    SW for May - 305.4
    GW for May - 299.0

May 1: 305.4 No water aerobics class today, as I was needed to watch my youngest grandchild (a 3 month old girl <3 ) while my son and his fiancรฉ took care of some phone calls with the insurance company. They were rear ended by a pickup truck yesterday, (the whole rear of their car was smashed in) and thank God they came through it with only whiplash. The baby came out without a scratch, even though the back seat and her car seat were shoved all the way into the back of the front seat. They were very, very fortunate. My husband took us out to eat afterwards to a new-to-us restaurant. The food was really good, and while I ate mostly healthy and stayed under my calories for the day, I did indulge in some breaded and fried zucchini. So we'll see what that's going to cost me, when I weigh myself tomorrow.

Happy May everyone! ๐Ÿฆ‹ Iโ€™m Kat and I live in rural NV with my boyfriend and 5 cats. Iโ€™ve been on a slow weight loss/fitness journey since February. This monthโ€™s challenges will be heavy workload and stress at work and renovations and other projects around the house with 10 days off at the end of the month to focus completely on renovations. My main goal this month is to not burn myself out with so much going on! Mostly healthy meals, exercising when I have energy, and a healthy focus on emotional/mental health.
    SW: 122.6
UGW: TBD, ~105ish depending on muscle

    5/01: 113.8
    5/02: 114.2
    5/03: 113.0
    5/04: 112.6
    5/05: 112.8
5/06: 111.8 Things are going fairly well. I've started researching adding more protein into my diet as I get closer to my goal. I've always struggled finding protein-rich foods I like enough to eat every day, but I've already been hitting around 50 grams with the changes I've made so far. I think 80 grams is recommended so I'll have to play around and see where I can sneak in some more!
    5/07: 112.4
5:08: 112.4 Busy, busy! But tomorrow is my 'Friday' so I'm looking forward to the break!

@deepwoodslady - Protein has definitely been tricky! Switching to a yogurt with 20 grams has helped a bit; I put it in my smoothie bowls and overnight oats. I used to hate greek yogurt, but I added a tiny bit of Biscoff spread and granola and I liked it enough to be a desert on it's own so that is one thought I've had to try! I've also wondered about getting an unflavored protein powder so I could add it more things. I'll let you know how it works if I try it!

Hey all, Charlene here. I'm 58yo, 5'8", married 40 years, 6 kids, 9 grandkids, and I'm a caregiver for the elderly so they can stay in their homes.

    Goal weight: 150
    April 30: 182.3
    May 8: 185.3
    May 9: 185.8

Yardwork day yesterday. I have an oval decorative plants area in my front yard for curb appeal, and it had been 20 years since I replaced the landscape fabric around the plants. Finished that, then 3 bags of mulch. I'm getting too old to carry those things, ugh!

We made a fire in our back yard fire pit and burned a bunch of old sticks that had been falling in the yard all winter; then in the ashes we buried foil-wrapped sausage and vegetables to roast for dinner. Yum! But I ate all my exercise so I went over my calories.

@deepwoodslady ohhh, I completely understand about those sugar cravings and the grandkids snacks! I also have a hard time if those are around.

@live2walk ouch on the cost of a new ac unit! But gold star for staying on your plan yesterday.

    Joining this thread late.

I'm Sierra, 5'8 35/f from Vermont diagnosed with schizophrenia and alcohol use disorder. I started my weight loss journey at 213.6 pounds when I finally found a combination of antipsychotics that worked for me (Haldol and Caplyta) and was able to quit drinking to cope with my symptoms. I immediately started eating keto in addition to cutting out alcohol and I dropped well over 20 pounds the first month and have steadily been dropping about ten every month since, although I don't seem to be on track to do so this month.

I added in exercise on Jan 6 in the form of biking 45 minutes 7 days a week on a stationary bike which I bought for about $200 off Amazon; I've missed maybe 4 days since. Just this past Saturday (May 4) I started walking at least 10k steps a day as well.

I'm leaving on a trip to England to visit my fiance a week from today (next Thursday May 16th) for two weeks, getting back June 1st, which I fear will derail my progress, but I'm going to do the best I can.

My goal for June 1st, the day I return, is 142 lbs.

    My weigh-ins so far:

May 1: 150.6 (but I had weighed in the day before at 140.6, so I'm really counting it as that)
May 2: 144.4 (FLUKE OF THE SCALE)
    May 3: 149.4
    May 4: 149.4
    May 5: 149.2
    May 6: 149.6
    May 7: 148.6
    May 8: 147.0
    May 9: 147.6

Hey all, Charlene here. I'm 58yo, 5'8", married 40 years, 6 kids, 9 grandkids, and I'm a caregiver for the elderly so they can stay in their homes.

    Goal weight: 150
    April 30: 182.3
    May 9: 185.8
    May 10: 186.5

Yesterday was over my calories and salt, plus I'm not getting enough water. Only had 40oz yesterday. But progress that we haven't eaten out. So it's a mixed bag.

Hubby had some errands to do and pay bills etc, so I got the dishes done, washed laundry, ironed clothes and pillowcases. Tried to get on Steam/Discord to play Golf With Friends with a couple of granddaughters, but I had some login issues so I wasn't able to join in. We will try again today.

More yard work today, then disc golf with one of hubby's minions, and video game with said grandkids in the evening.

    @deepwoodslady happy happy birthday!

@kksbirthdayparty Welcome to our group. It's so wonderful to have you here. Congratulations on your success in quitting drinking. I am wishing you much success on your journey to good health and fitness. Your upcoming trip sounds exciting!

My name is Donna. I am 5โ€™ 5โ€ tall, 63 years old and from Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Weight in blue makes me blue because itโ€™s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itโ€™s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

05/10-DNW-(Trend Weight DNW)- My 64th birthday! My 64th birthday! This is also my no weigh Friday. Only 4 hours between the time I went to bed and the time I woke up which would really affect the scale. My kids have informed me that they have chipped in on a new Fitbit Charge 6 for my gift. However, there is a delay in delivery so I should have it by next week. Iโ€™m excited about having an updated version! Yesterday: meals were on point and my exercise increased. Still struggling to put down the coffee and drink more actual water.
