Barbie so sad about Sasha! But it sounds like she had many wonderful loving years, and it is time. Take care of yourself in this time of grief.

(((Barbie))) — I am so sorry about Sasha. Losing a beloved dog is very difficult. Bessie will need you. Sasha will be remembered.
We lost our sweet old dog, Schooner last fall. He will be remembered. We are hoping to adopt a new puppy sometime this summer or fall. We have been lonely without a dog to love. ⭐️

Yogi is taking pain meds and down to 1 mile max walks til Monday then we can go back to 6miles. Have to soak his food for the next two weeks.2 -
Barbie - Thinking of you. The hardest thing.
Pip - Glad Yogi came through OK.
Tomorrow DH is out all day at cricket. Same Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. I love the idea of it, but it can get a bit lonely by the end. Gets back before 8 pm.
I'm going to collect Bea on my own on Tuesday. She won't be happy about not seeing Johnny, but never mind. She knows he can't come.
I will start thinking about packing!

DrKatieBug ... so very sorry about your dad...hugs
Barbie ... keeping you and your husband in my prayers. Almost 15 is a long time and you loved Sasha well.
Debbie ... praying that you and your husband get through these next few weeks as you MIL heals!
Pip ... glad Yogi is being a good patient!
Lisa ... yes, the neighbors have stood behind their promises!
I'm with Lisa and Heather when it comes to company. I stress way too much about it all!
I got on the scale again yesterday and I'm gaining weight again. I know that this is stress eating, but dang-it, I just can't seem to stop. I'm getting absolutely no exercise and find myself sitting all day on while on the phone trying to resolve multiple problems for my parents. My sleep is interrupted. You know that cortisol is just pumping through my veins encouraging fat storage. Sigh. I'd like to say there's an end in sight, but problems seem to be ramping up.

Worked today then went to WalMart to get veges for the gazpacho I want to make tomorrow and to buy gas (gulp). You get 5% rebate on all Sam’s club purchases (including gas) but if you buy it on any Sat. in June you get 10% back. So I bought gas.
Now cooling milk for yogurt. After I get it in the IP, I’ll go in the pool.
Carol – I’d never heard of Pledge floor cleaner. Where did you get it?
Pip – I think you made the right decision regarding Yogi. That’s so wonderful that Kirby wants to be with him. I can’t imagine if something happened when you were away. So happy he’s out of surgery
Went for a walk to the Dollar Tree yesterday and got the poster board. Admitted, I walk slower. It’s amazing how much you bend your little toe.
Well, yogurt in the IP
Lisa – good luck at the doctors
Jess didn’t get the one place that she really wanted. I can’t help wondering if it’s because she has Shadow. She and Colby are going to take a virtual tour of another place. The bad thing is that it isn’t available until sometime in August. So she’ll have to stay with a friend of hers until then. We suspect that when they do move, the Mom and Dad Moving Company will be employed….lol Colby will stay here with Shadow for those few weeks. She’s been preapproved for this place. So we shall see what happens, if they like it or not.
Katie – welcome Georgie! All our cats are rescue cats. Bonnie, in particular, had a hard time trusting us but she eventually came around. She would eat real fast but we know that because she was so small, she had to do it in the wild in order to get something to eat.
Rebecca – happy early birthday
No work tomorrow so I can exercise. Yea!!! The plan is to do a Total Body Metabolic DVD (this is for the rebounder). I have a note that it isn’t too intense so hopefully I won’t have much of a problem with my toe.
Barbie – my heart goes out to you. Know that you are doing what Sasha would want you to do and that you gave her a great home.
After work today went to WalMart and then Sam’s for gas. Was there ever a line. Vince filled his Outlook and it took $78. My car took $45. Time for the second mortgage….lol Came home and went in the pool a bit. Lectored at the church. My CPAP came and we started to get it set up. Looks like I need a smaller nasal mask so I will call them Monday and ask if the home visit person can bring a small.

Evening ladies
Long day.
Barbie- my love goes to you and Jake our time will come soon for Homer.you were such wonderful parents to Sasha.. and I know she loved you for it!!2 -
I saw one flea on Teddy the other day, and today he is infested again. The vet said I should switch from Frontline plus to Frontline Gold, but I have to wait until he's due for more. So I gave him the capstar meanwhile. Poor baby.
I did my dumbbells but it took me an extra half hour because Teddy kept interrupting me for scritches.
Diet was terrible today. Runaway cookies. No reason. I need to get over this Tomorrow.
Annie in Delaware3 -
Today will be Sasha's last day. She is not eating or drinking and is completely disoriented and doesn't want to go out for her walk. Our regular vet is closed on Saturday so we called the 24/7 emergency vet about an hour's drive away. They will let us know when we can come over. They deal with crisis emergency so it's like waiting in the ER behind heart attacks and gunshot wounds. Bessie and Sasha will be afraid being left alone for a few hours when Sasha leaves so I am going to stay home. My Sunday walking friend is going to ride with Jake so he won't be alone and I'll stay here so the other pets won't be alone. Sasha is the last of her litter and would have been 15 years old next week.

