DH typing out the three new clues for the final, garden, part of the Egg Hunt. What a star!
Mostly ready for tomorrow. Cheat's aioli to make, and puffy pittas and Icelandic preserved lamb, to get out of the freezer. I hope the kids will eat some of it.
Hmm. Should I get out the gluten free frankfurters?
Hope I sleep tonight. Legs aching.

I’m reading a book that I am enjoying very much, Virgin River, by Robyn Carr. I’m not quite half way along.
I have read this book a couple of years ago and am enjoying it again. The sequel will also be a good read.
Happy Easter Sunday—

Long day here today. I was up for a long time in the middle of the night, so am tired today. As Carol mentioned it has been rainy all day and a little colder rain than you might expect for this time of year. I ventured out twice and this last time I got some salmon for dinner tonight. I also purchased some flowers to bring to my son's in laws tomorrow. I think I will read for a couple of hours and then listen to some of the Brave's game. I did purchase some hanging baskets of petunias and they look pretty as I come into the drive.
Best,
Rosemarie from ga

Took a drive with my sister to go see the San Luis reservoir which was dangerously low when I saw it when we first moved back. With all this rain, I wanted to see how full it got. It was back up to what I remembered when I was a kid, it was beautiful to see. We went to Casa de Fruta to have breakfast then rode back. She took me by where we used to live where mom ran a boarding house. The house is not there but she took me to the spot where it used to be. I was too young. I wasn’t going to school then.

Good evening ladies!
I seem to be taking a bit of an Easter break with my diet, and my exercise slipped a bit too. But tonight I did twenty minutes on my bike and then the whole dumbbells routine. Yay!
Tomorrow I will eat a little extra for Easter but Monday it's back on the wagon.
We aren't doing much for Easter. My Dad keeps pushing us to go to church, but it's not going to happen. Hope all of you who celebrate have a lovely time!

Machka thanks for the feedback on tinnitus. I have a friend that has a lot of trouble with it and he also gets vertigo along with it at times. I think along with my using ear plugs I think I started getting bouts of both tinnitus and vertigo when we crossed the mountain on our trips to and from San Diego. I still notice it a little now after we went over the mountains to get here. I think from my ear drums popping from the pressure.

If someone is experiencing it every day, I recommend going to an audiologist for a full hearing and balance test.

Proven Ways to Improve Your Life Immediately

Slow mfp changing pages continues even after turning “Enhanced Tracking Protection” Off. Fooey. No big Easter feast here, no family, Joe and I eat at such different times. Did boil up some freezer purge corned beef with potatoes, carrots and cabbage. Joe surprised me by saying he’ll eat some of the left overs, he’s been so off meat lately. Prepped veggies for fellowship tomorrow but haven’t made any dip. Do I dare make roquefort dip or should I just pick up some hummus on my way to church?
Allie “Greatest Story Ever Told” was one of my favorite movies, sound track too. Prayer said for your brother. That Seth looks like a charmer, Carmine so delicately pretty.
Rosemarie cleaning and taking off pounds? Well done!
Machka our “rhodies” are blooming now despite not getting much sun… but may not be a good choice for you, something about honey from bees that feed on rhododendrons being toxic.
Margaret flowering plants for the Target break room and fire station, what a kindness!
Michele what is pineapple casserole?
Pip seeing the reservoir full. This drought has been so scary.

ACTIVE APRIL1. Commit to being more active this month starting today. Yes!
2. Spend as much time as possible outdoors today. Yes!
3. Listen to your body and be grateful for what it can do. Yes! I can garden, which requires all sorts of body motion, and cycle.
4. Eat healthy and natural food today and drinks lots of water. Yes! Ate my usual food and drank lots of water up till about 8 pm. We won't talk about what happened after that.
5. Turn a regular activity into a playful game today. Hmmm ... Walking around the shops? Climbing stairs?
6. Do a body-scan meditation and really notice how your body feels. Achy.
7. Get natural light early in the day. Dim the lights in the evening.
There isn't much light early in the day here. Plus I was sleeping then. Plus it was cloudy, drizzly and rainy all day.
But I do dim the lights in the evening. It's one of many steps I take to wind down in the evenings to prepare myself for the night.
8. give your body a boost by laughing or making someone laugh
I rarely laugh. Most things don't strike me funny.
Lots of things amuse me, but not enough for laughter.
9. Turn your housework or chores into a fun form of exercise
I often do, but as today's work involved sitting at 2 computers, I walked on the treadmill during a break instead.11. Have a day with less screen time and more movement
12. Set yourself an exercise goal or sign up to an activity challenge
17. Move as much as possible, even if you’re stuck inside
18. Make sleep a priority and go to bed in good time
19. Relax your body & mind with yoga, tai chi or meditation.
20. Get active by singing today (even if you think you can’t sing)
21. Go exploring around your local area and notice new things
22. Be active outside. Dig up weeds or plant some seeds
23. Try a new online exercise, activity or dance class.
24. Spend less time sitting today. Get up and move more often.
25. Focus on eating ‘a rainbow of multi-colored vegetables today.
26. Regularly pause to stretch and breathe during the day.
27. Enjoy moving to your favorite music. Really go for it.
28. Go out and do an errand for a loved one or neighbor.
29. Get active in nature. Feed the birds or go wild-life spotting.
30. Have a ‘no screens’ night and take time to recharge yourself.
31. Take an extra break in your day and walk outside for 15 minutes
32. Find a fun exercise to do while waiting for the kettle to boil (or pan of water.)
33. Meet a friend outside for a walk and a chat.
34. Become an activist for a cause you really believe in
35. Make time to run, swim, dance, cycle or stretch today

Sunday --
Spent the day listening to hymns and organising files on two of my computers.
I did take a break to walk 5.75 km in an hour on the treadmill.
It's been a cold, drizzly, windy day with snow on the mountain.
I have the heat blasting away at 18C (64F) and I'm actually wearing a lightweight dressing gown over my sleeveless tank top.

