Newbie! Anyone in their late 50s up for a Buddy system?

I have finally accepted the fact that I am an emotional eater. After losing 80 pounds, regaining 80 pounds, losing 80 pounds again, and gaining those pounds back again, it’s time to get healthy and stick to this for the last time. As we get older, it gets a little harder. Looking for others who would like to support each other on the journey!

    Hi, Marie. Welcome to MFP!

The only advice I could give you is to maybe slow the process down enough that you learn good habits you can keep on a long term basis.

I see so many people here who lose, gain, lose gain.

Step back and ask yourself, “what have I learned? What mistakes did I make?”

I’ve accepted the fact that I will be weighing and logging for the rest of my life in order to stay in control.

It’s not such a bad trade off for better health, so I’m OK with that.

Hi Marie, I will be 51 in September and I would love to be motivation buddies :) I’m down over 30 lbs since starting MFP in January of this year. I am doing the one pound lost per week path. I will send a request.
