk on my street including the incline part and see how I feel but I must admit that I'm a bit scared based on how bad it was last fall on my breathing. Also, more dancing I hope tonight. I'll add it all up and report it tonight. And..... In case you are wondering, my cool-down song today was one of my very favorite songs of all time....."Rainbow Connection" by Kermit the Frog. No kidding!2 -
