    1) I still need to go to bed at a decent time. It will be hard because I have church group tonight and we tend to socialize after it is officially over. Which is not a bad thing since I live alone and need all the socializing I can get, but it is not good for my rest. The other thing that will make it hard is I am dog sitting for the next week, so after the church group lets out I will still need to take the dog out for a bit. Which won't take long, but is still a wrench in the plan (is that the saying?). ✅ I will just say I could have done worse.
    2) At said church group, I would like to be careful about what I eat. I don't want to be super rigid at social events like this, but I also don't want to use it as an excuse to make poor choices in what I put on my plate. ✅

    1) Exercise good bed time habits
    2) Give the dog a good walk.

Thanks to all who gave kind words on our pup.. Overall she is happy and comfortable for now and eating her new food just fine.. every day will be a gift with her at this point.

The internet is FINALLY resolved today!. It was hard to be without internet that long and operating off my hotspot for work.. the service tech showed up, and it was the router/modem. The company help desk actually caused the issue when the first outage happened over a week ago and they had me do a hard reset. Go figure. But now I have a new router and everything is working. (and they are not going to charge me a dime ) Halleluiah!

Took a class today for Silver sneakers (ha. for old people). It was a lot of fun.. and I also met so many nice ladies. Many of them were my age, or even younger, so I think it will be a good one to take. I didn't even sweat.. so its not that intense, but it does really help with stretching, and core muscles, which I think I need.
Had a better day food wise today, except for a bowl of ice cream tonite.. but I at least stopped with one bowl.
Tomorrow will be a new day.

    1. log my food
    2. concentrate on proteins, veggies, and fruits
    3. go to gym
    4. go to zumba class in the evening. This is something I am going to try and do... more classes. Zumba might be a bit much, but I'm going to try it.
    5. get back on here... be more accountable and get back on track.

@HappyDonkey75 - read about your little dog, but so happy to read your post tonite saying she is doing a little better. Our pets are our family... I will say a prayer that she has many good days (years).
@RuthanneBowers - I so understand about going to bed at a good time. I struggle with this as well... I tend to stay up way too late. I seem to want it both ways.. I want to get up early, but I can't stop in the evenings and go to bed either.
@littleblackskirt -- oh.. I am so sorry you are having back issues. I've had that before.. so very painful. I pulled a sciatic nerve in my leg and that is painful... but not nearly as bad as the back. Hoping you get some relief and feel better.
PackerFanInGB - let us know how the ct scan is! We will all be praying for good news. Hubby had his ct scan for his aneurysm... it has not changed in a year, so that was good news. Hoping you also get good news. And Im so happy you are taking the class at the Y... you will love it, and also, just the social aspect is so good. I get silver sneakers (ha.. a benefit of being old!), and I love it. I never thought I would enjoy exercising. But.. I am finding I am still getting so stiff just getting out of chairs, etc., so I just started a class for seniors, and there is another one I am also going to take.. most stretching, etc to stay as limber as possible. Oh.. the joys of getting older.

August was good for me, although the weight was much slower to shift than I expected.

September has been running away with me. 😝 All my groups have restarted, so I haven’t had much time to be online.

I will catch up over the next few days, if I can.

    Sept 2024: :

    ~ Continue with Solid Habits
    👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
    👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
    👌👌👌👌

~ Weigh less at the end of the month
    30 July: 142.1[/b]
    30 Aug: 140.2
    5 Sept: 140.1
    12 Sept: 140.1
    15 Sept: 139.1 Almost a whoosh 😜

I’m hoping that it continues. When I was first losing I often had a whoosh followed by a bounce up.

@mytime6630 I know what you mean about getting older. Every little setback seems to take longer to stabilise. So pleased that your hubby’s scan gave good news. I actually like exercise, but alas, I can’t do it to the level I would like anymore. One has to adapt to what is.

@HappyDonkey75 Happy for you that your fur baby is doing better. They are so important to us. Internet problems are the pits! I had a major problem in spring this year and got locked out of both my devices. (My own fault, not my provider). It took over 2 weeks before I was able to get it resolved.

@RuthanneBowers Agreed! Getting enough sleep is so important to our wellbeing.

@littleblackskirt Back issues are so wearing. I often have to use my heat pad of an evening.

@PackerFanInGB - Praying for good news after your scan.

    • Post weekly weigh-in on MFP for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I track daily on a separate app (for the visual). My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    • Take measurements & log on MFP every month end
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    • Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26. Ppl
      * lentil rice sausage tortellini soup (internet) ~ very good, recipe is keeper
      * glazed lemon cookies (internet search) ~ everyone loved them at Easter dinner
      * rhubarb cobbler (in my first ever cookbook BH&G) ~ very good, I want to try with other fruits this summer
      * yellow cake (BH&G cookbook) ~ I followed instructions closely & blended well, very good with rhubarb sauce
      * white chicken enchiladas (newspaper) ~ very good, although 2 tortillas with recipe as written 846 calories (created in MFP recipes)
      * Greek yogurt almond butter breakfast parfait (newsletter) ~ terrific, if high in calories... maybe tweak
      * garlic scape basil pesto (internet blog) ~ excellent! tried as recommended with pasta (used up my radiatore)
      * summer squash, zucchini, mushroom casserole (TOH) ~ excellent! & good way to use squash & zucchini
      * zucchini meatloaf (sister) ~ good but hubby prefers classic recipe
      * moussaka America's Test Kitchen tv show ~ very tasty, nice size portions & filling, though complicated with four distinct layers & many prep steps ~ nice to have an alternate eggplant recipe
      * peach cobbler (BH&G) used qt fresh peaches grown in Ripon
