And then he pre mowed for daddy before he got home lol.
Getting together with dear friends for a picnic Sunday and I get to bring Miles..5 -
I have have a sore throat & drippy nose—No fun. Then I remembered an excellent product that has been helpful in the past, Peppermint Tea. I’m currently sipping my second cup. It helps. 💖

I hope everyone enjoys there memorial day weekend and remember why we celebrate..
Im having some neck strain so will relax and go to bed early.. got all my running done today. Tomorrow is laundry and trying to do some cleaning.
Daddy runs the lawn mower and this is what happens lol..
Carmine has a contraband phone someone has lent her and ,all her devices have been taken away because she has abused the privileges in school.so she had this phone stashed and lied to her parents and Tracy found it ,and took that one away.
So Carmine stormed iut of the house screaming and yelling ..and now us refusing to take her meds..
She went down to her grandfather's. So at least she is safe. But can't stay there forever.3 -
Lordie, Allie, I'm sorry for their little family. Teenager-raising is hazardous stuff, especially in the internet age. No wonder Tracy looks worn out in that picture. Hope things work out soon, but a weekend apart might make everyone a little less tired...0

PIP: Happy Birthday! Nice gift from the chlldren!
Heather: Love the painting!
Rori: Love seeing your feet in the channel!
Karen: Hope you get a second wind about putting your house on the market!
Machka: Glad you like your work!
Beth: Hope the trail cams work!
RVRita: Glad your feeling better!
MargaretTurk: Hope your DH's eye surgery goes well!
Fancy0626: I didn't follow the entire situation, but I hope everything gets resolved for you!
Lisa, Thanks for noticing I was missing. Actually I took notes on 5 pages and never got them posted! I was saddened about the passing of Tina Turner. I loved her energy! Thinking about the people in Guam! I have been working on my house! I have all the clutter in mostly one room now and I am thinking it will take 40 hours to go through it all. I simply don't have room for some of the stuff I am trying to hold onto!
I am going to MA next week for a graduation and to see my 92 year old Mom! I really want to stay home and work on the house, but once I am there I will enjoy everyone. We might take a Boston Duck Tour which will go into the Charles River for 20 minutes!
I toured a hydrangea farm with some friends here in GA. The owner goes up to Cape Cod to get many of his hydrangeas.
Best,
Rosemarie from GA6 -

Good evening ladies!
Today I ate 1163 calories, much better, Yay! And I did twenty minutes on the bike, and an hour of yoga, and thirty minutes of aerobic walking. Yay! For a deficit of 418. Yay!

Beth, thanks for thinking of me. I’ve been skimming posts but not replying. Super busy with conference stuff right now.
My feelings are all over the place regarding my weight loss/get healthy journey. I’ll try to post more next week. I’ll be tied up tomorrow with family responsibilities that I could rant about, but I won’t.7 -
My oldest grandchild is turning 17!

Karen - adorable photo!!! I'm guessing he is swimmer Jillian's brother. If so I recall when he was much younger, and you helped tutor him a little. Time goes so fast.

Karen - What a lovely looking boy... You look so joyful in this picture, too.3

I thought there were a dozen things to get done today, but the only one I can remember now is laundry. I should have made a list!

I always have a list on the go, but even so, I'm sitting here thinking I've forgotten something.
You were going to make sure your new laptop worked for your Sunday ZOOM.

I'm down another 0.8 kg from last weekend ... 3 kg (6.6 lbs) from mid-March.
I've also been cutting back on food, and I'm just a little bit hungry some of the time, but that's OK.
I had a look at my overstuffed dressing room. I have a lot of clothes, in different sizes, because I have been different sizes over the years. However, I don't have a lot of clothes at the size I was in mid-March. I bought a few, but then it dawned on me that I've got lots of clothes, and if I wanted to save myself some money, I could try losing a bit of weight ... then I might fit into more clothes.
It usually takes me at least a 10 kg loss to move down a size. I had just started buying a few things at Size 20 (Australia) ... so hopefully shortly I will be fitting nicely into my Size 18 clothes again.
For reference, these are a couple size comparison charts ...
I use PlantSnap app to identify plants. I can check 3 or 5 (I forget) plants a day for free.
Machka in Oz
thanks for the name of the app- putting it on my phone now.
Need to look into it more- don't see where I can get more than just a three day trial but have to pay to start it then cancel before the trial is over
When I open it, it comes up with a Start Free Trial page, so I click Cancel in the top right corner, and then I can use it for a few plant checks each day.