Barbie: My heart breaks for you during this painful, inevitable stage of being a pet parent. I hope Sasha reunites with Brandy on the other side of the rainbow bridge and they take frequent long walks together.
Pip: I would have reacted the same as Kirby. Hope Yogi's heart is stronger than his bite, and you will all have many more fun shoreline camping trips. Alaska will always be there.
Guess who has Covid? No idea where I got it, but sore throat started on Monday. Did home test and it came up negative. On Wednesday, I had stuffy head and dry cough. Tested again and this one came up positive. By Friday, I was barely sniffling and cough gone. Glad I am vaxxed and boosted, as I've heard so many people had it so much worse. This crud is spiking again here in my state.
My 5 day isolation ends tomorrow night. I will test again on Monday, and continue until I see I'm negative again. My friends from Montana are expected to arrive on Wednesday. I invited them to stay here, but if I'm still positive, I'll pay for them to stay at a nearby hotel. Meanwhile, I'm cleaning, primping and doing everything to my place as though we will have a 3-night slumber party. We'll be masked and sanitizing. Guest anxiety? Yes, I have it in spades, but I'm also very excited to have company of old friends, and the opportunity to share a little bit of the joys and beauty I get to experience here. I have tickets for us to see Chicago+Brian Wilson at Red Rocks, an outdoor venue, on Thursday. Cannot wait.
I continue to send energy to all of you who are caring for loved ones. You are sheros. Your compassion is an inspiration. Please take care of yourself, too.
We can do this, friends.

At the coast this evening. Lovely sunset, and I got 12000 beach steps in.
Sorry about your pup, Barbie. Hope your pup has a quick recovery, Pip.
Sorry you're sick, Rori, but thankful it is mild.

Barbie - so sorry about Sasha. She had a good long life for a standard poodle. I lost my standard, Ginger when she was about 10.
Pip - glad Yogi is coming along well.
Kate - congrats on the new kitty. A wish for well- being for your dad.
Rori - hope the crud is gone sòon and you are able to enjoy your company.
Had MRI on Friday. It showed I have a partially torn ligament in my ankle. Will be referred to ortho but my doc doubts they will do surgery. In-person choir tomorrow morning makes me happy.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA8 -
I am actually aiming for an hour a day, but obviously I need to up my game a little bit.
My doctor did mention that more exercise is good.

Glad your covid is mild, Rori. We are on the countdown for the cruise, so masking still and taking precautions. Both of us wore FFP2 for our hair appointments and asked the cutter to wear a mask. DH is going to cricket and I hope he will be sensible and not go indoors. Luckily the weather is good. I remind him, but he forgets.
Going to have Wun Tun soup for lunch. The bonus of him going away is that I can have my 'funny lunches'. I have chilli oil in it and cough a lot.
Also debating whether to have an oily bath and pedicure, or dye my roots. A quandary. At my age I can only contemplate one thing a day! Will also look at a tiny bit of pre-publicity.

Just a shout out for the carers amongst us. I am always in awe. I won't mention you, as I know I will forget some, but just know I hugely appreciate everything you do. You know who you are.
Plus, yes Barbara, I'm getting worried about you.

Barbie-sorry Sasha has wound down. Very caring of you taking other fur babies into consideration.
Debbie-hope your husband and you don't get too worn out with MIL. At least she thanked you for your work-this sounds different than some of her typical described behavior.
Rori-glad your Covid symptoms seem to be relatively mild. Regarding testing afterwards, I do keep reading that one can test positive for some time after having Covid but isn't necessarily contagious (most employers are not requiring a negative test before return to work, just clearing of major symptoms).
Sue in WA-torn ligaments can be very painful. In high school I tore all the ligaments on the side of my left foot. Doc said then I would have been better off just breaking something. Never did rehab or such things back in 1970. All of these years later that foot gives me fits. Have to work on stretches and balance. Hope they can give you rehab plan.
New pt orderSo I have mentioned my issues with UTI and I am also having prolapse issues. Gyn wants me to go to physical therapy for the pelvic floor. It should be an interesting experience. Has anyone had this type of therapy? He says that surgery may well be in my future but he thinks if I can get muscles (think about core etc.) tightened and working right it will make recovery better even if it doesn't take care of issue without it. Well, if it can help might as well give it a try!
Off to Sunday chores. Would like to have most of packing done for trip Wednesday today (I get hyper about forgetting something). Looks ike there will be a break in rain this am so will walk then. Have to do a return to Amazon at Kohls also.
Have a good Sunday.
Take care all,

I went to pelvic physio a few years ago.Apparently I have a prolapsed bladder which means I have a little pouch where urine collects and thus I don't empty completely.
- incomplete emptying of the bladder
- slow flow of urine
- hesitancy or delayed start of urine stream
- urinary urgency
- urinary frequency
My situation is the opposite to yours in the sense that my pelvic floor is solid ... too solid: a hypertonic pelvic floor likely caused by the stress from my husband's accident. I went for relaxation therapies.
https://www.continence.org.au/news/hypertonic-pelvic-floor
My pelvic physio specialised in that. If you find someone like that, I would recommend going.
