🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 272 (my 202nd). So grateful as always @Quiltingjaine for another round.
This round will be a challenge as we are on holiday in Spain for the whole 10 days, eating in the hotel for 2 meals per day & not being in control of food preparation is always difficult to calculate calories. I CAN do it again if I remain strong.
Goals for this round;
• First and foremost, no feeding frenzies
• to try not to gain!
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

Morning, 4:54a in NJ, coffee time before heading to gym for strength training before work. I do long walks. 4.5 on average, on Sat&Sun, and do 3-4 days per week with weights. Do walk during week but with hubs and pups so slower and not as far, consider that relaxing cardio not a great workout😁
I am yo yo queen, have not been below 175 since my oldest born 35 years ago.. highest over years was about 220.. lost a few times dipping toes to 180s..this round, began in May at 212, hit 189 on weekend this week but due to fluctuations ( salt/retention) I’m 190 today..I’m good with that as it always comes right back off, I have been 100% on track so I know it’s nothing I can control👍

Goal- hate to say a number as goal is fit and healthy but I’ll venture a number of 150

9/23- 173.0 I did manage to end last round at 171 but clearly I’m still bouncing around in the low seventies. I’m still waiting on TOM, frustration station!!!
I’m going to have to meditate on what is so different right now from two weeks ago when I was enjoying the 169’s.
I know it’s partially hormones. I also think I’m drinking less water.
I know yesterday was a salt bomb and didn’t need the second scoop of pasta or the bowl of cereal before bed.
I’m going to keep trusting the process. Self awareness and reflection to help me understand my eating and make better decisions!!!
My workouts are on point and while some things never get easier, I do get better at them!6 -

I joined this group in Rnd 245 on Dec 18 2023, when I realized I was eating my way through the holidays; I finally got on the scale and was hovering just under 150 lbs. It took about 4 months to reach my goal weight of 125. Sounds great, but I’ve done this before, which is why I’m still here.
It’s not just about losing, it’s about changing the habits of a lifetime that keep me stuck in self-defeating cycles with food.

9/23: good start to this round. I'm back at goal weight, but last round I bounced up and down quite a bit. so this round the goal is to steady the course and not go back over 125.X at all. Doesn't sound like much, but gives me a little play for the fall and winter nesting ahead.
I'm past the 9 month mark with this challenge, and it's the first time in my life that I've stuck to any group/plan for this long, so thank you to all of you, and especially @quiltingjaine for keeping us going!6 -

I pledge to prioritize each of these #HSF choices EVERY DAY of Oct:
1. P:E: Proteing greater than 1:1 vs. Energy g. [Pg > (Cg+Fg)] (and kcals = avg. maintenance).I will continue this nutrition plan. It is supposed to support muscle gain with fat loss while 🏋🏼♀️🤸🏼♀️ 🎾. I will continue to track NSVs/macros/ activities, etc. to learn about my body.
2. 🙏📝📚🧐 - I will continue to pray, journal, research. This is my aspect of “leveling up” because I am nothing without my relationship w/Jesus Christ. I’ve also grown into loving/enjoying learning about my body & healthy aging. Replacing BAD habits w/ GOOD habits is a journey in itself. This practice helps me stay present /mindful of many decisions/ thoughts/ actions that impact not only nutrition, but improves self-talk & interactions w/others.
3. 🏋🏼♀️this is my biggest challenge. I still don’t like it. Not one bit. I have some days that it clicks, but it’s a daily struggle. Living “fake it till I make it”… Faking my “identity”. My hope is that some 🏋️♀️version eventually becomes a healthy habit. I’m working on a minimum of 10-minute “🏋🏼♀️snacks” 2-3x per day, 5x per week. Gosh, how I wish someone, ANYONE would have told me in my earlier years that 🏋🏼♀️is the key to fat-loss / maintaining - NOT cardio. I was brainwashed.
4. Healthy Aging - includes mobility, flexibility, balance and agility. While I do stretch every morning plus “stretch snacks”… I want to up this game… I will start to add “sprints” (which is NOW only fast jogging… 😂) and plyometrics (celebrating a 2” vertical jump) 😂. I read to “sprint” is vital as we age…..
5. I have much “work” to do with family relationships. Won’t detail here, but it’s a challenge & my overall health will not flourish without this being acknowledged and improved. Mind, body & spirit are connected. I won’t be fully content until I reconcile this part of my life.
6. Sleep- This is a big one. I’m usually fast asleep by 8:30-9PM. I can’t stay up later…. I love getting up early. I’m good with a 5AM wake up but I want to sleep soundly through the night. Will continue to prioritize this key component to health and well-being…
7. Have fun… lighten up … & give myself permission to be spontaneous. (This is THE HARDEST)!!!!

