    @globalhiker Im in for joining you for the last three days of August AF. For some reason just writing that I’ve been AF since 8/20 has put pressure on me (?)
    We can do it!!!

    @Womona I LOVE pesto sauce. I had grilled chicken with zhoug sauce (cheated, store bought) which is similar but spicier.

    Yummy pesto sauce. I had my visiting friend make it for me several times, with the ask that he make it from my Oregano instead of basil. Perfect timing with us harvesting my garlic on the first day that he was here.
    I used Konjac noodles with it once, he didn't notice the difference that they are only 10 calories for the entire package vs. "real" pasta.

    I tried Yoga dutifully for 6 months every day, but it just wasn't for me. My sister is a Yoga teacher, and her daughter is a Yoga Master. I didn't get that gene. Hip-hop-ish dance is way more fun for me.
    There are lots and lots of good Yoga classes on Youtube, many of them free.
    Let us know how the Yoga works out for you, it helps so many people.

    My usual goal: 16-20 AF per month.
    I had 19AF days for July.

    Diary style (I post the next morning)

    Sunday August 28 - AF - Had some weird AF pinot grigio sparkling pear thing, it actually was pretty good. Hit my 16 : - )
    Monday August 29 - AF - Had the other half of the can of that sparkling (saving calories as usual, otherwise it would have been double the calories of my gin cocktails). We had a cool weather change for a week, now we are back to hot weather. Trying to keep up my tan before Mexico (even though it is forecast to rain the entire time that I am there) just got easier with the weather change back to summer.

    Rolling total: 17AF days out of 29 days

    August AF days: 17
    Only 2 more to go. 48 hours.
    Slept fine. 2 stress gummies then 2 melatonin gummies before bed and away I went.

    Going for a run shortly. Contemplating either joining a gym or joining a yoga studio. Yoga is really expensive in my area but thinking it could be part of my "lifestyle" change. The $$ I was spending on wine could go to yoga. Plus, all those yoga folks look so relaxed and limber and "chill", I want to feel like them.

    Well, there’s your answer. Sounds like yoga is worth the money, ans you can cut back elsewhere. Also, yoga will increase your strength in addition to increasing your flexibility, so win-win!

    Alternatively, join a gym that offers yoga classes.

    I used to do Pilates at the a club Pilates near me. My only issue was getting I to the class I wanted with my very limited schedule once I started working, so I had to drop it. But it’s also great for strength and flexibility.

    Getting in on the chat about workouts. SORRY yoga puts me to sleep, really anything that requires me to lie on my workout mat with relaxing music is sure to knock me out.

    I like spicy music during kick boxing, weight training, etc. All the BeachBody workouts I do have excellent music and fun trainers with a great sense of humor.

    To relax all I need to do is lie on the bed or couch with a book propped up on my belly to read. ZAP I am out like a light. (Also any hot beverage like cocoa or tea or carob is extremely relaxing with some smooth jazz music playing)

    Hey Team! August is challenging for me since every single weekend is packed full with either friends/family visiting or us traveling to see them.

    Goal: 16 AF days for the month; no more than 7 in a week.

    8/29 M - AF
    8/30 Tu - AF - Two NA IPAs last night. It felt like I was cheating. :smile:

    Posting my August accountability already. Going to be AF today/tonight

    A 6 days/ 7 standard size drinks
    AF 25 days

    First half of August 1-17 dry

    Count this up as a success, during a hectic time with selling and moving 1500 miles.
    👍👍👍

    @Womona

    Definitely don't beat yourself up. Less is less. Keeping to one glass of wine instead of more is a win.

    @Lilylady3k
    You and I (and probably everyone) lose weight when we don't have alcohol.

    Tuesday August 30 - AF - Really really felt like having a gin cocktail after cutting the grass with sweat dripping into my eyes after work. I might have drinks Wednesday night.

    One glass of wine tonight. I could kill off the bottle with another half glass to kick off my weekend, but I won’t. One is enough.