Mary - what a mess. I hope some resolution is found soon. Maybe waiting to post it for a bit would be helpful.
Allie - can there be an exception made? My cousin was able to get one when her granddaughter attended school in her area.
I just saw the latest, I feel so bad for everyone. They need some more help for sure.
Lisa - yes it is a first interview. I don’t know if I’ll volunteer to do the mowing again anytime soon.
Heather - I am not unusually drawn to abstract, but I love the colours.
Rosemarie - I think I’ll be organizing and such too while I’m off.
Machka - I thought I read somewhere that they proven that multitasking is actually worse than doing a single task? It will take a long time for society to change though if they did.
I am not feeling the best tonight, I may be going to a medi centre tomorrow.

Thankful I checked email at oh dark thirty Wednesday. There was a reminder for my eye appointment Friday. Yeah, not Wednesday. Had it wrong on my calendar. :{ So grateful I didn’t get all the way to Medford on the wrong day. Sure didn’t want to be traveling Friday before Memorial Day weekend, If I’d needed to spend the night accommodations would be few and $pendy. They graciously postponed appointment to the day after Independence day, at [gulp] 7am. It really is ok, I far prefer driving 199 in the dark, that way the oncoming trucks’ headlights give me advance warning.
Lanette me too, replenished the car stash of raw almonds. Helps before grocery shopping
Machka just hoping compatibility with Windows 10 doesn’t go away in my lifetime
Terri & KJ re Tina Turner, amen, sisters, amen.
Rori & Heather thank you for sharing your adventures and pics. Almost feel like I was nearby.
Mary I really like “Picture This”. It does pop up offering/asking you to sign up for a “free” 7 day trial, but instead of taping “continue”, wait a moment for the “cancel” to appear at top right, and tap there. You can identify but not save plants with the free version.
Pip Yogi and Chispas get allowances? That Kirby is a gem!
Debbie thanks for the update on Kylia! Thought of you at Grocery Outlet today. Intended to spend around twenty, ended up spending seventy but very pleased with purchases. They had the Cooper Street biscotti (30 cals each only 2.5 g sugar) for the first time in a couple of years and I grabbed 3 bags. Also our favorite roasted garlic olive oil. Took a chance on a bag of Blue Diamond dark chocolate/chili almond mix ups for only $1.99/8 oz. They are YUMMY. Going back to get a few more bags to stash for when I want to CHOMP something salty and sweet.
Heather I like your painting, their choice of counter top not so much
Allie ((hugs)) no wisdom here just ((hugs)) and ditto Lisa’s take-care-of-Allie concern.
Rosemarie good to see you posting. It would take me WAY more than 40 hours to sort through a roomful of clutter. Brava!
Annie Yay you! I feel you about the new laptop. Our cable/internet company sent new equipment and I’ve let it sit for a week. Dread changing out wifi router and reconnecting all the devices. Maybe tomorrow morning when Joe goes to town…
Karen that’s the grandson you learning-coached? Delighted to see him (and you) looking so happy.
Tracey so glad you’re interviewing for new job. You will be a valuable asset to whatever company is fortunate enough to hire you.

This is Jillian’s older brother Griffin. I was his Learning Coach in 7th and 8th grade (Sept 2018-May 2020) when he was enrolled in remote public school (VAVA). It was a rewarding, challenging, frustrating struggle. I was worried about him going to brick and mortar HS. In the meanwhile, Covid happened, and he was home with a tutor for most of 9th grade and part of 10th grade (Sept 2020 - Jan 2022).
To his credit, he gradually adapted to the neurotypical world enough to get along in it.
Now he is attending brick & mortar public HS, finishing 11th grade, taking 2 AP classes, learning German, and has a bunch of wonderfully weird friends.
He isn’t a swimmer like Jillian, but with a recent growth spurt, a decision to give up sodas, and regular walking, he is slim and trim. And tall! I love his curly hair.

Morning ladies
Yup im awake at the butt crack of dawn but will probably go back to sleep.
Yes Carmine was back within the hour..
Hopefully she will just stay in her room this weekend.
She does this to herself..
I know poor Tracy is just exhausted from all of this.

