    🌼 Weigh in each morning
🌼 Post each day under this challenge
    🌼 Continue weight lifting.
    🌼🌱🌱🌱🌱

    8/1/22-167.2 lbs :-( Elliptical 214 minutes for 14.22 miles
8/2/22-168.6 lbs :-( The extra carbs and sodium show. Elliptical 233 minutes for 16.47 miles.
8/3/22-171.8 lbs :-( Still climbing from the extra carbs and sodium while I was off. Was in the BR almost ever half hour today peeing at work. Hopefully the scale will start back down.
8/4/22-168.4 lbs :-) Heading the right way.

8/5/22-166.8 lbs - Off today did 159 minutes on my Elliptical but then it just stopped, couldn't move it. I'm hoping it just needs some oil. 2 of my sons worked on it. Cleaned and oiled it. Ok right now, hope that was it.
    8/6/22-168.2 lbs
8/7/22-167.2 lbs Off today. Did 180 minutes on the Elliptical. Screeched some after 2 hours and then hard to move then eased up for awhile then got stiff again and I stopped. I'm hoping the bearings aren't bad. Found a listing for a place that fixes exercise equipment. Have to call from work and maybe they can come look at it Friday on my day off. Have a family party Saturday and work picnic Sunday. I have put over 2000+ miles on it since 1/22. I'm the only one that uses it. I bought it in 2010 for $600-800. The ones comparable to it now are like $1200-1600.

    Original start weight: 293
    August start weight: 172.2
August goal weight: 160-165 (maintenance range)

Aug 1 - 172.2 (Back from vacation and feeling good. August is going to be a great month!)
Aug 2 - 169.6 (Busy first day back to work but stayed positive. Ate well and focused on my step goal.)
Aug 3 - 167.6 (Dentist after work and then I'll hopefully find time for a Peloton ride or another walk, or both!)
Aug 4 - 166.2 (Have stress at work. Afterwards I will decompress with some kind of exercise. Last night I chose to do upper body strength as my exercise of choice and it felt great.)
Aug 5 - 165.8 (Found time to ride the Peloton last night and it felt good. Off to the lake for the weekend as soon as work is done.)
Aug 6 - 164.6 (Nice sunny day here today. I am going to aim for 10,000 steps which will require 1-2 longer walks around our lakeside trailer park. We have a bigger dinner tonight my husband is making for our trailer friends.)
Aug 7 - 165.8 (Yesterday I underperformed on my fitness and food plans so the return to the higher weight is completely expected. Tonight we return from the lake and have supper with friends before heading home.)
Aug 8 - 167 (Yesterday we came back from the lake, walked to and from a friend's house for a pizza supper, and then I did some yoga and strength. A good day.)

I'm Christie, an Aussie, mum to the BEST three year old in the world (I am not even biased). I absolutely need to get serious about my weight and stop "treating myself". I had lost 15kg from my initial starting weight, but then started working from home and became less active through the day as a result. I'm finding it hard to get my rhythm back even though I'm back to working on site now. I've gained back too much of that 15kg loss. I plan to go back to basics because I KNOW it works for me!

    Initial Starting Weight: 138.3kg (304.9lbs)

@TwistedSassette oh, Ive got many, many mini goals! If I woke up every morning and was like, gee, I lost half a pound, only a zillion more to go I would likely cry and then order a pizza. Or two. I have blood pressure goals, resting heart rate goals, measurement goals, walking goals, you name it. My next biggest goal is to be down to Onederland by December 17th. That is 18 pounds away. About two weeks into this journey I got invited to go to Bali (close to you Aussies!) with free accommodations and food, I just had to come up with airfare. Well, I couldnt turn that down but wanted to be healthier to enjoy myself and see the sights. So I have that 50 pound goal by a certain time but if I dont make it I am still getting on that plane! And when I return the rest of the goals will fall into place, no matter if it takes two years. I keep the mini goals in my phone, right along with rewards! Highly recommend it if you havent tried it yet!

@joans1976 That is so great! I love that your goals are not just about weight loss but other health indicators. I hope you really enjoy your trip to Bali, whether or not you hit your 50lb goal I'm sure you'll have an awesome time!
A few years ago, I made a goal ladder that I still use today. It is all about the scale of course, but it's fun to see the goals pass because I included lots of random things like "Lost half of the Complete Oxford English Dictionary" and "Lost 264 bananas!" and "Weigh the same as Serena Williams" lol. I had forgotten just how many rungs I put on this ladder so thanks for the nudge to check it out again. I always know what my current rung is (thanks to the Google sheet I set up) and how far to the next rung (which is never more than a pound away) but I'd forgotten all the more random things!

