    Depends on [other] factors.

Generally 1g per pound of GOAL ideal body weight is a good rule of thumb for obese people.

So...around 120-150g per day...but there are other factors like gender, activity level, amount of purposeful exercise, health issues, and more. If you want targeted advice, see a dietician. The amount of info you've given here is pretty sparse.

Im presently doing 18% to 25% daily, depending on the particular meals I'm eating.
I didnt really plan it that way- I just pick the foods I'm happy with, and those are the numbers that come out.
Im 5'8" 50M and I started losing weight mid-February, and went from 193 to 180 in about 10 weeks. Daily calories between 1500 and 1800. I do have MFP subtract calorie burn from my exercise.

    I'm with Riverside, generally.

You could also try this evidence-based source for a protein "calculator" and guide for more detail:

    https://examine.com/protein-intake-calculator/
    https://examine.com/guides/protein-intake/

The guide portion mentions that if currently quite overweight, it can make sense to use goal weight as the basis for estimating.
