Carla sorry to hear about your work situation! Possibly you can talk to the union rep and see if you can work from home. At the very least you need to talk about how you are being treated. When we were over crowded at our school I had to work in our back storage room during prep much like your situation. You need to have the principal clean out the storage area and give you a desk! It wasn't ideal for me but better than going to the media center that was full of students and noisy! 💞

DH & I opted for cottage and blueberries this morning. I was delighted. I grew the blueberries on my own bushes. They’ve been in the freezer since last summer.

Regarding online images of the people we love: I think that our society has swung from one polar opposite to another and that the reality is somewhere in the middle. I say this with much love for all sides of the question here that my decision has been to stop worrying about it.
If my daughter has seen fit to post my grandkid's image on Facebook, I consider that tacit permission to post it here. My grandchildren are, in my experience, the most photographed children of all time. Without any exaggeration, I would bet the number of images of them on the internet is in the tens of thousands.
Seriously, I had to scold her yesterday for sending me 15 pictures of people I will never meet (the people she was camping with this weekend). Not because she's exposing them to danger, but because she's annoying the quack out of me with 15 notifications of arriving texts on my phone.
I think we all need to just take a breath and ratchet down the fear a little bit. None of us are posting naked pictures of ourselves or the people we love, we're sharing images that are precious to everyone here, ones that help us celebrate this shared experience reinforcing lifestyle changes that have benefited all of us. As someone else said, we've been able to be part of these babies' lives, many of them from their first few hours.
My two cents, and worth what you paid for it. The only reason I'm not posting a picture of Levi is that he's at the other grandparents and his allergies to the three dogs' hair and the grandparents' cigarette smoke are overwhelming him. He's rubbed his eyes so much that they're swollen and red. I just about burst into tears when I saw the picture of him.
Later, y'all,
Love,

I am sorry that some of you think we should not be sharing photos of our families in this chat. For many of us, our grandchildren and families are our lives. I will refrain from doing so in the future as I certainly do not want to put any of my loved ones in danger.

I for one love all the family pictures. This is a type of freedom of speech. Those who wish to post pictures do so. If you do not want to, then don’t. My grands are on Facebook by their parents so I have no issues posting them here ( when it works!). But I do respect other’s wishes. My middle daughter does not want me posting her pictures so I don’t. It is an individual decision.

Cute pics Rita!
I walked 2 miles at the gym this morning. Jogged a bit as well. At one point sweat was dripping! So I know I am exercising this old heart of mine!
Having leftover soup today. Its sausage, onion, mushroom, wild rice, zucchini in a nice broth with a couple of spinach/ricotta ravioli. Heaven!
Husband is having leftovers all day today!
Pizza and tomato soup, or his bean soup.
I suppose this topic of posting grandkids is very individualistic. I suppose like most media, if you don't wish to see it, you can scroll on by. I won't take offense. I will be offended though if you text negatively about it. This is a group of support, light and love, and of things, activities that make us happy. Hugs ladies!💖

Regarding family photos — DH & I are delighted when our adult kids share photos of their homes and our grandchildren. Facetime is a good place touch bases with family & friends. 😊2

MaryQueena ... first of all WELCOME! And congratulations for being the first one to "stir the pot" this month! Please believe me, this happens frequently. We are a diverse group of women with very strong opinions! The only subjects off-limit are politics and religion (although you will see me and a few others commenting that we are praying for specific situations ... we just don't tell you to do the same). I hope you'll keep posting whenever the mood strikes you!
I understand the concern of posting children's photos, but I confess that I absolutely love seeing your families. I've been on this recurring thread for many, many years and you all have become like family to me. My husband knows some of you as well because I mention your names often.
Today was not a good day for me ... my food choices were exceedingly poor and emotionally I'm pretty frazzled. I need to rein it all in here sometime soon as the scale is reflecting my behavior.

Afternoon ladies
Productive afternoon..
My daughter and son in law dont want pictures of the kids on Facebook so I dont post them.. i do post in messenger to a certain few..
Went for my physical.. and im obese well i know that.. but ,gee i really enjoy my dr she is a hoot.. will have bloodwork done but she is doing that in combo with my nephrologist ..
And no sooner did i get home then radiology called to set up the mammogram.. had the receptionist over there laughing because i told her they like mine because they are large and squishy and easy to move around lol..
Called the furniture place ,and again I was nice but firm..asked why they were able to set up a delivery when product wasnt ready? And i had already taken the bed apart. And I have health issues .so i will be getting the delivery the 18th rather than 11th so another week out. Instead of the 21st or the 28th
Then a young lady on Facebook who moves to Portland does cleaning and organizing she came and gave me a price on cleaning out and organizing for me. She also does Reiki.. so she is going to be a big help..once she gets things organized she is going to come in and clean once a month for me..6 -

I received word from a dear friend whose husband has passed away. He was a fine man with a good family. My friend’s adult children are grieving along with their mom, and are surrounding her. My heart goes out to the whole family.8

Absolutely.
Do your research.
Talk to your family about how they feel having their photos easily accessible on the internet. Respect their wishes.
Perhaps take some of the precautions mentioned in the article I posted.
And with that awareness, do what makes you feel comfortable.

Meanwhile I am just the messenger here.
Some of you are acting as if I told you your pictures were too ugly to be posted!!!

My brother's latest:
12 -
A few pictures from my walk with my zumba buddies- our teacher was out of town so we met at the wetlands- I have never been there, the other two go often.
Sorry, the pictures aren't great- I tried to zoom in too much of the swan family(we saw three families, one in each of the "ponds/lakes" there.
I can't wait to go again. We might go Friday. I told dh when I got home that I really want him to go with me one time. The areas we went were all flat land so he shouldn't have a problem with it-
The snake was just chilling in the middle of the road. We almost stepped on it. Busy chatting and looked down at the last second. He did not want to get off the road- think he liked the warmth. My friend did not want to be near it.
Went to the little park with my daycare girl after school- none of the other kids showed up so we just played- I walked around it while she played or she walked with me.
She has lunch there that I pack for her. I eat when we get home. I hadn't eaten anything (that was almost 2PM) and dh had brought home burger from Jack in the Box- I ate the whole thing and it was a big one- I usually get the Jr, not the Jumbo. Well, there goes about half my calories for the day. Ate it and just left me feeling more hungry, wanting to eat more- more hungry than before I ate. I was pretty good- yes, I did eat a couple onion rings but that was it. Got up and started doing stuff to get me busy and keep my mind of of snacking.
