73 years old (5'2")- My weight is all on my waistline (33”). I write stories: therefore my lifestyle is pretty much a "Couch Potato", Although, I do have an exercise room and use the treadmill when the clothes are not hanging off the handlebar. Basically, I need motivation. I am not a fan of sugary food but I do crave salty foods. I like a glass (or two) of wine for dinner but I have added ice to a 5oz glass and noticed I am drinking less. I mainly eat at home as my hubby is a great cook and I have never liked fast food. Thanks for this motivation !!!

    SW: 130.6
    GW: (Dec 17, 2022- 119)
    Day/Weight/Comment

9/4: 130.6 (AM: took clothes off treadmill-started drinking 8 glasses of water) PM walked on the treadmill watching a 1.5-hour movie and finished 8th glass of water. Company for dinner-too much food (kept at 5% glass of wine)

9/5 -130.6 (AM: clearly my scale does not understand the concept of counting backward to encourage the dieter). PM: Normally, I would not eat either breakfast (except for a cup of coffee) or Lunch. Today I added a Banana & oatmeal to my coffee and a hard-boiled egg for lunch. Still have Hummus and carrots or Edamame for snack-but have knocked off chips and crackers. I watched another movie while on the treadmill-now if only I could figure out how to walk on it and type on my computer at the same time. (½ Cornish hen, 5oz glass white wine, ½ cup baked bean, and ½ cup coleslaw for dinner)

9/6-131.6 AM: I absolutely HATE my scale!!! I decided, after kicking it across the room, that I would name it “Damn it” Hopefully that has scared it enough to produce better results tomorrow. PM: This afternoon I walked around the Mall, with my daughter, looking for clothes for my upcoming trip to Key West. The outing reminded me why I want to lose weight. However, since when did the Mall decide to only cater to young women size 0 who love to expose their stomachs? Consumed 1200 calories today. It makes no sense for me to be gaining weight; so I am beginning to wonder if the medication I started on the 4th for sleep is sabotaging my weight loss. I will skip it tonight. (Looking for any excuse)
***I am guessing I am really "messing up" on how to edit and post new daily entries here. I must be “Myfitnesspal’ illiterate. I find it hard to believe I have to copy and paste each new entry.

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for almost 5 years with amazing results!

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

9/4 120.5 I got together with my “old” gal pals yesterday. Charcuterie board, “Buffalo” nuts and toffee nuts as well as a couple of adult beverages. I had “made” the nuts and discovered that a lot of the Buffalo seasoning was in the box so was ate some of that after I got home and drank lots of water. Perhaps I have retained some H2O but still no TMI. Maybe the excess water will help. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Not concerned
9/5 120.5 Great Greek yesterday and left overs today. DH surgery tomorrow. Still no TMI - stress related? Finally TMI long after weighing.
9/6 120.0 Leaving in 30 minutes to take DH for shoulder replacement.
9/7 120.5 Surgery went well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Now to survive the recovery! heehee **Headache, upset stomach and much TMI - sure this is stress related
