It was storming and raining early this morning. It’s been pretty windy the past couple of days but nothing like our neighbors to the south experienced. I met a couple of friends at 9:00 am after the rain had passed through and we ran 8 miles.

@katharmonic – Sounds like you are doing great with your surgery and are well on the road to recovery. I know it’s not as easy as you made it sound. You hang in there and keep on keeping on!

@Laurz9191 – Good luck with your race!

Happy Birthday to your beautiful wife @Tarun_yadavA!

@chris_in_cal - Did your doctor release you? Hope you are healing well.

    Morning everyone!
Got in my 9K. Bit of a struggle.
Bad eating and a few beers/cocktails catching up with me.
Friday - Mediterranean, yesterday - Indian, today- Italian. Feel it's getting progressively 'heavier' and unhealthier. Back to salads and hummus tomorrow! Lol

I played league tennis at noon today, with someone else I had never played with before. She was pretty good and we were hanging in there for the first set, but fell apart in the second. We lost 3-6, 1-6. The first set was closer than the score, as most of the games were duce games. We had a fifth player today that just loved to make the ball go in odd directions and speeds - her name was WINDY. It was 70F (21C), according to Garmin, with wind speed of 21 mph (32kph) - it was gusty so sometimes it was harder than that. Would have been perfect weather without the Windy. I traversed 1.1 miles today during the match.

When I got home, I did a 2.25 mile walk on the treadmill. I ran just a tiny bit to get my HR up to 120. It stayed higher today. I wonder if not having had much to eat all day would make my HR higher? I did drink, so shouldn't have been dehydrated. For tennis, my avg HR was 115 with a max of 140 bpm. The walk was avg 111 with a max of 128 bpm.

I wish Windy would get the heck out of town! Sounds like you had fun playing anyway.

Recovery miles today in the rain. I haven't been running on Sunday since I dropped back to 5 days a week. I missed my run on Friday so rescheduled to today. I really like having a short recovery run on Sunday. I may rework my schedule to do that as much as I can. It also frees up another day during the week, which can be nice for weeks where I have a lot of early shifts.

Congratulations on your race and your PB @Laurz9191! I love the "medal"! I think you will have no problem running the marathon in the fall.

Congrats @Laurz9191 on your HM PR! You can definitely do a full if you train for it. I'm not going to lie, it's hard, but that feeling of accomplishment is worth it.

Way to go @Laurz9191! Congratulations on your PB! The City Hall is beautiful and I love that wooden medal. Remember how one time, we thought running an entire mile was impossible? And then a 5K? Then a half? Now a marathon! As @Scott6255 said, set up your training plan and follow it and you will be ready come race day.
