    Original MFP starting weight (January 2018) - 168.2
    August 26 (Starting Weight): - 150.2 (10-day average 151.3)
    September goal - Get closer to the middle or lower end of maintenance weight.
    Ultimate goal - Range between 143 - 153

    I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.


    August 26 28 (away from scale on normal day): 150.2 (10-day average 151.3)
    September 2: 150.8 (10-day average 151.8)
    September 9: 150.8 (10-day average 152.0)
    September 16 13 (away from scale on normal day): 154.2 (10-day average 152.7)
    September 23 22 (away from scale on normal day): 154.6 (10-day average 152.8)
    September 30: 154.8 (10-day average 154.0)

    Total loss for September: I am up three pounds for the month. That's the wrong direction, and I'll just call it a failure since I am ending the month just up above my maintenance range.

    My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall.

    Start Weight (from Aug 31, 2023 ): 191.8
    Goal Weight: 187.8 (4 pound loss)
    End of Challenge Weight: 188.2

    Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)



    Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    09/26-187.6-(Trend Weight: 190.1)- I have exercised a little more and a little harder for most of this past week. On the food-front, most days I actually have a hard time eating enough calories. That seems very strange when I am eating a lot of healthy fat foods which tend to have more calories. I guess when they say that fat fills you up, it’s true. It must be helping me to cut my portions. Anyway, I am tweaking my MFP diary to make sure I get as close to my calorie goals as possible. I don’t want to slow up my metabolism by eating too little! I am still experimenting with zig-zagging too. It is going pretty well.

    09/30-188.2-(Trend Weight: 189.5)- I am pretty famous for self-sabotage, especially for final weigh-in’s, so here I am . However, I couldn’t undo it all in the last moments so I am proud that I am only 0.4 lbs shy of my four pound goal. It’s been a so-so month. Definitely I could have done better on some days. I’m ready to put the work in for October and to steer clear of the candy dishes as best as I can. I’m proud of everyone for showing up and for those that logged, exercised, made as many good choices as they could given their circumstances. I have enjoyed reading all the NSV’s too. I will see you all next round!


    Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    I'm super happy with my consistent tracking this month, and the scale moved in the right direction. Next month I plan to cut alcohol during the week and continue to track food consistently. Need more high protein snack ideas that aren't all dairy. Cottage cheese, string cheese and greek yogurt are my go-to's right now.
