Yay! The Juke passed with flying colours. I visited The Range while I was at the test centre and bought some craft stuff. Really, I can’t be trusted in a craft store 😜

Heather: Glad the you are back with us. Now, all you have to do is “Move it! Move it!”

🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

🙋‍♀️ Miele failte to the newbies.

Finding a place for my mom was insightful, but it took time for me to feel she was ready. It took my mom out of the house with my dog at 1:17 in the morning. I found my dog right away. I had to call the police, and we looked everywhere. Afterward, the police said they would look more in the morning. I continued to search, and I found her six blocks away. I knew we needed to put her in a nursing home. I was so thankful my husband consulted this agency called, "A Place For Mom". The nursing home is not cheap. We are paying 4150 per month, but I have read that some places in California could be 13,000/month. The places in Chicago are 6,000-8,000/per month. Some places I heard can pay the child for caring for their parent, or some agencies can send a nursing assistant to help Annie with her dad's care. That way, she can keep the house.

@Snowflake1968 I need to get started on my kids' book. I am in their pre-school years. I love doing it, yet I haven't worked on it this year. I usually do it with friends, but we haven't gotten together lately.

Lisa, you are so talented with your art.

Matchka and Pip, I am so impressed with your workouts.

Grandmallie- my golden retriever Rose, was waking me up. I told my nutritionist, and he told me to take her to a local shelter. I was so upset that he would suggest such a thing. She has been good after that. I told my husband, Rose, I must have heard what Mr. Paul said.

Margaret, I am so sorry for your loss.

Thanks, I have been doing it for awhile so it’s become a habit

Heather, glad to hear you are doing so well. Be careful and don't over do it.

Tracy - were you the one who questioned whether you snore and how badly? My dentist for the sleep apnea told me to put the SnoreLab app on my phone. It records at night when you snore and how loudly. I used it for the first time last night. Very interesting. According to it I snored lightly between 3 am and 3:30 this morning. You can get the app free or get premium for $3.99/mo. I am using the free version but there is a lot of good info that comes with it too.

Everyone take care, Sue in WA

:) In the years that I've been part of this thread, you've been in my pocket through surgery, illness, husband's surgery and illness, death of family members and death of pets. We've been there for each other for all these tough times and cheered for each other over our successes. You are an important part of my life.

:) It's time for the thread for the new month and I hope I'll see all of you there.

Heather - I’m glad everything went well! Keep us posted on your progress and recovery!

Lisa & Machka - It must be the evergreens or city dirt then. It was too gross. I had lines hung up and everything. Hopefully I can hang laundry at our next place.

I stepped on something a while ago that is stuck in the bottom of my foot. Last week the bump started growing and hurting when I walked so I made a doctor appointment. Long story short, the doctor couldn’t get it out. I had an x-ray and we are waiting to see what is in my foot. I knew I was going to the doctor today, so I did my walking earlier in the week. I preplanned my off day. And I stayed on point with food logging. I did give myself a treat today of 3 little chocolate and a fried egg sandwich. I figure I deserve something nice since it’s Friday and I had to have my stupid tetanus shot. Ugh. Plus, a blood draw, because good things just keep on coming!

Lisa - It took, I’m not kidding - 45 minutes to drive to the doctor’s office. Then it took 1/2 an hour to drive to the imaging center for the x-ray. It makes me feel silly that we would be concerned to live further out. But, if we call 911, we should have an ambulance in 7 minutes. It’s such a balance.

Iris and peonies in bloom here. This picture from last year reminds me it is time to get out and cut a bouquet to bring into the house. I got the plantings from a friend over twenty years ago. My friend now lives in Texas so it is a wonderful reminder.