I met my walking goal for the month!
Today, I wielded my mattock hacking up the garden bed. And we planted one of the two remaining bushes. I have a blister!!
Then I rowed for 20 minutes and walked on the treadmill for a little over half an hour.

I can understand why Mary wants to post it. It is prime time for tourists in that area. Fishing is a big deal in Minnesota and as Mary said the lakes in that area are prime fishing lakes. The priority now is to remove the tenant with the least amount of hassle possible.5

Good morning all! Yesterday was my first day off of my four day weekend. I have things I need to get done this weekend; but yesterday I just rested. It felt wonderful. Then...my older sister called. She has been in the hospital for the past couple of days due to abdominal pain. She has diverticulitis and so she and her docs have figured that was the cause of the pain. Just to be sure, they took many tests/scans. Found "spots/lesions" on her lung and in different areas in her abdomen. Most likely first course of action will be biopsy of spots. Her doc was out for the holiday weekend and nothing would be scheduled/discussed until his return on Tuesday; so sis checked herself out of the hospital, until his return. Anyway, a large part of our discussion was me calming her down and being "mom" and using all sorts of phrases like "don't jump to conclusions", "don't think the worst", rest and stay calm. It could be something relatively easy to take care of... I hung up the phone and went into full blown panic/crying mode. I went to DH (which is something I have never done when I am hurting; not even when I lost my parents or my younger sister). I asked for a hug first, then while sobbing, told him what was going on. He sat with me holding my hands, while I just took deep breaths to calm down. It was good. I feel like me showing vulnerability helped him be more active (both mentally and physically). He did some laundry while I rested from that emotional outburst. He offered to go for a walk with me (which we did). He offered to pick up groceries for me. He projected our finances out a few months and came up with a "visitation plan" for me to take little trips to Florida to help, if need be. *sigh* Sometimes letting some one else be in control for a while, feels really good.
I am looking forward to some light gardening this weekend (I already got the beds and containers ready for plants). I will also be buying and hanging a couple of planters. I am thinking of Fuchsia as they attract so many birds and butterflies. I have a water table I need to assemble and put in the back yard for the kids. I also need to get the teepee structure made, because I have the pea plants and some bean plants ready to be planted and start their climb up the structure. Need to make a stop at Staples and have some copies made and have a few things laminated. On Sunday, DH's family is gathering for a bbq at his brother's house, just three miles down the road. So far only a dozen of us will be there. Big family (around 50; brothers/wives, nieces and nephews). I am okay with only a dozen people. lol I am also off on Monday and will use that day to rest.
Been reading and ooh-ing and ah-ing at the grands and the artwork/flowers/home photos. Love to you all. Safe travels home, Rori ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)9 -
Well Im guessing this daycare lady is blowing off Tracy ,as she said she would call her numerous times and has not..
So the search goes on.1 -
Good morning my friends!
Machka thanks, yes today is for the laptop. My mom might drag me to a picnic for an hour, and there's dumbbells tonight, but there should be time for most of it.
And Machka, great job on the exercise! You and Pip and Debby and Michele (and others) are awesome successes at the dedication to
exercise. So inspiring!

Did my only bit of gardening for the year today. Well, I bought the pelargoniums and DH did most of the work. Having one hand is a great excuse.
First we had to rescue the bulbs from our magnificent spring display. I kept the daffodil and crocus bulbs this year. Perhaps they will survive the summer in the cool garage. The tulips DH is replanting in the garden. We have had great success with that before. I will buy new tulip bulbs in the autumn, but try my reserved daffodils and crocus.
The pot is perfectly placed for us to enjoy them through our dining room window and there should be enough time for them to root a bit before we go away. I will recruit Edie to bully my son into watering them.
As I say, this pot is as much gardening as I can handle!!!! Everything else is a wild life sanctuary.
They will fill out and be amazing. The florist around the corner gave me a discount. 3 for £10.
Love Heather UK xxxxxx

Karen ~ You look so cute standing beside your tall grandson! He is a very handsome young man.
Rosemarie ~ I love hydrangeas. I bet you enjoyed seeing them.
Mary ~ I bragged about our now present good renter and then she called and asked us to hire an exterminator because she had ants in her pantry. That did me out of $75. We charge her about $600 less than Zillow says we should charge and it is beginning to really aggravate me.
My chest has been feeling tight off and on for days and I finally contacted my dr. and got an inhaler and singulair. I hope it works.
