July Goal: Just get back on track. Get to 209 or below if possible.

    July 8: 214.4
    July 9: 214.7
    July 10: 214.2
    July 11: 213.7
    July 12: 213.8
    July 13: 212.7

I've been mostly consistent using the food diary. Yesterday I did a mile on the treadmill, an then biked on my stationary bike for 15 minutes. I thought I did great (no pain while biking), but went to climb the stairs and started with knee pain again. So it looks like biking is out for now. It's mostly better this morning, but what a freaking bummer. The bike is relatively new. My husband dislikes it, and now I'm not using it.
Question…. How do you @ someone?
So if you want to "@" someone in this thread, you type @, and then the screenname, all as one word -- usually, the platform will auto-complete the screenname as you're typing it (a big blue box). Then you just press enter. When you submit your post, it should have the @ and the screenname in blue, like a link, in your post.

If you're looking to send a message to someone, it's a little more complicated. You first click on their screenname which takes you to an Overview page of that person and their posts. Then you click on the button that says "MyFitnessPal Profile" -- I think if they allow messages, you will see an option to send a message, or add as a friend. But there also might be controls that one has used that keeps their profile private. I have to be honest, I don't add friends or message -- most of what I do on the platform is in a thread like this one. Others might know more/better info than me.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday. 🌞

Being part of this group is really helping me and I’m grateful to you all for your posts

Have another weights session today – think it's building on technique though, which I badly need.

Tonight if the weather holds am going to a BBQ where there will be plenty of wine flowing, but it should be a lot of fun and I will accept the fate of the scales with grace tomorrow.

Hmmm ok. Was hoping it would go back down by now. My legs are puffy so that’s an indication I’m still retaining water. Goal for today is as little sodium as possible.
I suppose if I look on this as a scientific experiment to see how my body responds to stimuli, I’ve learned a lot.

July Goal - Below 200, ideally 197 would be great

    March- Beginning weight 212
    End of June weight -200.8

    July 1-200.5- rest day
July 2-198.7 40 mins cardio, upper body strength
    July 3 -198.6
    July 4=199.3
July 5- DNW - 12 hrs of car travel for a quick but long trip trip to hubby's home town
July 6- DNW but walked 2.25 miles
July 7- DNW 12 hrs car travel to get home again
    July 8th- 198.8
    July 9-199.6
    July 10- 198.6
    July 11-198.6
    July 12- 198.7
July 13th- DNW- this is probably too much to share but it did have an affect on my day -
in a series of weird events, I had to go pick up a horse that I previously sold (to what I thought was a good home) that now is in bad shape . Apparently he got injured and then not cared for or given the right veteranarian care to recover correctly. Heartbreaking day and tough to try to keep my composure with the owner that chose to neglect him . Had to listen to 1000 dumb excuses . Rescue work is tough. I was just grateful I could get him back and now he has a long road to recovery. We have to get xrays and see if his injury is repairable on his leg. He's about 500 lbs underweight . Atleast he is safe but really rough day.
    July 14th- 196.9

Phew ok, scales back down. Thanks @ManifestingToday for your encouragement and advice about temperatures. We are indeed having a heat wave.
I did trampoline for two days and drank lots of water. Lowering sodium didn’t go too well, it’s so hard to avoid!

Back to treadmill only, with some light hand weights. I did really good this weekend -- Saturday usually blows the curve, and even though I had some yummy stuff, I still stayed with it. I am happy with progress for the weekend.

@dannytrees1 It can come from high sodium food, a large meal, irregular bathroom stuff, etc. It's temporary, whatever it is. You didn't gain 3.5 lbs - it's some outlier that will right itself. Keep the faith! You're doing all the right things, as evidenced by your progress!

    @tmbg1 Yay!! :)

@canadamarie It's been brutal here too. But I notice, even with air conditioning, I am more bloaty at all times during the summer than in the dead of winter. The body just operates differently. And I hear you on the sodium. It's in so many things. <3

@SofaKween I'm glad it was a great time!

@jennigerding19 I hope it was a good visit. I'm glad you finally had some time off to relax too!

    Happy Monday, everyone!

I'm committed to doing 10:14 intermitent fasting, to track my meals, and eating mindfully.
This week I want to recommit to logging my foods as I make the dishes, keeping track of my weight, and post here every day.

    Ultimate goal: 73 kg
Medium term goal: Stop looking like I'm pregnant
Short term goal: Fit in my black jeans

Initial June 13th weight: 103 kg
    July 1st: 97.1kg

    July 11th: 95.0
    July 12th: 95.4
    July 13th: 96.2
    July 14th: 94.9

I wore my black jeans in public yesterday! So I consider that short-term goal as achieved ✨...now I must come up with a new short term challenge.

This morning I fell down the stairs, and hurt my left leg pretty badly. I'm alright, and most importantly my baby is alright. With all that happening, I forgot to weigh myself.

Some mornings I’m really tired of the ups and downs with the scales. But I know this is partly the heat and a difficult day at work yesterday.

Congrats @tmbg1 for breaking past that stubborn 210! And for @HappyDonkey75 you’ve added a new tool to your toolkit. Nothing wrong with that! I’ll be interested to see how it goes, I know it has helped others.

@SofaKween thank you! The swelling is starting to clear but I'm still taking pain killers.

@HappyDonkey75 I'm just reading about the horse. I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. Keep us posted.

@canadamarie try is not to focus too much on the varying weights, find other ways to measure your progress, such as clothe sizes or progress pictures. You got this!

@canadamarie - thank you , that is what my nutrition coach said, as long as I don't see it as a crutch or assume by just taking the meds , magic will happen. Still need to put in the hard work.. Which I have already committed to doing. I seriously have no choice but to put in the hard work. I find stress really affects my weight .. work stress especially. Drink more water! Really seems to help with so many things for me. if nothing else it gives me a moment to refocus..

July Goal: Just get back on track. Get to 209 or below if possible.

    July 8: 214.4
    July 9: 214.7
    July 10: 214.2
    July 11: 213.7
    July 12: 213.8
    July 13: 212.7

    July 15: 212.0
    July 16: 212.6
    July 17: 213.4

Not going to lie: I'm feeling pretty defeated this morning. I've worked 10 hr days the past two days, I've worked out. I'm exhasuted. And seeing the number this morning I actually kicked the scale. I have no idea why it's going up. It could be ham -- we tried a slice with our breakfast the past two mornings to add to our eggs. I guess I can stop and see if it goes down again, but all I do is think about the food I can't have. I'm also exhausted and venting.

@SofaKween I hope you are enjoying the weights! And I hope the weather is good enough for a walk -- it's going to be 100F again here today; not doing anything outside.

@HappyDonkey75 I think it's great - I hope you continue to see a benefit from it!

@aurorabarajas1 Oh no, I hope you are ok after the fall! That's so scary. Please take it easy and rest up if you need to. Congrats on wearing the black jeans!! And you are correct about not focusing on the fluctuating weight. I will keep that in mind too - easier said than done (and I've said it a lot).

    @tmbg1 Congrats! You're doing great!

@dannytrees1 I'm so glad you're seeing some positive results with your knees! I hope that continues in more ways going forward.
