    09/01- No weigh today as I need a cushion after yesterdays travels. Good luck everyone in September. It’s usually a beautiful month. I can already see the leaves changing colors in Northern Michigan.

    09/05-190.8-(Trend Weight: 191.4)- Weight the same as yesterday, trend weight down a notch. After my haircut I did end up eating off a food truck because I was Starving and I could feel my glucose dropping. It was beef-a-roo truck. I had 3 small chicken strips and some fries where each French fry was so tiny I had to use my bifocals to see them. The food was bland, simplistic and pretty awful. I won’t be doing THAT again! Glad to see my weight sustained and I sincerely hope it don’t rear its ugly head in the days coming. I did tip-toe around food last night for dinner because of it and made some definite adjustments. This is really all about lifestyle changes and I’m glad I was able to make adjustments to my dinner and snack schedule to accommodate without too much trouble. Baby steps getting back in the saddle again.

    Happy Friday! (well… for another 20 minutes at least!)

    Good this week: met and exceeded my goal of maintaining my weight, I actually lost another 1.2 pounds so I’m down 20 as of today! Did not go out for lunch at all, I had a protein shake and protein snack tray when I didn’t bring lunch. Had dinner at home every day but today.

    Could be better: Starbucks every day, didn’t really have time for food prep this week. Pizza for dinner tonight due to choir retreat at school. Went a bit over board last weekend on my vacation, oh well! My glucose monitor got caught on my backpack while traveling and i haven’t been able to get a new one so I took that as a sign to just enjoy the weekend and not worry about it 😂 I also still haven’t got my meds… gotta love insurance!

    Goals for this week: cut Starbucks back to twice a week. More food prep and bring lunch daily. Derby on Sunday. One or two dinners out max

    Happy weekend everyone!

    I'm going to start weighing in on both Sundays and Wednesdays but will only report on Wednesdays. The Sundays will give me a midweek check-in to see whether I need to tweak my intake and/or activity to "atone" for any potential lapses in those areas over the weekend.

    I won't be posting my stats weekly anymore because they take up too much space; however, I will post before and after stats on New Year's Day to show overall progress.

    So far I've been sticking to plan since September 1st. I'm feeling very focused right now.

    Tomorrow I'm going to an outdoor Greek festival. I ought to get a lot of steps in with all the line dancing! We shall see...

    09/12-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I’m using today as a buffer day after a two day medical trip down to the University Hospital. I had Mammogram and Oncology appts. The cancer side is still in remission which is always good news. The “suspicious” side is remaining stable but this time I can wait a whole year for the next check on it. That is such good news! I hope you all will consider scheduling your mammogram soon. October is Breast Cancer awareness month. I share because I care! xoxo

    This was a tough week. I didn’t do the shopping and food prep over the weekend I needed to do to really be ready for the week ahead. I had a field trip on Saturday and got a blowout on the freeway on the way back to school. I was driving the activity bus with 12 students on board so that was fun to deal with! I just had no spoons left to deal with meal prep. Sunday I just vegged out and graded stuff

    I never really brought my lunch in during the week, but I had protein shakes a couple of days and went to the grocery store and picked up some ready to keep meals from the deli section so it wasn’t too bad. I got some heartbreaking news on Wednesday afternoon that really affected me and my students for the rest of the week. Im over the initial shock so trying to get back to my healthy habits this weekend and be ready for this week.

    Goals for this week:roller derby scrimmage today. Go grocery shopping so I can have food here for the week!

    Hi everyone, Happy Weekend and Welcome All!

    I'm sorry to be reporting so late! I am somewhat disheartened to report that my weight on Wednesday was 158, even though I was very careful about food and beverages and walked and danced a LOT that week! Still, I must be honest. I was so bummed out that I went completely off the rails with eating and even consumed several alcoholic beverages from Wednesday through Friday! Why the self-sabotage, I wonder?

    No more! I forgive myself, as I'm only a fallible human. So... Here I go again!

    Enjoy the coming days. I will make sure to report back here on Wednesday, September 18th, which incidentally, is only 15 weeks until January 1st, 2025! I hope to lose a pound per week (or more) so I can ring in the New Year at least fifteen pounds lighter! Let's GO!🩷

    @Walela617 i get how disheartening it is to do all the right things and not see the change you think you should. Maybe letting yourself “go off the rails” will help your body go back into weight loss mode. It’s weird but I’ve found that sometimes when I have a “treat day” (or a few treat days) my weight might go up a bit then come back down pretty quickly and keep going down (see my vacation spike and drop below). Just keep on doing your thing and give yourself some grace! ❤️

    09/05-190.8-(Trend Weight: 191.4)-

    09/12-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I’m using today as a buffer day after a two day medical trip down to the University Hospital. I had Mammogram and Oncology appts. The cancer side is still in remission which is always good news. The “suspicious” side is remaining stable but this time I can wait a whole year for the next check on it. That is such good news! I hope you all will consider scheduling your mammogram soon. October is Breast Cancer awareness month. I share because I care! xoxo

    09/19-194.6-(Trend Weight: 192.6)- Lots more travel this past week which always means too much sitting, no time for regular exercise and plenty of restaurant food. It never bodes well for the scale (or the waistline). More travel tomorrow then things should settle down a bit (I hope). It’s so much easier when I’m home in my “safe zone”.

    Hi everyone,

    Posting a day late. Well, my weight did go down a bit. This morning the scale said 156.6. I will post stats here and again on January 1st because the new year is 15 weeks from yesterday!

    Happy Friday! (Now Saturday by the time I finish writing this 😂). Mostly positive vibes this week and continuing to focus on small attainable goals that I can accomplish with my work load.

    Good this week: I met both goals I had set for myself: participate in roller derby scrimmage and go grocery shopping. I made a really tasty chicken scampi with asparagus and red bell pepped over spaghetti squash so I’ve had that for lunch most of the week. Had my follow up appointment with my doctor so I was able to get a new CGM and a different prescription b/c my insurance is taking forever to authorize the other one, so at least now I have something.

    Areas for refinement: had a few not so good meals this week that spiked my blood sugar way up. I also realized that it tends to stay elevated for about a day after it’s come back down, so that will be something I need to stay conscious of. I’m in a bit of a plateau, but I think it’s my own choices causing it, just Not doing great about staying in my calorie range. I need to get back to some of the lower calorie options I had been making a month or two ago.

    Goals for this week:
    Stay away from fast food (except Starbucks for breakfast). Cut down my Starbucks days from every day to something less than that even 6/7 days will be an improvement. Do a little breakfast prep. Continue to meal prep lunch. No derby this week so I need an alternate activity. Still haven’t fixed my bike and I won’t have time to do that this weekend, so I need to suck it up and work on it after work sometime this week or just go for a walk in the evening or something.
