11/04: 111.3kg Today I helped out with my sisters kids again. I was excited to have a few extra calories, but having a few nibbles here and there really threw out my calorie deficit. I had chicken on rice from a sushi place, had half a crossiant, jam on bread, crackers and a few other things. I was very hungry all day, possibly from my period. I got over 10,000 steps but it wasn't enough to make up for all the extra eating I did. There was also quite a bit of guesswork so I've either done better or worse than calculated. My treadmill was set up, but it started making angry noises after I had plugged it in for a few hours. I really wish I could go to the gym or something. It's daylight savings but I don't feel like going for a third walk.

    Previous Day's Comments
11/03: 109.8kg Today was okay. I spent the first half of the day feeling sick, but had cheered up and felt refreshed and well again by the afternoon. I walked the dog for the first time in four days. I experianced a new low weight, the lowest this year and in the last five years. I had three bad days (calorie wise) in the last ten day challenge and learned that you can still lose weight when you made one or two bad decisions. I thought I went over like 6,000 calories each day but I was obviously wrong. I got my period for the first time in over six months which was a bit of a bummer. Also learned that my cousin has moved nearby, so I have a possible walking and coffee buddy. He's also a chef, so that's fun.

@Lunalovefool Your body needs a rest day every 1-3 days to recover.

When I was your age, or younger, I ate a similar super high carb diet - starting with toast or cereal in the morning with my kids. That spiked my insulin which soon plummeted and I was hungry again so ate more carbs. Up and down with “sugar” boosts and drops. Your body converts those carbs to sugar. Over the long haul, this is not good for your body. Eat protein snacks - hard boiled eggs? Hard cheese such as cheddar? They don’t peak your insulin like carbs and satisfy longer. Just saying from a lifetime of experience-not a medical professional.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.

People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for almost 5 years with amazing results!

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
