Hi, everyone! I am a 45 year-old female. I am 5'4" married with four kids and a new full-time job since January. Physically, I am a two-time cancer survivor, I have Hypothyroidism, and Plantar Fasciitis. I struggle with planning meals, overindulging in carbs, not finding time to exercise, and being consistent, but I have a good heart and am always grateful for every moment I have, even the frustrated ones. Lol!
My goals for March:
☘️C25K program 3x week - Walk 3xweek
☘️Strength Training 3x week
☘️ZUMBA Saturdays
☘️Pre-plan meals and log food everyday
☘️Take thyroid med everyday
☘️Increase Water Intake

03/20-188.6-(Trend Weight 190.4)- I had to cancel the appointments today out-of-town for cardiac rehab and the weird dietician. My blood pressure was running too low all day and night yesterday and the readings were continually abnormal. There was no way I could go to rehab and push myself. The average reading was 81/41 all day. I licked salt off my hand all day and pushed the water. Most of my day was on the couch with my feet elevated over my heart. I took it easy in a pajama day and had no exercise and very little movement, thus the uptick. Today will be another “take it easy day” as the lack of blood pressure can starve my organs of blood and oxygen. I don’t want anything to shut down or be taxed in any way. Hopefully it will improve today so I don’t have to make that trip to the hospital. We don’t have a hospital in my area or county.
03/21-188.6-(Trend Weight 190.3)- I am feeling better today and have managed to raise my bp up to about 100/60 which is better. I have not taken one of my bp meds in two days so that may be helping. I have stuck to my diet plan but am only burning between 1800-1900 calories laying around and taking it easy so no movement on the scale. I did hop on the exercise bike late last night for 20 minutes and felt okay afterward. I’ll probably do that again today. I need to burn some calories, but also to stay conditioned for my rehab Thursday so the workout there doesn’t kill me! I’ve been sticking to my diet plan real well but boy oh boy, did I ever wake up hungry today! It’s going to be challenging!

@deepwoodslady That sounds scary. Is you blood pressure often that low?
I have my bi-weekly Ladies Bible Study tonight at church. Often I either don’t know what the dinner is in advance or the dinner is something really high calorie or rich. This time we’re having a homemade salad bar, grilled chicken, and homemade dressings. The salad dressing is going to be the only real problem this time so I’m just taking some from home. I’m so happy that the plan is for a lighter meal option for once. Those ladies running it can cook so well and it makes keeping to tiny portions and calorie counting so hard.
I know what you mean but our church hasn't had a many dinner since COVID so that's a good thing for me.1 -

Bible study dinner changed but it still worked out well. They did a sandwich bar instead of a salad bar. I just got a few lettuce leaves, tomato slices, turkey slices and made myself some lettuce wraps. Then I got a bunch of the fruit. Since I didn’t have any bread I allowed myself a small piece of chocolate pound cake (which came with strawberries and whipped cream). Definitely worth skipping the bread for that. Since I brought a light salad dressing from home I was able to dip my wraps in that too.
@deepwoodslady So glad you were feeling better yesterday.

Good morning!
Yesterday I put my new appliance through its paces and had a lot of fun. If anyone wants to know what I got, it is a Bella Pro Series - Countertop Indoor Non-Stick Electric Grill. It is normally $60 at Best Buy but I had found a deal on it for $20. For lunch, I grilled zucchini, peppers, onions, and leftover pot roast. Seasoned it all with a garlic jalapeno spice blend. Then put it on a Joseph’s multigrain lavash wrap, added some tzatziki, rolled it up, and grilled it all together. A panini wrap sort of thing. Grilled burrito. I don’t know. It was tasty though. Then for dinner we had burgers on the indoor grill. With them I made a slightly spicy sauce using Peri-Peri seasoning, salt, hickory smoke powder (like liquid smoke but powder form), lemon juice, and water. I put it over more zucchini, peppers, and onions. Grilled them again. Then I made a baked potato in the microwave, gave it 5 spritzes of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray and topped it some of that spicy sauce too. I’m really enjoying playing with my new appliance…. Can you tell? LOL

☘️Strength Training 3x week
☘️ZUMBA Saturdays
☘️Pre-plan meals and log food everyday