I’ve got my calories and logging under control, my macros somewhat under control, my water intake under control. Now, I want to lower my sodium intake and up my daily step goal! I have a doctors appointment at the end of the month and would like some good news….I know I have a long way to go but I have to get there some time.

    OSW: 250
    UGW: 150
    CW: 220
    8/31 GW: 214
    Mini goal: 218

    8/1: 220
8/2: 220 Increased my step count ✅ Stayed under my sodium goal ✅
    Sore back today 😞
8/3: 219.5 Met my step count but didn’t increase, went 45 mg over sodium 🤷🏻‍♀️
    8/4: 220 Under step goal ✖️Under sodium goal✅
8/5: 219.5 under step goal✖️over sodium goal✖️Work was a nightmare, barely slept, ugh! 3 days off now, hoping to decompress and reset!
8/6 219.5 Yesterday was a really tough day, didn’t hit any of my goals except water
    8/7: 218
8/8: 218 I have hit my mini goal of 218 and this means I have gone from Class 3 Obesity to Class 2. I have mixed emotions about this….
8/9: 219 just a pound, I can deal with it

Welcome. I also use my computer. I save a note page (in save it in Microsoft word) and pull it up daily and add my new weight, comments, advice etc. and post in the Leave a comment box at the bottom of the challenge page. I haven’t seen most of them in 45 years except in my heart. This will involve travel and food, and I am admittedly very anxious about how I’ve aged and how I look, but I’ve missed them for too long!

8/3: 184.5 lbs ⬇️ Wednesday is my usual weigh-in. Nothing to add. A bit overwhelmed by pending appointments this month. Then travel by air with my 83 dad with Parkinsons. Fretting already. I know that is not helpful healthwise. But take a deep breath and move one foot forward.

8/5: 185 lbs ⬆️ under calorie target but had salty carbs.

Mary 65 from Pennsylvania. Goal weight 122 lbs. Was there in 2009/10 and kept it off for about 5 years and got lazy. I do low Carb 15+/- 3 Net Carbs/day(My body seems to hang on to Carbs/not burn them),1000-1200 calories daily, 2 meals on my days off(3) and 3 meals on my work days (4, long hours) and I only exercise on my days off due to the long work days.
Heaviest weight: 255 lbs, twice :-(

9/14/20-255 lbs. Started a new job without a micromanager.
    5/3/21-240.5 lbs Emergency Gallbladder surgery
5/14/21-232.2 lbs. Started MFP, low carb and calorie restricted diet while recovering. Actively trying to lose now.
    6/1/21-228.8 lbs
    7/1/21-222.2 lbs
    8/1/21-212 lbs
    9/1/21-200 lbs
    10/1/21-191.4 lbs

    12/1/21-176.2 lbs
    1/1/22-168 lbs
    2/1/22-157.4 lbs
    3/1/22-155 lbs
    4/1/22-156.4 lbs
    5/1/22-158.8 lbs :-(
    6/1/22-152.2 lbs :-)
    7/1/22-157.4 lbs :-(
    8/1/22-167.2 lbs :-(
Current weight: 167.2 lbs (Lowest recent weight was 147.6 lbs on 4/6 & 4/7)

    Daily Goals:

    🌱Drink @ least 90 ounces of water
🌱Plan meals and log in advance
    🌱Log honestly and consistently
🌱Eat at or under my calorie goal

I have put over 2000+ miles on it since 1/3/22. I'm the only one that uses it. I bought it in 2010 for $600-800. The ones comparable to it now are like $1200-1600.

    8/8/22-169.2 lbs
8/9/22-170.2 lbs I talked with the exercise repair guy. He can't come till Tuesday. :-( So I guess I need to do some different exercise.

@Niknacfitness Welcome! Anyone is welcome join anytime! 😁

@TwistedSassette Those are awesome goals! I would whine to my mom and say “I’ve only lost 5 pounds” and she would say “okay let’s go to the store and you can carry around a 5 pound bag of potatoes and see how only they are” lol
    I love the banana thing!

@ashleycarole Thank you! Some days I think “you’re still obese” but mostly I’m grateful for the weight to be gone. Part of the journey!
