πŸ˜€ Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. πŸ˜€

I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.

Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.

You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπŸ˜€

Pick whatever unit suits you -- lbs, kg’s or stones.

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.

It’s not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!πŸ˜€

    Thanks @enlightenme3 for the thread!

    I’m in for July. I’m barely 5’2” after some shrinkage post-menopause. And I have pretty much been in maintenance all year going up and back down 2 lbs. I do have a couple of reunions in July and August and am aiming for the magic number of #3 down and holding by the end of summer. Will need to concentrate on more protein and summer vegetables and minimal white flour, sugar and wine.

    I would love to join.
    I keep losing and gaining the same 3lbs.
    My doctor wants to put me on weight loss medicine. After doing some research on the medicine, I don't think its a good choice. I only need to loose about 25 lbs. I need help to stay focused.

    I will update start weight & goal weight in the morning.

    @cinw1501 I also keep losing and gaining the same 2-3 lbs for over the last six months. Glad you’re here! The thread is full of encouraging stories.

    I officially have one week before a trip to San Diego for 3 days. But did have Papa Murphy’s pizza with family last night and enjoyed two pieces of Gourmet Vegetarian. Buckling down today with more water and cleaner eating this week.

    I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
    ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
    My husband and I are retired.
    I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.

    Hey everyone,
    I'm back at it. I did really well for the large part of last year, but life hit me and I slipped up and gained all of it back (35lbs). So going to try and have a few more places to keep me honest this time around. My overall goal is to be healthier, mainly lower BP, get rid of my acid reflux, and generally look better. This is week 2 of my journey back, and I lost 6lbs so far. I'm definitely not counting that as normal as my goal is 1-2lbs a week, however getting back into running is really pushing the loss and I'll take it! Good luck to everyone.

    June was a tough month. I felt off track and over the last couple of weeks, I was eating and exercising in maintenance. I'm really pushing to get back on track in July. I have a vacation coming up at the end of August and hope to finally get back in the 100 club. It's been a while!

    I have causally watched my weight creep up another 10#, and have not been getting decent exercise. (Gardening is not enough!!) So, I am going to shoot for "just this month" to see if I can get this back under control. At 74, I can seem daunting, but I have a dog to walk and you all for inspiration. Thanks.

    Thanks for this post. I have been a member since 2019, starting at 220. I was down to 198 in April 2023. Tried a different program that did not include tracking and have decided I love food too much to rely only on hunger cues. Here's to a losing July !!!
