Welcome to September everybody!
Sept is off to a good start. I took a two day break from calorie counting but didnβt feel the need to overindulge. Yesterday I picked up the weights for the first time in over a year. I was sidelined by a workplace back injury but Iβm almost fully recovered. I adore weight training and my body was craving it. Felt awesome.
In September I have to WFH due to renovations at work so Iβm looking on this as a time to really focus on food habits like prepping snacks and meal planning. I wonβt have my bike commute so Iβll have to think about a substitute (especially for fresh air and mental health).
My clothes fit so much better now and I feel literally lighter, these are the two things I care about most. Lessening the dead weight I have to drag around with me.
And with all that in mindβ¦

Just popping in today but it's been a lazy day . We went to a BBQ last night and we ate late and I may have overindulged in the amount of food (smoked pork shoulder was SO YUMMY!) I had one and 1/2 alchoholic drinks and I woke up feeling like I had been drugged this morning , but I got 8.5 hrs of sleep.. Could be the alchohol ? I generally have been allowing myself 1-2 drinks a week but don't always even consume them.
Struggled through a workout first thing before I lost my minimal motivation, which helped me feel slightly better and them went into town to get the grocery shopping done.
We had multiple activity options on the calendar and we did none of them other than getting some meal prep done for the week.
Overall not feeling my best today and taking it easy so opted to not weight given the night before

Think the number on the scales today is just an antibiotic blip as Iβm back to eating almost normally. Pain is down to a dull ache and manageable. Contemplating going to weights this evening although will be keeping it low level if I do.
@HappyDonkey75 - getting out to an exercise class when you have little motivation is a big win in my books, so well done! Take care and don't be too hard on yourself.2 -
