    Sept- 1-196.2
    Sept-2-196.8
    Sept-3-194.1
    Sept-4-192.8
For sure this must be a water weight drop, but I’m pushing the plan hard this week… lowering the sodium a lot and pushing the protein and lots of natural exercise.

The bad part is I’m off to another bbq this Sunday, there with be sodium and those ice cold ones involved 😮
I’m expecting a couple pounds coming on back.
Working hard on the game plan again today and getting lots of greens and again keeping that sodium down 👍

    Have a great day everyone

A handful of new joiners and I believe this is the key to making this group work. The more support we rally here and the more people we feel we are accountable to, the better this is going to work. I haven't made the best progress for the first couple of days of September but I did expect this as I was going to slow down my progress intentionally. Just that it feels a little scary that I might actually just plateau here. Lack of fast progress notwithstanding, I am still going to push through. I have an indulgence trip coming up next weekend for 5 days so I am pretty sure I will get some of the weight back but I will definitely work on getting my *kitten* back together when I am back.

For those in the same situation, where you have setbacks and minor bumps along the way, know that you are in control and you can get it back when you decide you want to take back control. YOU are in charge. No one else is.

Alot of folks find that weighing themselves daily makes them a little nuts. I actually find it helpful. It might be that my OCD tendencies are taking over..

Before I started this whole plan, I was that person that never weighed myself.. other than when I went to the doctor. Then I would self loathe for a few days, vying never to look at the scale again til the next year and go buy a food item to make me feel better, which was likely a high calorie item. Food rewards for my emotions and Denial got me to where I was. I don't want to go back to that person.

    1% better

Random observation on when people start to notice your weight loss and actually open their mouth to say something.

For people who see you infrequently, like 2-3 times a year: 10% weight loss
For colleagues, people you work with and see weekly: 11-14% weight loss
For extended family who sees you every week: 15-19% weight loss
For immediate family who sees you every day: 20% or more weight loss

Of course, this is just based on weight. If we are talking about building muscles and changing your physique, then body fat % comes into play. Comments (compliments) are a shot in the arm in your journey. But don't despair when you have not hit the point when people are commenting. No one loses 10% weight in a day. Stick to it, step by step. Compliments will come in waves after the first.

Well… I’ve been sticking to tracking, and trying to move daily.
I got back on the scale this morning and down .6 (but another .5 would put me back in the 50s instead of 60s so I’m feeling driven on that point.)
Walked my dog. Walked on my lunch.
    Hit the gym yesterday.
Tracking my macros and trying to be more mindful about my emotions around food.

    Hello !
I would like to join you if possible
I live in France and I have re-started my weight loss journey on 30th of July
    • Start weight - 30JUL - 116.6kgs (257 lbs)
    • Current weight - 110.7kgs (244 lbs) - down 5.9 kgs (13 lbs)
    • Goal weight - to be on "normal BMI", so 76kgs (168 lbs) - hopefully by May next year

I exercised 3 times this week at the gym, and am counting my calories.
I am also playing with Excel to build graphs and watch the numbers going down, and this helps
    Let's keep it up !

    HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE

Next week might be a stressful one. As I mentioned before, my parents that were supposed to arrived a couple of weeks ago are now actually arriving..there was a health issue that popped up for my dad and surgery is scheduled for October... so they are coming here for a shorter visit than originally anticipated.
I haven't slept more than 5-6 hours that last few nights , likely stress and anticipation of what is to come. While I love my parents , they are not easy people to be around for various reasons that I won't get into. To add to that my house is not very big and not set up in such a way to handle my mothers various needs due to her disabilities and neither one has any respect for boundaries. I am trying to focus on the positive to be able to have the time with my parents but our relationship has been difficult over the last few years. All I can do is try to make the best of it.

Hey, I thought I was alone in using Excel to build graphs and watch numbers! This is fun and I don't know another person who does that, until your first post! Welcome to this board. Your progress is good and target quite ambitious. My advice will be that you keep at it, regardless of whether you are going to hit the goal or not. Even if you are at the 6 months mark and your Excel trendline is showing that you are not going to hit the goal, keep going. Even if you don't hit your goal by May 2025, you will be in a better place. And if you don't hit it by May, then given yourself another 6 months. As long as you are trending downwards, it is just a matter of time.

I hope you know how good you will be looking at 74KG! By the way, I was 118KG before, so heavier than you are. I am now 30KG less than that point in my life so if you doubt an ordinary person can do it, I assure you it can be done. The only, ONLY, key to reaching your goal is never giving up.

@SofaKween If you haven't already, get some probiotics - try combination acidophilus/bifidus capsules, or yogurt with active cultures. It should help. If the side effects don't stop, please talk to your doctor; especially with age, some antibiotics start to have worse effects. I've been able to handle Augmentin my entire life, and now I'm 'allergic to it. <3 I hope you're mostly feeling better though!

@perrine421 Welcome to the group! I hope you find motivation here to attain your goals!

@HappyDonkey75 Sending you all the energy to get through this visit with focus on the good. At least you know there's a definite end date to their visit (unlike before). You've got this. The Universe has got your back in all of this. <3

Welcome back, @tmbg1! Good to see you again!

Super happy for all of your progress @9bhtn65nzj! You're doing great!

@dannytrees1 Please enjoy your BBQ! You even skipped the other one. I hope you have a great time and enjoy it as the treat it is.

Well, I’ve indulged in alcohol almost every day this week and the scale shows it so I only have myself to blame. Not drinking myself under the table but about two drinks a night. Even when it fits within my calorie limit, it still shoots the scale up. Pair that with very little movement because I’m WFH this month, not great. This group is doing so well and I am motivated by it. I WILL do better!

Also I JUST noticed that in all my posts so far this month I’ve been putting August instead of September!! Did you guys think I was bananas? Did you not notice?? I’m laughing at myself and my addled brain.

Didn't weigh today. Well I did but I didn't like the number so I am going to ignore it. hoping tomorrow is better

@canadamarie - I actually did notice and was going to put a note here to let you know but then I was like- " welp, she'll figure it out eventually":) :D

The alchohol thing.. yep , it does the same thing to me even when I am within calories. Sad isn't it? I am to where I allow myself 1-2 drinks a week . I actually don't miss it. I do miss cookies and cake though! Today I indulged in a vanilla ice cream cone for myself.
We will see what the scale thinks. I am not hopeful

NEW GOAL FOR END OF SEPT: 175 lbs
GOAL FOR END OF DECEMBER:160 lbs

    1st Sept: 187 lbs
    2nd Sept: 185.5 (water weight I’m sure)
    3rd Sept 184.5 lbs
4th Sept: 184 lbs (I think this is the last of the water weight now)
    5th Sept 182.8 lbs
6th Sept: 182!!! 5 lbs down and have met my initial goal for the month! I have been eating clean and drinking 2 litres of water every day and I have noticed that I’m also not bloated anymore. I am excited to continue the month and see if I can beat 175 lbs 🤞🏼
7th Sept: 181.2 am sooo close to breaking into the 170’s!!!
8th Sept: 181 I had a really late lunch/dinner yesterday and I think that has impacted the scales this morning. On the positive side I hit 10,000 steps yesterday so I’m really happy about that. I have lunch out today meeting friends at a restaurant so am expecting that to show on the scales tomorrow.
