Worked but no work tomorrow so that means I can exercise. The plan is to do a Tight on Time Body Blast DVD and then some pilates. I’m hoping to go for a walk afterwards. We’re supposed to go to Jess’ later in the day.
Hopefully, I can go for my walk after dinner tonight. It’s thundering right now but hopefully it’ll stop by dinnertime. Update: it kept spritzing and then raining hard so didn't
Rebecca – how horrible for your sister! My deepest thoughts going out to you all.
I really want to go see the movie “Where the Crawdads Sing”. The book was very good, took place in Hickory. There were a lot of places mentioned that I can relate to. Vince said he really doesn’t want to go, but he will. I’m thinking that he just might like it if they keep to the book.
Tracey – Funny you should mention Carmine. I was just thinking yesterday “gee, Allie hasn’t mentioned Carmine in a while”. Yup, that email said that according to the Farmer’s Almanac we’re in for a cold winter. Yuk and double yuk. I bet it’ll even be cold in FL. Great china cabinet! So sorry about the job
Debbie – awesome steps
Went to Jess’ storage unit and got some things that we’ll take up with us tomorrow

Did steps with Get Fit With Rick who has some free step videos on the internet. However I have been paying to be a member and must do more. I usually dont do steps when I have caretakers in the house. And when I dont have caretakers I am busy doing the care. I am in a quandry! Hopefully the GA heat will be over soon and I will walk outside.
I love the China Cabinet!
The Pride Parade sounds like fun!
I have never camped for 7 days but would love it I think!

Thanks ladies💖🙏. Today my sister called me and both of us just cried and wailed. Its just so sad. I told her to tell me when you come and I will be there. She said she has her kids there, plus Claire's kids. I said when they need to go, then I can come. She said her and Clair were going to do the same thing as last year. In September they had an "end of harvest" get together, which they wanted to do. So now it will be a celebration of life for Clair. It makes so much sense. I am hoping that Lee can go with me, we can do some trips to coast, and he can visit his momma and have some Athena time. I can go home when she says its time, then I can visit Athena and kids too. Take the train home from sons place.
Today I made some really dense chicken stock. I simmered it low and slow, so it was a darker hue. I made only 3 1/2 are instead of the 5 qts. I cooked a roast with carrots and potatoes. I have 2+ meals made for Lee, plus more meat for a sandwich for me. I also cut a thick part off the roast so I could have a bit for a stir fry. So the roast made about 6 servings. Not bad for a $10 roast.
Hugs
Rebecca

Still skimmin’.
Lisa, rejoicing at your S and NS Vs. Can’t take the credit, I borrowed “whoosh” from Rori, or was it Pluto?
Rebecca, ((hugs)) and prayers for your sister.
Debbie awesome walking congratulations!
Katla glad to hear your DH is gaining a little more every day. Does he have new doctors/cardiologist in Illinois? Do you?
Rosemarie ((hugs)) Papa had ALS too. ((hugs))
Welcome @rumtussle ! I’ve shrunk too, but an inch in a year is way too much too fast. Have you been tested for osteoporosis?
Tracey SMH that the interviewer hasn’t had the courtesy to call you back. How unprofessional.
Rita ((hugs))
Heather you DO sparkle!
Pip safe travels!

Good Morning All,
Hope everyone is well. Katla, we moved to Florida a large property in NY two years ago and I have never cried so much in my life. I have been horribly depressed, selling the home I raised my kids in. To top it off, I hate living here. We just decided to move back to NY and are house looking. I feel like a new person just knowing we are going back! It is amazing how the nature around you becomes a necessary part of your daily life.
I have been sick with a bad cold but lost a couple lbs in spite if it. I am feeling hopeful all around.4 -
Hi! I checked in with Kylia on Facebook and her Kentucky land was not in the same area as the flooding. She will probably check in with us soon.

Rebecca so sorry about your brother in law. You will be a big comfort to your sister.
I took a little exercise break and I need to get back to it. My eating has been awful, too. At this rate I won't be able to wear my clothes when I finally have my date!
I'm getting discouraged about this date. He cancelled once because he had to work last minute, and once for a dental emergency. He said he would call Friday night, but he only texted Saturday morning. Oh well. I'm about done with dating. It's going to be more and more difficult to fit it around my mom's care. Especially since most of them are quite far away.
I am going to a Shakespeare show in DC the end of this week with my college buddy Craig. That should be fun.