Good Morning and Happy Easter ladies
I broke down and took some nyquil and slept like a rock.
I told you I had gotten Tracy a gift card to there favorite burger place here in town so I guess when the kids got back from there walk. Tracy used the rest of the gift card to get them burgers so they were happy campers..
I have a feeling Seth will be on the scene more often lol
But if it calms things down ..hey im all for it...4 -
Perfect peace! The egg hunt went brilliantly, although there was a tiny bit of squabbling over the spoils. Not a lot. They really enjoyed DH's clues.
Lunch was much enjoyed and appreciated. Chaotic, but it was great to give my son a break from hosting.
Afterwards we all ambled down to the seafront and played on the beach. The much promised sunshine had disappeared and we had sea mist. But still a great day.
Now they are all off to the other grandparents for 5 nights.
I put the skin and hones from the chicken back in the stock and gave it another 25 mins in the IP. Avgolemono is calling our name for dinner. Then the last third of last nights frittata.
I can feel a nap coming on. My son and DDIL did take some photos, so will post them when they arrive.
Much love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx6 -

Yesterday was simply stunning! Had the windows open for a bit. So nice to finally experience spring. It took its own sweet time getting here.
9. Turn your housework or chores into a fun form of exercise... NOT TODAY! Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter all! Easter here, is going to be pretty low key. My DYS is house/dog sitting for our DOS and his girlfriend, while they spend time in NC with her family. It is just DH and I. I asked if he wanted a big Easter dinner and he told me not to bother. He is happy with whatever I want to make/do for Easter. I wasn't planning to buy a ham, but as I did my grocery shop yesterday, I noticed all of the hams on sale. I found a small one at a good price and bought it mainly for the bone. For DH and I, our favorite part of Easter dinner is the ham and bean soup that is made from the bone and leftover ham. lol
Yesterday I did my shopping and cleaning, took a long shower; spent some time exfoliating and also shaved my legs. I felt all sparkly and shiny yesterday! I have already been in contact with my DH's family. I will call my siblings a bit later.
My DD had quite the day, yesterday. Her middle son, Miguel (age 3), is a very reluctant potty trainee. He is using the bathroom at school and wore underwear to school all this week with no accidents. HOWEVER, when he gets home, he has accidents. I explained to her that that sensation to have to go potty is one of the last neuro connections that is made in toddlers. That sensation is overridden by whatever else is holding their interest. Crafts, play, screentime, food...At age 3, for most kids, making it to the bathroom is the least important thing to do. I am sure, in Miguel's case, without the reminder from teacher's and other friends using the potty, it just doesn't even enter his mind. Anyway, she was tired yesterday (understandably, after working all week and then parenting all night) and she let the boys play and watch tv. Well, Miguel had four pee accidents in his underwear throughout the course of the day and as a grand finale...he flooded the bathroom at the end of the day when he finally made it to the toilet to pee. He was washing his hands and he put the stopper down in the sink and left the water on just a bit. DD didn't realize what was going on until she picked up the baby who was in the hall crying and she stepped in a puddle of water in the hall. DD yelled, "MIGUEL!" and Miguel peeked around the corner, scowled at her, crossed his arms in front of his chest and yelled, "I'M IN BIG TROUBLE!" and stomped off to his room. LOLOLOL
I have been eating good this week and I am quite proud of myself. Spaghetti squash, zucchini, peppers, onions, cucumbers, lettuce, broccoli, peas, mushrooms, brown rice, lentils, black beans, garlic, cilantro, carrots, green onions, cabbage, berries, yogurt, eggs. I have even been able to have a glass of wine each evening. My water intake is down a few ounces, but a lot of my veg are in broth soups and/or contain a lot of water (like lettuces and cukes). I have been walking a bit more this week and as an added exercise; see spoilerAs I have been going through menopause, I have become quite sensitive to tags, constrictive clothing, my hair on my neck, etc...and it just gets worse at night. I spend a lot of time tossing, adjusting sleep wear, and losing sleep because of it. With DYS gone, I told DH that I was going to sleep naked and see if that helps with my sleep situation. Well, I have had company every night. With DYS house/dog sitting since Thursday and gone through Monday eve, DH and I have been able to enjoy our alone time a bit more. Nothing helps you burn some calories better than be chased around the bed a few times. lolWell, today is paperwork day. I have about two hours of paperwork to do to get ready for a review tomorrow. Blah. But the sun is shining and it looks like it will be in the 50s this afternoon! I am going to get a bit of yard work done (mainly just picking up branches from last weeks storm), Then I think a walk will be in order. Maybe DH and I will head down to the beach...ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)9 -
