Hi. My goal by the end of December is to be firmly off this plateau I've resided on since Jan 1st. Wt has bounced same 4 lbs up and down. Am an active sr. but have to be mindful of how much I push myself to avoid flaring hip and knee issues.
Last nite was a huge win for me. Didn't eat anything after dinner. yeah! This'll be the key to my wt loss success.
Oct 1st: 164.2
Oct 8th: 163.8
Oct 13th: Was stuck on a plateau of 163, then up and down 1 lb. Now have shifted to a plateau of 165!
And it's midway thru October. Unfortunately this is a pattern.
Today / this evening, I HAVE to remember all the lessons, all the tools I have to get thru today as my first totally on plan day in ages.

11/13-198.2-(Trend Weight: 199.2)- Expected bloat but it’s never nice to see it on the scale. I traveled a little this past week and managed to keep the weight down which is unusual for me so I’m proud of that. 2 more days of travel this week so I am going to try hard to continue to resist all the big city temptations. This lady from a very rural Amish town has a very hard time resisting all the offerings a large city holds. You miss things like donuts, bagels, chain restaurants, steak houses, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican. We have none of that. So the goal is to eat half and bring the rest home for the next day. When I do that (and I stay away from amazing desserts) I don’t do too badly (even with so much driving/sitting). Be good to yourself Donna and keep it under control!
11/20-199.6-(Trend Weight: 198.7)- You can tell by my trend weight that I had a pretty good week with my weight finally going down a bit. However, the last two days I ate Chinese food brought in by my daughter (split a meal into two days). Sodium and normal non-medication bloat showed up on the scale this morning. I’ll work on it.

I'm down exactly 2 pounds this week and for a foody holiday week, I think it's great. December will be tough but I’m up for the challenge!

12/01-198.4-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- Starting the month on a bloat day and after travel. The cardiology appt went very well. I don’t have to go back for 6 months. The goal now is to do the cardiac rehab for 12 weeks, twice per week. Also, to work on lowering my cholesterol. Of course, losing weight always helps so the journey continues for a healthier lifestyle and a healthier heart.

He will be here again today before heading back downstate later today. I will plan my snacks more carefully. This week will be filled with several days of travel which will mess up the pattern of my waterpill. I think at one point it will be 3 days in a row without it. I expect my weight on the scale to be hard to follow this week.

12/11-198.2-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- I have not been doing so good this week due to so much travel. I have began cardiac rehab and will be traveling twice per week for that. At least they will put me on some machines (with an EKG on) which may help mitigate the damage from all the sitting/driving. Lunch will be out on those days so I will get plenty of practice learning some self-control in the big city. This is an opportunity to prove to my weak side that I can do this. I can strengthen my heart and lose weight at the same time, even with the new challenges. It’s December though…… humph……

My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.
CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 15 pounds to land at 183.4

12/11-198.2-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- I have not been doing so good this week due to so much travel. I have began cardiac rehab and will be traveling twice per week for that. At least they will put me on some machines (with an EKG on) which may help mitigate the damage from all the sitting/driving. Lunch will be out on those days so I will get plenty of practice learning some self-control in the big city. This is an opportunity to prove to my weak side that I can do this. I can strengthen my heart and lose weight at the same time, even with the new challenges. It’s December though…… humph……
12/18-199.0-(Trend Weight: 198.2)- My days are loaded with travel since I started Cardiac Rehab and because of all the Christmas shopping. Living in a small rural Amish town is tough on the diet & exercise plans when so much travel is required. I’m enjoying the Christmas season but January is something I am beginning to look forward to for sure. This upcoming week filled with baking and candy making will be the toughest.

12/25-198.6-(Trend Weight: 198.5)- A little lighter than last week but it has been up & down all week which explains the trend weight being up. Ah….the joys of baking! I am way up from December’s start weight. I’m not too happy about that! Maybe I can make some improvement by the last day of the month. Merry Christmas.