AWE SHOOT, Tracey... that's what I felt when you didn't call out on Tuesday. I'm so sorry, but that only means that there's something COMPLETELY BETTER for you somewhere else! I believe that. You have to look out for yourself and get out of a toxic environment before it eats you up.
That's awesome Debbie! WOOHOO!
Bummer Rita. You just do you and get'r done and try to leave him be.
Heading out today to a fun, little cardmaking mini-con for SU! with my group. It's a regional thing, all afternoon and then we're doing dinner. I'm really thrilled. Haven't been to one of these in YEARS. Hope my knees hold out.

Here is Edie's mostly completed castle. She is putting the final touches to it right now. A good afternoon with her. She also finished her Decopatch rabbit. It's only taken 3 years!
I was wearing my opal necklace and she was thrilled to learn it's her birthstone as she is Libra like DH and me. The castle is called Opal Castle.
We researched all the family members birthstones.

Slept better last night- didn't need any sleep aids.
Got on the scale this morning- back to what I was two weeks ago- gained a pound last week and lost that same pound this week. Was really hoping for a little more off-walked 56 miles and that is all I got.
146.2 again today.
I won't be walking that much this week.
The challenge was fun but not much else got done around here. Walking three times a day
Getting ready for church, then over to pick dh up and do a little shopping then home to give one of the cats another bath- using new fleas soap on her(if it comes- Amazon is supposed to be dropping it off today) and need to do treatments on all 8 cats(7 inside and one of the outside-the other two are totally feral and no way of treating them)- the ones inside will be acting feral when I start doing treatments.
Need to set some little traps in my garden. Something is eating the green tomatoes and my cucumber had bite marks out of it.
Need to finish my tea and get to church- hate being late. The one good thing about going by myself is I get there on time or a little early. With dh, barely on time, but usually a few minutes late.

Has anyone heard from Julie- have been thinking about her. Haven't seen her post in a long time1

Afternoon ladies
Sheesh im drippin sweat.thats why i stay inside.. I did a Sams club and a Walmart pick up.and the A.C.in my car needs a charge
I dropped some stuff off at DD and SIL house and then brought the rest here.. got some stuff to make BLTs.they are one of my favorites and when its hot outside who wants to cook.
Have one load of laundry going, and will do a second once that one is done.I did buy the stuff to make weed killer to take care of the jungle.outside and got gloves to pull them out.
Im allergic to something im sneezing my fool head off.4 -
Well I slept fairly well last night. My eating was more snacky, then proper meals yesterday. I did have a sandwich, coleslaw and a handful of chips at noon though.
Have no desire to write anyone today.
I have no "skip in my step" which is thoroughly understandable, I am trying. Grief isn't something I am familiar with. My normal go to in anything stressful is to "feel the feelings" process, but with a death in a family I don't want to be a puddle all day. Just giving myself some grace about it all, and carry on. I'm so sad that my sister didn't get her husband as long as she deserved to.
Today I am warming a bit of sliced roast beef and layering in on a toasted bread with mayo and ketchup, lettuce and pepper. Should be yummy! With some onion rings.
Dinnertime will be a mug of my chicken stock.
Hugs ladies

BLT's are my favorite during the summer when i have home grown tomatoes-Picked a handful last night so may make another one tonight(had one two nights ago)
One of my favorite childhood memories was about BLT's- mom would be in the kitchen frying the home grown bacon while dad and I were out in the garden getting tomatoes, lettuce and a big red onion.
Can't get much fresher than that- SOOO GOOD5 -
Well my book club is falling apart. One guy is having trouble recovering from Covid, so he dropped out. That leaves three of us, which is awkwardly small. I need to work on my social life.
Annie in Delaware3 -
Going along here. Had a caretaker in and was able to go to church and then sit by my favorite pond. Watching Seaside Hotel which has English subtitles. Finished The Codebreaker for bookclub.
Annie..I have been in several book groups over the years. Some never talk about the book. Some only talk about the book! Recently I signed up for a writing group and this has been fun. Last summer I did pottery and that was fun as well. Some women around here are in garden clubs. I might try one at the right point in my life.