9/23 ⚖️131.0 - starting back after a 48 hr bug - sleep, sleep & more sleep. Feeling lethargic sipping my coffee but will WILL myself to a “can do will do” attitude today. Not quite sure yet what exactly after two days in bed I can accomplish, but will re-enter #HSF as best as I can. 💦💦💦, Short 🚶♀️this morn, DGS this afternoon, & somehow I will play tennis tonight. I want to smile often today.

9/23 162.4 Feeling very bloated this morning, and I’m not sure why, but it will pass. I’m going to track in my posts this round a couple of goals to help me stay focused, so I’ll be experimenting with a system to do that. This week will be hard. We are putting our sweet lab, Sugar, down this morning, then on Thursday, we have the Celebration of Life for my parents (Mom died during Covid, so we are combining her service with Dad’s per his wishes). I expect I’ll have to fend off a lot of emotional eating this week, beginning today! Bought some Winesap apples in the mountains this weekend and made cinnamon apples with Swerve yesterday. Hope everyone has a great round.

62 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then weight up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress took off another 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress became gain)

Continuing to figure out maintaining, and to work on best nutrition and exercise.
History:Harry and Han are our cats, who travel with us. Have two “kids”, who are very much adults, a two grandsons. We have two parents, 87(mother), 85(MIL) still with us, and I have logically been needing to help them more as they age. I got my act in gear during COVID, somewhat inspired by NOT becoming my parents. I lost 30 lbs and was exercising daily. Unfortunately, I am an “all in or not” person. Hubby and I seeing our family home and downsizing distractions, plus medical incident with my father and all their new needs, became an excuse (father has since passed and I am DPOA, Personal representative AKA executor, trustee, and oversee the majority of my mother’s care). A year and a half later, I gained 25 lbs and lost all my athletic improvements. I need to figure out balance and how to make health be a daily priority for life!

Good last round. Slow progress on the scale, but I'll take it. I was hiking in Big South Fork TN over the weekend and who knows what I ate. I did my best to live in the real world and limit the damage. My NSV was bringing my cholesterol down from 269 to 229. That's a 40 point drop! It's nice to be able to celebrate these victories. It's not something that comes up in normal conversation with others.

Welcome newbies: @LauriePar & @lisa0134. This is a great place to be. I'm on the newish side myself but have found it very grounding to parse this out 10 days at a time.
And congrats to @judefit1. I too, hope to be here when I been part of this discussion for nine months, contently maintaining my ultimate goal weight. You are an inspiration!

9/23 - 136.6 🚫⏱️ Hello, weekend weight! I'm sure a lot of this is water, but I think I'm getting to the point in my cycle where my body likes to hold onto that for a little while. At least if my annoyance at DH is any indication (it usually is, lol). It was a lovely family weekend, though. We had the famer's market, halloween decorating, a small music festival in a cool little hippie enclave 40 minutes away, and apple picking with my dad and step-mom. But of course we also had the restaurant meals that being busy usually entails. I meal planned and grocery shopped yesterday afternoon, however, so I feel prepared for the week ahead. Most of my goals are the same this round but I decreased the number of intermittent fasting days. When I lift in the morning I like to eat breakfast afterward. I missed my alcohol-free goal by a day so I'm going to repeat my goal of 5 days. Honestly DH is an awful influence in this area. It's definitely a lot easier to not drink when we're both not drinking, but right now that goal is not on his radar, and I can only lead by example. Today my activity will be dog walking and weight lifting.7 -

09/23 -193.8- (Trend weight -193.6-) No change probably due to no TMI. Overall it was a good day yesterday. No formal exercise but I did do more yard work/fall cleanup. Today Reno group #1 will work on adding the vinyl siding to the dormers upstairs since the roof is done. They will also be replacing the fascia all around the house. It’s beginning to come together. Group #2 will probably work on completing the deck although it’s wet outside so I’m not sure. The deck on the side of the house off my bedroom doorwall is done so now I have a small coffee deck facing the woods that I know I’m going to love in the early mornings. Wishing everyone a great round. Let’s Crush it!!!!
